Hobby Lobby

Great frame prices. I have done several projects with them and they are half the price of Michael’s and less than half the price of Aaron brothers. They do a great job and the customer service is very good as well. I have worked with Roger in the frame shop on several occasions and he does a great job.

I love Hobby Lobby… I go there often for all sorts of my crafting needs from jewelry findings, fabric and sewing notions, Christmas or other seasonal stuff, scrapbooking, kids crafts, paint, and even toys. Last time I was there I picked up a bunch of Ball canning jars that were 50% off. I love their home décor… so on trend and so many themes. Their home décor reminds me of an expanded Pier One Imports but easier on the pocketbook. I have bought lovely mirrors, wall décor, and lamps here at a great price. So much to look at. If you are looking for something for your craft or for your home, check out this store because it is loaded. Staff is always so friendly and helpful too!

They get 2 stars for selection of items and price. Then another NEGATIVE 5 stars for customer service. 1) like the other reviewers who gave low ratings, you’re always waiting forever to check out. 2) I went there today and not one but TWO employees behaved like I was putting them out (um hello, aren’t you employed because of customers who spend at your stores?!) the first employee who looked like she was doing inventory and putting out items nearly bit my head off when I inadvertently picked up an item that she was apparently in the middle of pricing. She proceeds to tell me that I’d have to come back tomorrow if I want to find out not only how much it cost but to buy it. Whatever. The second «helpful» (cue eye-​roll here) employee was at checkout. I brought my own recycle bag to put purchases in and when I reached across to put an item in my bag that SHE ALREADY SCANNED, she tells me, «I didn’t get that one yet» I then pointed to her monitor and said «it’s the first thing you scanned» this was a 7.99 item among eighteen other .24 cent items (loose card stock) it wasn’t that hard to figure out. Apparently for her it was. **Note to management: Customer Service 101 is sorely lacking at your store. Seriously. Start implementing it STAT.

I live in suburbia and am surrounded by Michael’s, Jo’Ann Fabrics and Walmart where you can buy fabric, gift wrap items, art supplies, jewelry making stuff, seasonal decorations, etc., etc. With that being said, Hobby Lobby is the newest crafts type of store to take up residence in the Foothill Towne Center. This, IMO, is the best of the above mentioned places. Not only do they have a ton of seasonal stuff here, but they have wrapping paper, candy, home décor, jewelry making stuff, hobby kits, craft kits, paints, and so on and so on. The nearby Hallmark store does not hold a candle to this place as far as prices go for gift wrap and ribbon and tissue paper. They have greeting cards here, but bear in mind as this is a store ran with Christian values, many of the cards are of a religious nature. For this reason, also, be aware that this store is also closed on Sundays.
I have found some great arts and crafts kits for my nieces who love to create things and some cool science project type of kits for my nephews. They also have all kinds of model kits here such as model airplanes, model cars, Star Wars models, etc. So, there are a few things for men to look at while they are bored and accompanying their wives/gf’s here ;P I have also found some nice home décor items here such as picture frames, baskets and jewelry racks. There are a lot of items for jewelry making such as fasteners, beads, chains, stones, etc Paint brushes, easels, paints, palettes are located in the back of the store, too.
Almost all the time, most of the store’s items are on sale, If not, sign up for Hobby Lobby’s email list and they will send you a 40% off coupon any regularly-​priced item every week for extra savings.

