No comparison to Garretts. This is gourmet popcorn with unique flavors made fresh everyday!
I highly recommend the chocolate almond flavored crunch and the 3 cheese popcorn. The chocolate almond reminded me of Nutella and the the 3 cheese popcorn had an amazing rich deep cheese flavor. They use real cheese so your won’t be wearing orange for the next few days.
Delores, the owner talked to me about how she made the popcorn and it was clear that she took great pride in her products. It’s down to the detail, some of the flavors are served warm which makes for a great flavor experience.

Garrett Popcorn who??? I would strongly recommend Jimmie’s over the long lines at Garrett! I had the mix. Unfortunately, for my calorie count, I ate the entire bag which is why I didn’t go back for more for my trip back to Detroit, MI. The smell of the fresh popped popcorn is what drew me into the store! Added bonus — the owner was very nice. In my opinion, the signage was somewhat obscure. I would advise to drive slow down Madison when looking for Jimmie’s. This is not a place you would want to miss!!!

I love everything about Jimmie’s popcorn. It’s delicious, reasonably priced, and the owner/​operator is amazingly enthusiastic about popcorn.
She makes the popcorn from more natural ingredients than other similar businesses, and the variety of flavors available on a given day is impressive. Usually 6 – 8 to choose from. I used to visit their previous location and was happy to find out they were moving to Forest Park, closer to where I live. Great business and nice addition to Madison Street!

Just left Jimmies for my initial visit. The owner Delores is just as nice as can be. However, the product is amazing. The shop was immaculate, friendly knowledgable service and great product. Perfect!

Spotted this popcorn shop after taking my kids to Junction Diner. Very sleek and clean interior and the owner is very nice and engaging. During our visit, I learned that they were the same shop that I had been meaning to try when they were located on North Ave. This location is much better and the popcorn is very fresh and delicious. I bought a bag of triple cheese and a bag of R/​F mix. Make sure you get some of this yummy popcorn!
