Recently established in May, we have a passion for games and realized a need for a game, toy, and puzzle specialty store in old Folsom.

Business Owner

Always a lover of games since Candy Land and Monopoly as a child, I discovered an entire board game industry while in college which I never knew existed. It led me to establish a ‘Sunday Funday’ game night with friends and begin to grow a solid collection of games. While pursuing an MBA, I decided to invest into board games and sell online, with the dream of one day owning a brick and mortar store.

After meeting my business partner Ron, I realized that opportunity had presented itself, and we opened The Game Getaway in Folsom.

My dream is to revitalize the board game industry and revolutionize the way games are seen. I know most people have memories of playing games with their friends and parents as kids, and I want everyone to be able to again share that experience as adults with their friends and their kids.