This store is craft heaven. Holy crap. So I’ve gotten into scrapbooking recently (I’m getting old you know) and everyone (mainly my coworkers above the age of 40) kept telling me I needed to check this store out.
When I first arrived I was shocked by the sheer size of the place. Literally had everything for every craft imaginable. It also had a ton of home décor which I was expecting. I was in a rush but I will definitely be back to check that out.
I walked directly to the back of the store hoping the scrapbooking section would be back there and lo and behold it was. Talk about selection. Awesome stickers, cardstock, tools. Loved it.
The best thing about this place is the prices. And they are always having sales, especially on scrapbook items it seems like. Download their app, they have a great one. It also has a 40% coupon you can use each time on one fully priced item, love that! Anyhow, what I’m trying to say is this place blows Michael and Joann outta the water, sorry guys. Wow! I like so many reviewers of Hobby Lobby thought it was something completely different. I thought it was just hobby stuff i.e. Model airplanes, cars etc, or that it was like Michaels or Joann’s. Wow was I wrong, this place is huge and has just about everything you could possibly want and then some. I came in looking for something kind of cowboyish, thinking for sure they wouldn’t have any such thing, again. WRONG! They sure did. I ended up buying all kinds of little cowboy stuff (brother is a cowboy) along with that, they had a huge selection of fisherman themed items that I took advantage of for my step dad. What a neat store! I ended up spending over an hour in here, just finding so much of what I never expected. This store is amazing. I will surely be back when I need something that nobody else seems to have. Fun place, and super friendly folks working there too!

Decided to do some Christmas shopping on Black Friday and stopped in to Hobby Lobby my first time here. As I stepped through the doorway I was so intimidated by how huge the store is from the inside. I didn’t know where to begin to start looking so I took out my list and ask an associate who took me to where I needed to go. The cashier was very friendly which made the mood in the line better as you can imagine on Black Friday how crowded it was. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood and followed the cashiers lead. I wish I could remember her name. Thank you for making my experience on Black Friday and even better one.

Yah, I’m a fan… for a very specific reason. I perceived this warehouse as an eclectic grouping of «traditional accessory stuff» for the home… including a few «1950’s — 1960’s type» model kits that somewhat supported their store’s first name; «Hobby.» It was only yesterday that I discovered this store. I’d never been inside one, thinking it was just another model-​kit hobby type stores. I was actually looking for a bird-​house… to hide one of my outdoor surveillance cameras. Interesting discovery for me.
Thinking that this store might have a «bird house kit»… as I thought it was a «hobby shop» store, I stopped in after visiting the nearby Walmart. Walmart had no bird houses… but holy-​moly… Hobby Lobby sure did! This visit proved interesting, as I saw it as another «Home Goods» + «Tuesday Mornings» + «Michaels»… somewhat all rolled into one.
While my local True Value Hardware had birdhouses starting at $ 30, HL had an entire gondola-​store-​display filled with a huge variety of bird houses and wind chimes… all at 50% off. I found what I needed, paying a net $ 10 for what would have cost me $ 30 at my hardware store. But more important, I discovered a large, and deep, variety of conventional home accessories. I almost bought a «faux» Grandfather table-​clock (battery quartz movement) for $ 12. I might go back?!
Given the opportunity, I’ll probably stop by again, when I have time, to walk the store and check out their entire product mix. With a rather large workshop at home, I’m always looking at items that I can use for «other applications», not just for their obvious utility. A good example is finding a battery operated clock, where the final price is actually less than buying a replacement clock-​movement on its’ own. Interesting store.

