H&R Block

Do your taxes here if you want someone who is a moron to get 250 $ for doing what you can do better on turbotax.
I tried to file my taxes with my wife at the 16 920 C Foothill Blvd Fontana, CA 92 335 Location. They told me that I didnt get a refund, and I was not eligible for a waiver on healthcare fines. Because of this I thought I was forced to do taxes myself, to maximize my refund amount.
So I Start doing them on turbotax and I learn that I DO QUALIFY for the healthcare waiver, saving me and my wife about 900 $ on our refund.
H&R Block representatives are poorly trained. Just save yourself and do them on TurboTax, or honestly just find a private tax agent to do them, because H&R Block is not worth the money, in fact it might end up costing you based on the Tax Reps training or lack of training.

I’ve done my taxes here for over 8 years. My account specialist was with Blanca G. and she was good at her work. The year before last she was gone and I was assigned a new rep who seemed to know what she was doing. Did my taxes but did not apply my payment correctly which lead to my having to pay again later in order to have corrections made to my taxes. It was a great hassle to get my money back especially since this is a seasonal office, meaning once tax season is done there is no one here to help you. H&R corp then sent me to the office south on Sierra whose people would not return my call. When I finally met with them they assured me I would be taken care of. After a month and a half of following up with them their branch manager transferred to a different location and they then sent me to the Upland office. Upland redid my taxes and said if I could show proof of the previous payment they would reverse the second charge of $ 500. I came back with my receipt and after two more months of giving me the run around they refunded me half…
Like a fool I went back to this H&R Block this year to do my 2014 taxes thinking that I shouldn’t hold the mistake of one against the whole office. I was not right…
My tax professional was not knowledgeable of her work. I had to remind her of what tax credits I am eligible for. I felt as if though I was doing my own taxes and she was just typing for me. I asked, «shouldn’t you be asking me questions like. Are you a full time student?» or «Do you work from home?» or «Do you have business expenses?» Standard stuff… It took her over 3 hours to get my taxes done. I had to request help from a manager who herself could not understand how to write off my business miles. I must say it was a very frustrating experience. They ended up making it right by waiving my fees and I was content with that. Later I received a letter in the mail attempting to collect my fees of $ 132.50 and when I called to speak with them their office was closed for the year. Had to call corporate who informed me there are no remarks logged explaining the fee waiver so I will have to pay after all.
I just want to warn you. This place is not what it used to be, they have new people with little experience and if they mess up your taxes you are pretty much alone. Find someone else and prevent this from happening to you.
