I have been looking for a new cheese steak location, since my go-to location change ownership and its no longer the same. The food here is delicious, finger licking good. YUMMY!!! Writing this review is making me hungry. I have ate here several time whenever I’m in the area. I remember my first time here, I sat there and just looked at the menu trying to figure out what I wanted to try out first. There menu isn’t too big, but there a lot of options. You can pick from chicken breast or angus rib eye steak and the different size cheesesteaks. Of course if you don’t like cheese steaks, there other food they serve there too like hot dogs, burger and fries. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to make the best of my dining experience, I end up with the original Philly with whatever choice of cheese I wanted and I went with provolone. The choice of cheese range from American, Provolone, Cheese Wiz or Pepper Jack cheese. My hubby got another cheese steak so I got to tried his too. I don’t remember exactly what he got though, but it was yummy too. The food is made to order and always come out nice and toasty. We ordered a few sides to try fries, curly fries and their tots. I love my potatoes, it came out hot and crispy. The staff didn’t let anything sit at the window, when the food was done, it was bought to us right away… and of course I can’t help myself but try everything… Since I took forever during my first visit there, the staff was super awesome and was very patient with me. Good thing I came during an off hour between lunch and dinner, so there wasn’t a line. The restaurant is nice, there a lot of seating and a long bar height table in the center of the room that people were sitting at watching the game. Its a great place to watch the game, I would come here to hang out with my friends to watch the game too… I wish they open up one in Sacramento, because Folsom is a little out of my way. I can’t wait until I come around this area to get a cheese steak.

So, here’s the deal. The steaks are great, but the pricing. Oh my god. There is no reason a steak, soda, and fries should cost 16.50 after tax. Now, mind you, that is the 7 inch philly with double meat, double cheese(11.99), or should I say the norm in Philadelphia. Maybe a combo meal is in order? I wish this review would be an opportunity for the establishment to learn something, but past reviews show that the owner can not take suggestions(sorry dude, bad business when you argue with customers and respond like a twelve year old).

Only giving this place a star because I can’t give any lower. Frequent customer while bill went into night order town just for my family. Got home bread was stale meat was a little of finding nothing but cheese. Called to complain and the ladies excuse was that they keep their bread in the freezer no offer to come back get me sandwiches anything I hope this isn’t the way his business is always ran never had a problem there before would recommend to ask if their bread is fresh before you go in

I’ve eaten here several times and I’m very picking about my food all the times I’ve been it has been great. So I’m disappointed to see reviews noting the owner has responded very negatively to review instead of using it as a tool to improve. I wish there more locations throughout Sacramento and bay. My food has been hot and fresh every time, u can even call ahead. Yes it’s a little pricey, however the staff has been great.

Second time visiting this restaurant. A small cheese steak sandwich costs $ 7.99 which lack a regular portion of meat! Very greasy but most philly cheese steak sandwich are typically greasy. I guess it’s the cost that is a joke.

I’ve given this place plenty of chances and each time it just gets worse and worse. Today was especially bad. I came here for lunch during work and waited at the counter for 5 minutes before being acknowledged– meanwhile the two girls working in the back were chatting away. I then waited over 20 minutes for my order of a 7 inch cheesesteak.(This could be due to the fact that another worker came in with her small son and went in the back and chatted it up with the two girls, this also again left the register unattended.) They weren’t busy and there were only two other tables in the shop who were already done with their food. The long wait, price, and overall poor customer service will definitely keep me away from this place. Came back again earlier this week and my sandwich was amazing and the way I ordered and the service was quick and friendly.

Very Disappointed. Hardly any cheese. They charge you extra for Augus after the guy taking our order didn’t even know what Augus was when we asked. Cheese steak sandwich without augus. Really?

