History

Established in 1900.

Dr. Compton took over Main Street Dental at 1910 in 2000. The previous owner was a third generation dentist, (Dr. Nixon).

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

A native Oregonian, Dr. Compton grew up in a Clackamas county farming family. He graduated from Canby High School in 1970 and Oregon State University in with a bachelors degree in Zoology in 1974. Dr. Compton received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Oregon Health Sciences, School of Dentistry in 1978. Since then he has practiced general dentistry in group and solo settings.

In 2000 Dr. Compton acquired the standing general practice of Dr. Nixon. A dental practice encompassing three generations of the Nixon family, which had been operating on Main Street since 1888. Dr. Compton has tried to retain the small town values that three

generations of Nixon’s had fashioned.

In his free time Dr. Compton enjoys maintain his rural Gaston home, working on his vintage British sports cars and spending time with his family.
