I’ve been coming here for 3 years because Diana Jackson is the best– she feels like family!
She always takes her time with going over all my documents and actively works to get me the most money back I can get. Her office hours are also fabulous with Sundays and evenings offered. Everyone here is very friendly and the office is clean and bright. The prices are comparable and I rest easy knowing if there are any issues– Diana and H&R Block will be there to help me take care of it.

Late review but just wanted to say the service here is awesome. Only problem is their is never parking around the area but besides that the agents are all very professional. Highly recommend this hr block location to anyone.

The worst place to get your taxes done. Made a major mistake on my return a few years ago and the government came back at me saying I owed backed taxes. Ended up the error the accountant at H&R block made caused this!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! the tax associate rushed my tax preparation, missing many deductions. she didn’t even asked me 1 question. It took her literary 3 minutes to complete my W2. when I expressed my concerns she was rude and looked angry. I just walked out and went to Liberty Tax. the Tax associate took her time and at the end, my tax returned was 1,200 dollars more than H&R BLOCK told me I would get back. I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. ALL THEY WANT IS TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SEND YOU ON YOUR WAY.

This is my first year filing with my wife so I wanted to act like an adult and file my taxes with a professional as opposed to doing it in my underwear while eating twinkies (RIP TWINKIES!!).
Long story short, I did the return on TurboTax prior to going just so I could have a comparison. TurboTax told me I was owed X dollars.
I went to H&R Block, and they told me I OWED 1.5X dollars.
The lady tried to go through deductions with me but I explained to her my deductions would not come close to covering the gap and even if they did, my refund would be lower.
She then returned my w2’s in a huff and turned away from my wife and I.
I’d steer clear of this place.

I’ve been going here for 3 years now. I’ve been fortunate to have the same accountant work with me, Scott.
Every year, he makes recommendations to me on how to improve my filing to increase my return. Scott and other staff have always been friendly to me each year, which makes the process of coming in and filing surprisingly pleasant.
This year, he made the same recommendation he’s made in the past, I finally listened, and he waived the amendement fee (I assume there actually is one) because I’ve been a customer with their branch for so long. I thought that was incredibly kind of him. I also asked him about coming to the office vs. the H&R software and he even recommended that I try it myself because it’s cheaper but I can always call them for help. His honesty and willingness to help is sincere and quite refreshing.
If your taxes aren’t too complicated and you’re too lazy (like me) or too busy (like me) or too scared to do them yourself, I’d recommend trying them out.

You know you’re in trouble if you know more about the tax filing process than the tax professional you’re meeting with does.
I went in here last weekend to get a quote on my 2010 taxes. My situation is a little complex, since I had a regular full-​time job in NYC for most of the year, and then an independent contracting job in CT for the rest of 2010. The tax professional I met with said I didn’t have to file CT taxes AT ALL. Now, I understand you don’t have to file taxes when you make a really small amount of money (like under $ 600 or something), but I definitely wasn’t in that boat. I was really confused, but she was pretty adamant about not having to file CT taxes. When she read the look of concern on my face, she offered to ask her manager about it, and I said yes, that’d be great, please let me know.
She called me back a couple of days ago and said, yes, I’d have to file CT taxes. No kidding. And I was quoted $ 250 for federal, NY, and CT taxes. It’s just a bit off-​putting when the tax professional doesn’t seem to know something so basic. Definitely won’t be filing my taxes here.

I’ve been filing my yearly income taxes with them since 2003 and only had one bad experience with them. The person who files for me has nearly 20 years of tax experience which it took less than half hour for my paperwork to be completed. They are patient and explains step-​by-​step the process.
Their fees are pricey, depending on one’s situation, approx. $ 103.00 for the filing and preparation.