Hubs loves this place, he raves about the cheese steaks and enjoys watching the sports channel while dining. He’s been here several times for lunch. So he brought me here for the first time on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The #9 Cali cheese steak was Delicious! The meat was seasoned well(nice peppering) and chopped Philly style. The meat was moist and I’m not talking about greasy moist. The cheese was of good quality that had a nice«stretch». The bun was hearty and held up well. Tater tots was perfectly crisped and moist. The gal at the register and the one that served the food were sweet hearts. They were upbeat and engaging. The place was packed. It’s a stand in line and order operation with the food brought to your table. We ordered the 1 large #9 Cali $ 12.99 and 1 side of tater tots(I think it was $ 2.49?). When we told the lady at the counter that we are going to share, she said that she’ll tell the cook to cut the sandwich. Anyway, we sat at the long communal high bar table. We choose seats facing the 2 tvs on the wall, perfect viewing spots. Both nfl games were playing, but no audio. They had music playing. But the closed caption was on. We didn’t request it, but the cook equally split out our order onto 2 trays, even the 1 order of tots. Awesome!

Changed to one star because owner continues to message anyone who does not post a positive review. He replied to mine when it was originally posted. Then he replied to the most recent one. Now he messaged me telling me im wrong a second time! Once is unprofessional as is. Twice is embarrassing. Go to the cheese steak shop by Safeway. You’ll be treated much better

Our food wasn’t bad, it was just very expensive for how little there was. Very disappointed with that. $ 33 for two sandwiches, two fries and two drinks; for a place with a fast food atmosphere. I don’t think we’ll be coming back. Also some guy named Bill R. wrote me an angry worded comment after this posts. Perhaps he’s the Bill from Wild BILL’S Cheesestakes? Poor ownership attacking your customers’ reviews? Not cool… Beware of posting negative comments about this place.

Like being back in philly. It was closing time and they weren’t going to serve me, but had second thoughts and called me back and took my order and couldn’t be nicer even offered to bring it to my car. Will definitely go back and tell everyone about this place.

Always a solid choice for lunch when you have a hankering for a really great cheese steak. Get they have a lot of choices, I do garlic onions, and sweet peppers myself, with American Cheese and a ton of beef. That with a cold PBR and lunch is served!!!

Great cheese steak. We had the Original Philly and was big and tasty. Next on our list is the Rocky. It’s the Philly with mushrooms.

Let me say something right off the bat — the cheesesteak sandwich my hubby got was a solid 4 out of 5. He enjoyed it but was not overly«wowed» by it. The reason we give it 3 out of 5 stars is because we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food which was a bummer. In summary, we would give it another try sometime but hope for a little faster service.

Wild Bill’s has the best cheesesteak sandwiches around! My personal favorite is the large cheesesteak with bacon and mushrooms super good. It’s right next to my college and is my normal lunch spot. I highly recommend you give them a try you won’t regret it!

I usually get a 12″. I like mushrooms, peppers, and onions. So you either have to get a Rocky and add peppers and onions, or a Cali and add mushrooms. It’s pretty greasy. I live almost walking distance and by the time I get it home the bread is hopelessly moist. Finally, there is no steak sauce.(This seems criminal to me.) Overall, though, it’s the best(only?) steak and cheese in town and it’s pretty good and conveniently close. Oh yeah, the tables are kinda weirdly set up in relation to the tvs. So, if even one person comes in before you, they likely will sit at the big table facing the tvs thus rendering you to choose from tables where you either cannot see the tvs because you are under them or you’re pretty much facing the person who sat down. Like I said though, I’ll still be going back. =)

Hubby and I were in the mood for cheesesteaks while out and about in Folsom and saw Wild Bill’s while driving past a strip mall and decided to try our luck. The restaurant is small and very clean with very friendly staff behind the counter. After looking over the menu we ordered: 12″ Payton-original w/lettuce, tomato, mayo 12″ Joe-spinach, mushroom Side of steak fries and 1 soda For a total of $ 29!!! The sandwiches were delicious and huge with plenty of meat in them… we both only ate half our sandwich and saved the rest for dinner. We would love to eat here again but it’s a bit pricey for regular visits.
