The older light skin guy who works there is a complete Jack ass. He had no customer services skills and he seemed miserable.

Great service! You can swap out rentals all you have to buy is ammo. Very reasonably priced. Once you pay once you can leave and come back and shoot no charge. Lanes are a bit cramped and the target holders could use an upgrade but all an all great experience! I will be coming by when I’m in town for sure!

Went in with silencers guy at counter told me he needed to see my 200 $ paperwork in a sarcastic manner I asked him why he told me it was the law. So I told him you must not know the law because the law states that the only person I have to show this paperwork to is a ATF officer. So I said ok I want shoot my silencers I’ll just shoot the others weapons so he told me I could not have my class 3 weapons in the building its against the law so I said you don’t care that a Maybe shooting a weapon that’s not mine but you do care if I’m shooting a silencer. So I’m like now that we have been up here having this discussion in front of this line you want me to go put my silencers in the car so someone can break into my car and steal them. So I left and I just randomly called another gun range and asked them and told them what had happened and they already knew what range I was talking about with out me calling the name. I’m just like if you wanna act like you know the law make sure your right. I think when people say silencer they get this look on there face. But if you have a silencer you went thru hell to get it. I’m young and black and to say I have a silencer I felt he treated me kinda strange as if because I have it I must have stolen it !!

Was told I should go to their store on the north side of town??? Not very helpful or considerate.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Facility is old, but quite functional. No waiting on any of my trips there. Is it new and shiny? No. Is there a nice staff in a place with plentiful merchandise and well lit range lanes. Yes.

Stopped into here trying to find a range that’s close to downtown and not Quickshot. It was alright. Range is a bit dim, target system is ghetto (some of the targets sagged badly… I don’t want to practice shooting a 4 foot tall person). Ceiling/​walls are in bad shape from stray shots.
Staff were decent. Not overly friendly but they got us what we needed.
Paid about $ 30 for two shooters and 6 targets (brought our own guns/​ammo). Seems reasonable enough.
I was not overly impressed but will probably go back when I don’t feel like driving up to the northern suburbs to go somewhere I like better.

Okay this is why I give this place a 4 star. They had a variety of the latest handguns, machine guns, riffles, safes, and carry conceal items available. And not to mention they are experienced in the type of weapon that you want to buy. AS a woman I wanted a carry conceal strap that would fit and stay put while running or on a hike and IMPORTANTLY hidden. My helper spent an hour showing me and letting me try on the carry conceal strap on, which included jumping up and down and running around like a fool.
So I was please that they had patience with me, not to mention the ammo prices were super cheap, I’ve been to ranges and the ammo was so expensive. The only thing I didn’t like was the range was a little beat up, but hey as long as you can shoot a target right. Oh and they do have safety classes on how to store, check and practice safe firearm practices. You can get the class schedules from the site.

I like this location much better than the one off 85 North. The guys seem much friendlier.
We came here yesterday and it was pretty packed, but we were assured that turnover was very quick. Sure enough, we were waiting no longer than 5 minutes before we were assigned a lane.
You know what the best part about this range is? They have cold air blowing in the lanes. Now, it might be a little chilly, but I would rather be cold than hot, and without that A/​C blowing, it would have gotten really hot with all the people in there, firing their guns. For once, I wasn’t sweating bullets (no pun intended).
Minus one star only for the sketch location with the pot-​hole ridden driveway. The facility itself is a bit old and dingy, but it’s part of the charm :)

Ive been going to Georgia range and gun for about 8yrs now and it is consistently a good experience. The staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. I’ve purchased 4 guns from here and shot tons of times. I have to laugh at the clown that accuses them of being racist as one of the managers and most friendly there is a black guy…

Had a safe and efficient range experience at Range and Gun on 2-​3-​2013.
The staff was helpful, range rules were clear. We watched a short video with the range rules, and shortly went in to the range and fired rifles and pistols.
There was a short wait for one of the two rifle lanes to open, (but in the retail area there are comfortable chairs) and Kelly kept us informed and let us know when it was our turn.

The required instructional video and the staff emphasized using BOTH FOAM AND OVER-​THE-​EAR muffs– this made the experience much better because shooting inside is much louder than shooting outside. repeat– don’t expect an indoor range to be quiet– and rifle rounds can be quite loud. We were prepared and had a good time dialing in the scopes on rifles and practicing with pistols.
The store has a huge inventory of shooting accessories: from ammo to scopes, ear muffs, etc. We bought several hard to find items.
Excellent safe firing range.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I bought a certificate to shoot here, and they turned us away saying that we needed to either have a gun license or take an expensive safety course. This isn’t a thing, they’re just scammy, and possibly a little racist. Avoid.

I dont have anything to compare it to, its one of those… I‘ve been and its off my bucket list. Place was not what I expected, shell cases were flying everywhere. I felt closed in and in the beginning I was jumpy when I heard the gun shots, in my defense it was my first time, thank goodness for ear protection gear. Ill go again if my bf drags there. I was too embarrassed to tell him I was scared as hell and just felt like getting the heck on! Shout out to ppl who are in the military and cops!

My friends and I went there on a Half Off Depot Deal. This was hands down one of the best gun range experiences I have had! We were a large party of 8 girls and we came close to closing time. The staff were very patient and helpful. The gentlemen took the time to show us experienced and inexperienced gals how to shoot like pros! I really appreciate their customer service and would totally recommend it to others to learn how to shoot.

I wasnt impressed.
I purchased a certificate from a deal of the day site for. It was good for 2 people. So a friend of mine and I went hoping to use the certificate. The person who helped us basically told us we neede to take a $ 100 4/​hr class in order to shoot at this location.
We explained that we were familiar with shooting and and also with firearm safety. He still said we needed to take the class or come back with someone who had taken their class.
We went to the car and called the other location they have in atlanta. They were super nice and advised us that we could shoot at their location with no proble. (huh…why are the attitudes so different) Anywho… I decided to give the certificate to my husband who has gone there numerous times and never had a problem
We will continue to shoot at Stoddard

I liked it. Dimly Lit, but staff was nice, service was good, and guns were ok. I’ll go again but will also try other options.

As someone who is always willing to break new and different ground, let’s review an indoor pistol range and gun store for a change.
If you are in law enforcement, the armed forces (full-​time, reserve or National Guard), or just a regular citizen who owns a firearm – you need to keep up your skills with regular practice.
Georgia Range and Guns provides a friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you. Classes are also taught here.
They are in a convenient location in the Southside of Atlanta right near the Atlanta airport.