I came to purchase the supplies I need to make my black tutu for Halloween. I had a bit of an «emotional journey» during my visit to this store…
Upon arrival, I was SO happy! I had only visited a Hobby Lobby in Vegas previous to this venture, and this store is HUGE in comparison to the Vegas location! The store is very neat and well-​organized… everything is in its place, facing the right direction, no «debris» in the very wide aisles. It has an «older» feel to it but not in a bad way. It just seems like an established business. (I’m not sure how long this location has been here.) There were not very many people present, but it may have seemed that way since the store is so large. There were plenty of cars parked in front of the establishment.
I went to the fabric department since I was told (when I called a couple of days ago) that I could find tulle already cut into the width I need for my tutu. I saw a large spool of tulle, but not the smaller spool I was told is in stock. I looked and looked… and then I looked for an employee. No one. Not in the fabric department. Not in the nearby departments. Not in any random aisles. Then bothered Ani («aahhh-​knee» — that’s me) appeared… I realized this very large and very fun store seemed to have no one to help uncover/​find specific treasures among all the wonders. I went to the cashier area, where I found one cashier and about fifteen people in line. I asked her for help in fabric to which she asked «Is no one there? Someone is supposed to be.» I told her I was back there for a while and didn’t see any employees. She paged the fabric guru by name. I spent eight minutes at the register, as directed, and the employee never came. The cashier then called me over and said «The employee I paged never came. I don’t know where she is.» She looked at me as I did her, as her line of now eight people watched us both. So uhhh — now what, wondered frustrated Ani.
Then in walked the fabric guru from outside. She wasn’t the nicest, at first — she told me she would be with me in a minute before asking me with what I needed help. I told her about the pre-​cut tulle about which I was informed and she said she didn’t think they had any. I was starting to fume, but she seemed more interested in the tulle I was promised rather than her journey to the back of the store — she switched directions and led me back to fabric. After a short search, she found my tulle in TWO widths! I also found a glittery, polka-​dotted organza AND a free pamphlet informing me of the versatile joys of tulle. Happy Ani was reappearing!
I haven’t crafted in a while, and I have never made a tutu. I don’t sew so I don’t know much about fabrics and how they «mesh». I had questions and fabric guru was gone again. I saw two customers with a basket full of material and I had to see if they could help me — the internet was not answering my questions about ribbon width and whether or not the sturdier organza and delicate tulle would mix well. The more seasoned customer was happy to come over and hear about my project before informing me about the itchy-​ness of the materials (though they should blend just fine), pros and cons about different ribbon sizes I could utilize for the «belt», and about the «senior Minnie Mouse» costume she made for her Halloween party! She was a jewel!
Excited Ani went to the front of the store and became ecstatic Ani when she saw the first cashier finally hd some relief — a second checker!
This organization is Christian owned — I recognized a lot of the instrumentals that sounded like jazz as faith-​based songs. That was cool.
Great prices! I bought all I needed (and probably more) for my tutu for about $ 20. And there are discount signs all around. My mom said the app would have provided me a 40% off coupon on one regularly-​priced item.
I very much liked this store — I would just advise management to ensure the human capital is as well-​stocked as the craft goodies!

Typically, I don’t write reviews about these kind of stores, but I just had a great experience that I wanted to write about it. I was shopping for a few items, and I accidently dropped an expensive jar. The manager came right over and cleaned up the mess. When j asked how much the damage was, he said not to worry and just said «just keep shopping». It was so nice and when I walked around there was some good bargains on frames and home decorations. I would definitely shop here again.

Huge craft selection, always organized and clean. Coupon always available online. LOVE this place.
ONE BIG NEGATIVE: womens restroom. Do go to the handicap stall. It has a HUGE GAP and you can see people sitting on the toilet. do visit the handicap stall. unless you want to be seen using the restroom

I think there hours are quite difficult. They seem to always be closed when I try to go. The check out line always takes forever. Usually only one person is checking everyone out. The store is very clean however. They do have a large selection although on a few things they seem quite overpriced.

This store is a massive combo of home décor and craft supplies. Convenient if you want to kill some time, because even when I know what I’m coming for I still end up wandering around. Their prices seem on-​par with Michaels, so if I’m in the area I and need something I would stop.
I do like their home décor section, and have purchased a couple of things that I was really having trouble finding elsewhere (like a big tray for my ottoman that was under $ 50). And lots and lots of knick-​knacks :)
And just like Michael’s, there is ALWAYS a coupon. Just make sure to have it on your cell phone, because I don’t think they as willing to give you the discount without a formal coupon.

Half décor and half crafts, this store is not any different than the one I visited in Winchester, VA this past spring.
The many different framed mirrors gave me ideas on what I could do in my bathrooms. I do like that fact that it had three full rows of yarn in some different brands and varieties than what Joann’s or Michael’s carries.
I also found out they will price match their sales for 14 days after your purchase date if you bring the receipt and items back to the store with you for them to make the adjustment. It’s an inconvenient way to get the sales price compared to Walmart’s price catcher, but atleast they try.

This store is enormous!!!
I was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff here. It’s like a Jo-​Ann on steroids.
I came for a picture frame (they have tons) and continued walking around, up and down the various aisles to see what all they carried. Vases, flowers, fabrics, ceramic wear, framed pictures, signs, holiday décor, models (i.e. — cars and airplanes), candles, and every art supply imaginable. Tons of home décor and completely useless knick knack stuff.
There were plenty of employees around and one that I stopped was happy to answer my questions.
I’d be surprised if you couldn’t find whatever hobby/​craft/​home décor item you were looking for here. Closed on Sundays!

