A staple of Forest Hills for 5 decades, ArtWorld now resides back in Forest Hills at 103 – 07 Metropolitan Avenue.

Meet the Business Owner

Teri B.

Business Owner

Teri Basile has always been a successful business woman. Her career began back in the late 1980’s when she & her husband opened their first retail shop, Cartoon Gallery, specializing in Animation Art. Making the most of their small location, Teri impressed her colleagues at Disney Art Classics & earned herself a coveted seat on Disney’s advisory committee.

Always evolving, Teri morphed her love of working with colorful cartoon characters into working on a slightly different playing field involving color. After spending years selecting framing for her animation gallery, Teri expanded her horizons & purchased ArtWorld to combined her love of animation with custom framing.

As the years passed, the saturated market of the animation industry caused Teri to rethink her vision once again, this time combining her love of color with textures, thus giving birth to the home furnishings division of ArtWorld.

Today, Teri looks toward tomorrow & re-​imagines a new improved ArtWorld.
