I just walked there from my apartment for a much needed gallon of milk tonight, and found out it seems to have gone out of business. It’s too bad the hours were terrible and the prices were high, because this part of Forest Park is severely lacking in a real convenience store.

River Grove, IL
Prices are high and hours are slim but the selection is right if you live close. Th couple that run it are nice and quite friendly too. They wanted a liquor license from the get-​go to no avail. Too bad they closed up after three years. Good luck finding a loaf of bread around here.

I like this place. It has the basics plus a bit more, even vegan options which is awesome! Only thing is their prices a tad high. But I love that it is family owned and close to home.

this is the only convenience store on the downtown strip of forest park, hence «convenient» to drop in and pick up a few things. they carry most common items such as sodas, aspirin, sunblock, and snack foods. selection is small though, so if you’re looking for a particular brand or flavour, you may not find it here. also note that they close at 9pm on most days.
