I cannot understand why the calling cleaning service
i found my apartment more Messy after the done with a poor service
I feel the owner take people from the street, who have no idea about cleaning.
I was missing few Iteams in the past few months
I think the «clean me Up…»

I’ve had three good experiences with the company so far so i am surprised to see some of these reviews. I’m yet to find a regular cleaner but have been very happy with 2 out of 3 that have been to my home. I have heard from other clients (my mom) about lateness and cancellations but have not any any problems. My home is always clean. (Jerry did an excellent job in my kitchen and bathroom yesterday) I am always home when they are here and they have been cordial, thorough, and happy to meet any small requests I had.

I had used J Services for about a year after first buying a coupon online.
Though I thought that Rennoy had my best interests at heart, I realized a couple months ago I had been stolen from (my roommate as well, was missing $ 500 in cash– I am missing a diamond necklace and three rings of equal value).
I tried reaching out to Rennoy via email and still have not heard back after almost one month has gone by. I am devastated, as the jewelry were gifts to me from my mother. The only things that weren’t touched were small costume jewelry in my jewelry box, which leads me to think this person knew what they were doing and likely does it often.
Though I wanted to like J Services after using them for so long, I will never be able to get my jewelry back or confirm who cleaned my house as I was often at work while my appointment took place.
I recommend you use a cleaner you can TRUST to avoid having any of your items stolen like mine were.

Booked a two hour session online for yesterday evening. No one showed up nor did I receive a phone call or message from the service.
This was my second appointment and second no show (they didnt show for the first appointment and I had to re-​schedule which they showed up to 1 hour late). I have only booked weekday evening sessions. I would not recommend this service.

Don’t let the 1 STAR fool you! They are far worse! ZERO stars!!! I received multiple confirmation emails so i figured it was a well organized company… until the actual day of the service. I waited 30 minutes at my apt for the cleaners but no phone call, text, or email. I tried calling and emailing the office but no response. the office is CLOSED on Saturday! Someone finally contacted me 2 ½ hrs later!!! i received a text stating that the cleaners were 15 minutes away! are you freaking kidding me!!! I wasted the whole day and now they wanted to come to clean at their convenience!!! So ridiculous. I will never use or refer these guys to anyone!

I cannot even begin to say how bad this company is. From the very beginning I had a suspicion when I never got a confirmation email, although I booked online. First red flag.
Second was our cleaner, but I can’t call her a cleaner because she didn’t do much. In fact, the second she came to our apt, she complained that she was tired. Combine laziness with a attitude and I knew that this was a big mistake.
Our place ended up messier than before the cleaner came! How is that so? She took all our utensils (pots+pans+everything) and placed it in the living room. She never bothered to put it back when she was done. I’m not one to be a boss of someone, especially when its only for a few hours, but this woman was clearly not good at her job.
Although the voucher I bought was for 3 hours, the actual cleaning that she did was maybe an hour. She walked around our apt looking busy, but wasn’t doing jack. If they send you the tall tanned broad curly hair cleaner, I would strongly suggest asking for someone else. Or all together, don’t use this scam business.

Claudia from J Services arrived promptly and did an incredibly thorough job cleaning my ever so slightly (ok, ok, more like domestically neglected) studio for a full two hours. Everything is spotless and she was also helpful in recommending products to use/​methods to defunk everything in the future. I’d definitely use J Services Cleaning again.

I really wanted to like J Services Cleaning because appointments can be scheduled online, they accept credit card payments (even for tips) and they seemed to work ²⁴⁄₇ (it is tough finding a cleaning service on Sundays and holidays). Unfortunately, I have had many negative experiences and will no longer be using them.
I first purchased an online deal for two discounted cleaning services and decided to use them while I was on vacation, cleaning the place before my house sitter arrived and then again when she left, before I returned home. I requested that the cleaning appointment include washing my sheets and towels, and that the same person come for both appointments given the extra instructions — I didn’t want there to be any confusion. The gentleman who came for the first appointment was very nice, but told me that he wasn’t available at the time I had scheduled the follow up appointment. We worked out an alternative day and time for him to come. When I returned from my vacation, the sheets and towels had not been cleaned like I had requested, causing me to do laundry late at night before I could go to bed. I also noticed a ring was missing and emailed the owner, who responded with an email and phone call promptly and made a plan to investigate.
After investigating, the owner did not answer my emails for many weeks. When I finally spoke to him via phone after waiting 20 minutes on hold, he was very apologetic and offered me three cleaning services to make up for the delay in response. I could not prove that the ring was taken by a member of his staff and he was extremely nice, so I took him up on his offer. He told me that he would personally come to clean my apartment during these three complimentary sessions. Well, 30 minutes prior to the first free service, he called with some excuse letting me know that he couldn’t make it but would be sending another colleague in his place. She did a fine job, and I wasn’t too upset when she showed up for the second cleaning (again, no sign of the owner, Robert Rennoy).
The third complimentary cleaning was scheduled for Memorial Day Monday. Again, I was on vacation and hoping to have a nice clean apartment with clean sheets and towels when I arrived home after having a house sitter stay at my place during the previous week. I booked this service a month prior via phone, called to confirm the week before and received a confirmation email the day before. Then, two hours before the scheduled appointment, I receive a call stating that Robert, the owner, was scheduled to clean my apartment but he would no longer be able to. Elated, I asked for Robert to call me and he did. When I told him that I was very angry and would no longer be using his services, he did offer to drop what he was doing to come into the city and clean my apartment. Great, just what I want, someone doing a so-​so job since he doesn’t want to be there in the first place. «No, thank you,» I said.
I sincerely hope that Robert Rennoy gets this right, because I think he really does want to succeed and the business model is good. But, using his service right now was not worth the frustration to me.