Be prepared to spend atleast an hour here! It’s impossible to get in and out quickly because there are so many things to look at!
I love this place. There is always something on sale. It beats Michaels on pricing and has a much bigger and better selection.
They have great deals during the holidays on décor. Huge fabric and flower selection. The staff is very kind and friendly.
I’ve bought pic frames, candles, dining room table décor, xmas wreaths, and halloween stuff here all on sale. Great candles too.
Don’t go on sundays because they are closed.

Lately, my home décor obsession has been in an upswing, as I’ve been busy redesigning my domicile into a contemporary, Asian-​inspired living space.
Having never been into a Hobby Lobby before (and knowing my love for window shopping at new places), my fiancé suggested that we visit this location to browse for some minor home furnishings.
Much like its neighbors, this store is massive and filled with supplies for arts and crafts, seasonal fake plants and flowers, and sundry decorations. But while it was well-​organized, Hobby Lobby simply lacked the quality of selection that other smaller stores carried, making it feel very «empty.»
Part of why the store lacked appeal is due to the fact that the typical arts and crafts target market is usually middle-​aged women who have an older aesthetic. Nothing against that; it’s just not my thing. And for the duration of my visit there, that’s how I explained to myself the uncommonly large amount of religious paraphernalia that adorned the store’s shelves and walls.
After ambling through the store row-​by-​row, I settled on two glass vases (50% off) and some floral accents. Check-​out was smooth; customer service was on point; the overall shopping experience was fine, if a little lackluster in the inspiration department.
It wasn’t until we got home that, curious about the ubiquitous 50% off discounts, my fiancé googled the company to see if it was going out of business. What he found instead was an explanation for the level of religiosity we witnessed in the product selection. It turns out the owner is a conservative asshat who would rather go to court than to provide contraceptive healthcare to his female employees under the Affordable Care Act.
Aaaaand return done. Fuck that guy, and fuck his bullshit brands. Hobby Lobby may now enjoy its permanent stay on my blacklist right next to Walmart, In-​N-​Out, Chick-​fil-​A, and anything Georgia-​Pacific.

It’s like Michael’s and Joann’s had a baby! BAM! Hobby lobby!
Wow, this place is an arts and crafts person’s dream come true! So many arts and craft items to do and make! If you’re a fan of DIY and Pinterest, this is your store. They have so many cute trinkets, thingy ma bobbers, and whatcha ma call its. I could spend the whole day in here, which I did. This place just opened so it is very organized and they are stocking the shelves with amazing decorations! Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas décor are out and on sale! Love that the decorations are specific too, such as Western theme, leopard print, history theme, movie theme, and of course AMERICA!
The staff is friendly and willing to help. Very knowledgable of where items are because it does get overwhelming trying to find just one item. This is not a place for those who get easily distracted because there is just so much to see… Look! Giant poinsettias! Glad they opened one here, let’s hope it stays for awhile! Down side is that they are closed on Sundays, but hey that is when you can do all you DIY crafts!

This place is awesome! I was mistaken when I thought this was going to be just another Michaels or Joanne’s. Its so much more! If I ever have a free day to myself, which I can’t quite imagine yet, I would come here and peruse down every aisle.
What sets this place apart immediately from other craft stores, if I can even put them in the same category, is their huge selection of home décor. Man cave… check, Paris… check. Western… check. Beach… check. They’ve got so many beautiful things.
I will definitely be here often filling my house with Hobby Lobby goodies.

Shopped today, Labor Day and was sort of surprised there werent any Labor Day Sales at all… Some things that were 50% on Saturday, were no longer 50% today, so I decided against purchasing them.
The checker we had, in Line 2, was incredibly slow. It was the return line, so we couldnt change lines. Incrediblyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slow.
Other than that, its just like any other Hobby Lobby :) Glad there is one closer to my house now though, Laguna Niguel was a bit of a ride.
