Eye Care West Optometry OC

I have been going to Eye Care West for 4 years and I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff members are extremely courteous and Dr. Fong really takes his time and carefully explains everything.
An example of how courteous they are: 2 years ago, my frames were accidentally broken. I took them back to Eye Care West and even though it was my fault they broke, they helped me find a new pair (very tricky when trying to replace frames with existing lenses). The staff member spent about ½ hour just helping me find a pair that were similar in size so that the lenses would fit. Then, she gave me a discount even though they were not on sale.
There are a lot of optometry places to choose from and it’s hard to select one. Thus, I hope the above helps anyone looking for a new optometrist.

Third time my husband and I have seen this Eye Dr. Every time we really were well taken care of throughout the whole experience and their friendly and helpful staff are very qualified in assisting with eyeware also.

Service here is great. I called to make sure my insurance worked there — it did! They were able to schedule an appointment a few days later that that worked with my work hours. I filled out my paperwork online to save time. When I got there everything was ready to go and I was seen within 5 minutes. The entire staff was super friendly. I appreciate that they wipe down the machines right before you use them so you know they’re squeaky clean. Dr. Fong is hands down the nicest of my doctors. I ended up getting prescription glasses, (they don’t really try to «sell you» or pressure you into getting anything from them) my costs vs. insurance’s portion was explained clearly. I’ll be back in a year.

First time visit and loved this office! Dr. Fong was super nice and knowledgeable. The staff was also super nice. The young lady who did my testing was very nice and informative, she explained the procedures and was very knowledgeable. They have a nice selection of frames, I highly recommend this office.

This place is great! I accompanied my brother for his eye appointment and his first try in wearing contacts. The doctor was very friendly and gave my brother his undivided attention. He wasn’t rushing at all and definitely took his time to answer my brother’s questions, making sure my brother was comfortable and understanding the whole process.
The lady that helped my brother practice putting his contacts on for the first time was very patient and supportive of my brother. She took her time as well, explaining everything to him, making sure he understood the steps on cleaning and putting on contacts.
They also gave myself and my brother plenty of free contact lenses solutions. This place is officially my new favorite optometry place!

Great place! Very thorough and professional. I just wish they had more frame selections. Thats the only reason I didn’t give them a 5!

Love this place. The staff is super duper friendly. Doctor cares about his patients. Not just their eyes but about them in general. Ive been there 4 times and everytime i feel welcomed. Support this buisness.

I came in for an eye exam and left very angrily due to the receptionist named Rosa. She did not make eye contact with me when I walked in and I asked her if there was a bathroom and her response was «why?» I thought this was so rude I said «I’m taking my services elsewhere» and she started laughing. I would never have an employee like her I recommend firing her immediately. I am never coming back to this place nor recommended it to anyone else

Dr. Carleton Fong, OD is a great Doctor, excellent experience and so professional and did an excellent and very complete eye exam. They are tucked away in a beautiful medical building in Foothill Ranch and I will be returning for all my eye care needs. Thank you also to awesome assistant who sits up front, the blond was awesome, sorry I forgot your name but she is very knowledgeable about frames, insurance and excellent customer service.

Yay I can see! Dr. Fong is a genius! Every other optometrist I’ve seen has been stumped when it comes to putting me in the right prescription. One visit with Dr. Fong and I see the world in a different light — well, more accurately put — I can see the world, period! Office staff were all very friendly and helpful. I feel really thankful that I found these guys — and right in my backyard too! Large chains like LensCrafters usually have doctors right out of school, it seems like. It makes a real difference to be under the care of an experienced professional! Highly recommend!

Dr. Fong and his team showed concern, compassion and understanding when I walked into their office at the end of the day with an eye emergency. I’m from out of state, and was treated with sincere concern. Thank you Dr. Fong and Eyecare team!

Eye Care West OC is a great office.
I have seen Dr. Fong for many years and do not want to go anywhere else. They have a wonderful staff, a fantastic selection and great pricing. The office is clean and the staff are extremely professional.
I moved away several years ago and still am willing to drive 40 minutes to come to here. It’s that good.

This is a well run office. The staff were all very friendly, and the doctor was great. He was patient and detailed in explaining things to me. This was my first time going here and I will be back for sure.

My children and I have been seeing Dr. Fong & Dr. Huang at Eye Care West OC for several years and every visit has been great. From setting the appointment with the front desk (all three at once!) to sorting out the insurance deets to meeting with the doctors, each visit is pleasant and efficient. I trust our vision to Eye Care West OC and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend them!

Great eye doctor! Dr. Fong is very friendly and knowledgable. Office staff is helpful and nice, helped me pick just the right frames :). Love that I can get an appointment same week, and they’re open Saturdays, which is a huge help. Highly recommend!

The EyeCare West OC team is a wonderful office. In my experience, i have interacted with Rebecca, Angie, Dr. Huang, and Mary.
They are very welcoming and take the time to properly examine and diagnose your eyes. I felt no sales pressure, which i have experienced at other optometry offices. The 5 star reviews are right, go see Dr. Huang and Dr. Fong for your eyecare needs.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! My family and I have been seeing Dr. Anthony Huang at the sister office in Bellflower for more than 8 years and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang is so knowledgeable (Berkeley grad!), so very personable, and you always feel very cared for. He has young children himself, so he is very good with my kids and they really like «Dr. Tony» (my 2-​year old calls him «Dr. Pony»).
I’ve only been to the Foothill Ranch office once and had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fong and his staff, and they are equally as competent and friendly as the staff at Bellflower. I would feel very comfortable having my eyes cared for by either Dr. Huang or Dr. Fong. (I hear they have another doctor so their reputation must be preceding them and they’re getting more customers! Good for them!)
When I visited the Foothill Ranch office, I saw that they had a great selection of frames and contacts and the most recent diagnostic equipment, so you know you’re in good hands. Also, they’re open most days until 6pm and are open half day on Saturdays so it helps out those of us who work. Bottom line: I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone else!