I have been using J Cleaning Services for 2 years now. These guys are great. They use an online scheduling service that saves me a lot of time from not having to book appointments over the phone. The staff is always super friendly and they do knockout job of making my place look sparkling clean every time. I definitely recommend them.

Initially I booked a 2 hr cleaning that I bought through amazon. There was some miscommunication and the female cleaner I asked for was instead a male who showed up an hour late and left before the 2 hours were up. The manager was apologetic and gave me an hour free to make up for the cleaning. I scheduled a cleaning for this weekend and although the cleaning lady cancelled on me an hour before the appointment, Robert and a coworker came to the rescue. They did a very thorough job, even cleaning the top of my refrigerator and my widow sills. He was very personable and aimed to please. In fact, I booked by next cleaning while he was still here.

I bought a 2 hour cleaning from J Services Cleaning through an amazon deal. The gentleman did an excellent job cleaning the apartment, far beyond beyond my highest expectations. Naomi B.‘s review is pretty spot on. I am looking forward to using this service again — even at full price.

Is there any way to give negative stars? No one ever came for my 3pm appointment on Saturday. I am really frustrated and annoyed. The guy who was supposed to come called me at 2:45 to say he was running a half hour late. I tried calling him at 4:15, 4:30, and 4:45 to see where he was — he never answered and has a really sketchy voicemail greeting. I tried calling the company’s main phone number multiple times and sent an email to the main company email address at 4:15 expressing my frustration. STILL no one has returned my email or phone calls. I had a bunch of people over on Saturday night, and expected the apartment to be cleaned before that. I don’t know what kind of business they are running but there is no way I’ll ever book again or recommend this business. What a waste of time.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS COMPANY:
I purchased the Amazon Local deal. I had a horrible experience with them. Here’s why:
– They were an hour and a half late.
– They do not bring their own cleaning supplies and do not tell you that on their website or over the phone. Luckily, I had some, but if I didn’t, I would have had to go out and buy some or send the person home.
– Some of the cleaning was okay, but the guy didn’t dilute the Pine Sol that he used for the floor. As a result, my floors were extremely sticky and had the sickening smell of Pine Sol for the next two weeks afterward. I had to go back over the floors and mop with just water and vinegar to tone it down. Also, despite the fact that I had lots of other cleaning supplies that I showed the guy, he cleaned most of my apt. with Febreeze. He also overused the Febreeze, and there was the sickening smell of it all over the house for several days. Who does that? Shouldn’t you know how cleaning products work if you work for a cleaning company?
– When the guy was done, he called me about 5 times. When I called him back, he told me that he was done, and that he was just waiting for his tip. His tip? Not only is that inappropriate, but the website (and they don’t call you to tell you that either) never suggests that tips are expected. I just so happened to be in my neighborhood, but I wouldn’t assume that I had to go back and tip the person when they were done. I don’t know anyone who tips their cleaning person.
– I called the company to complain. SInce I give credit where credit is due, the manager did call me back and offered me free cleaning for all that had happened. I’m a person who likes free, so you should know that if I turned it down, the service was just that bad. The service caused me such anxiety that it was far more trouble than it was worth.
I never write reviews. I am writing this one because the service was so bad that I feel that I should warn others about this so that maybe you can avoid the aggravation that I and others have had to go through, and so that you aren’t tempted by a good Groupon (or other such service) deal.
I suspect that the people who rated this place 4 or 5 stars either work for the place themselves, or are friends with the people who work there. Even if they got a different cleaning person than I did, there is no way you had a great experience with them. Your standards would have to be REALLY low to give them a great review. The company as a whole is totally unprofessional.
If there was a way to give them a negative star rating, I would.

So happy I purchased the 2 hour cleaning deal!
I have a small studio so I figured the 2 hours was a good amount of time to get everything done. I booked an appointment online for a Sunday, and to my surprise, the owner of the company himself arrived at my apartment to clean! Apparently they don’t book on Sundays, but I was able to by mistake. So instead of rescheduling he came anyways to do the job!
I had purchased some cleaning supplies, and he brought his own which I wasn’t expecting. I really just wanted the bathroom cleaned top to bottom, kitchen, and to mop the hardwood floors. I left for lunch and came back 2 hours later to my heavenly apartment! He even stayed a bit after 2 hours (an extra half hour) to add in extra details.
He seriously went WAY above and beyond and cleaned things I told him not to worry about. He moved my bed and couch to get the dust bunnies from underneath, washed the windows, and vacuumed my area rug which I told him he could just roll up and put in the corner because I’m trying to get rid of it anyways. My apartment was spotless and smelled great. There was not one crumb or dust bunny to be found anywhere! I am so happy with the outcome :)

If you get Ryan as your cleaner you will come home to a SPOTLESS home. Seriously he is the best of the best. He’s so nice and sweet and pays attention to detail. He cleaned our microwave and toaster without us even asking!
If you get anyone else it’s not even worth it. They’ll do a mediocre job at best. Plus the company isn’t run very well they reschedule a lot. The only reason I’m staying with them is because of Ryan.

MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR AMIE!!!
I bought a Groupon for 3 2-​hour cleaning sessions ($ 99). I really didn’t know what to expect, but to my surprise, they did a great job! My apartment was destroyed after a week of not having time to tidy up after myself, and I honestly felt guilty having someone clean it. AMIE DID THE BEST JOB. She did everything I asked, and even called me before hand to confirm our meeting. She was super nice and she did an incredible job. I’d recommend her to everyone.

Purchased a Living Social deal & very happy with the result– Amie was very nice & did a great job – Will def use this company & request her again.

I have had Jazmin come clean my apartment several times now and I couldn’t be happier with her service.
She is friendly, prompt and did an amazing job. I actually had to find her and say, «Jazmin, your two hours are done you can go home I’ll do the rest!» to which she insisted she stay 15 minutes longer to finish the job.
The customer service has been great, and I am actually so sad my 5-​pack Groupon is up– I may have to buy another! I really recommend this place– especially Jazmin!

Our cleaner was a young man, named Mohommad, who I presume is the same fellow other reviewers mention. After reading the reviews I was fully prepared to have the experience be a disaster. It went fine.
I checked the bathroom after he completed it and found it to be in great shape. Mohommad worked very quickly. Possibly a bit too quickly. Mohommad finished early and asked what else he could do. He offered to sweep the floor, and there was a slightly awkward moment when he seemed surprised that we expected him to mop the floor. (Not sure if this is usually part of their package, but other services were proactive about it and that’s what I base my expectations on.)
Mohommad is a really friendly and helpful guy. While he was working, my girlfriend and I were debating the best way to fix spots on our couch where our cat damaged the upholstery with her claws. Mohommad, who has some expertise in upholstery showed us how to use a lighter to prevent fraying after you trim the thread – couch looks great now! My only complaint is that he was a bit chatty, but it’s hard to tell if I wasn’t worried about keeping him focused on completing the job because of a bias due to the poor reviews from other Unilocalers.
I’d like to take a moment to address the other reviewer’s posts:
We are pretty lax about cleaning and tend to hire a service every couple months to deal with it for us. I considered our apartment to be pretty gross, so I was shocked when Mohommad said it was in much better shape than some of the other places. Right? We haven’t cleaned it in 2 months. At all. So if the other places are worse, holy crap. I wonder if some of the 1 and 2 star ratings are from these people with the super-​gross places. I’m surprised by Shaneka B’s statement, «Nothing I couldn’t do myself.» What exactly were you expecting? Cleaning IS something that just about ANYONE can do. I sure hope you didn’t make an unbelievable mess out of your place with inches of grime and then call in someone to fix it for you. That would be quite a bougie thing to do. Also, the woman who is scared to have a man in her house. Seriously? He works for a legitimate business and they have contact info, he’s probably not going to attack you. It’s not like he’s a rando off the street. Take a self defense course and toughen up.
Final Word:
It’s possible that J Services performed more poorly in the past, given the 3 negative reviews. It’s possible they improved since then — I thought they did fine in our place. I still think there is room for improvement.

I recently purchased a Living Social deal to this place. I made my appointment and waited.
A young man showed up to clean my house, which I believe I should have been told as I am a young woman and live alone, having an unknown man in my house makes me nervous.
The deal was for 2 hours of house cleaning. I live in a studio apartment. The young man took an hour to clean my bathroom. When he was done and I went in to look, there was still hair all over the floor (I have really long hair and it constantly falls out). He then proceeded to the kitchen, where he also spent an hour. I would walk past every so often and all I could see was him moving things around my counters and cleaning them down. I asked if he could mop (although why I should have to ask I do not know). Once he left I inspected everything, really though the kitchen and bathroom. I went to put away my supplies and realized my mop was still dry.
I clean my house myself, and even if I worked extremely slowly and wiped every bathroom tile separately it still doesnt take 2 hours.
He did an ok job in my tiny little spaces but nothing out of the ordinary. It was outrageous that it took an hour to clean my bathroom. I clean once a week myself, so how it could possibly have taken that long is beyond me.
I would not recommend this place.
