Rock and Roll Tacos

Unfriendly staff. When I called to order for pick up I asked for suggestions and was told to look on Facebook. Not one suggestion. Ordered a shrimp, chicken, and steak taco. Shrimp taco was tasty but the rest was mediocre. After eating 3 tacos was left hungry and disappointed. What a waist of calories on my cheat day!

I wanted to like this place so bad. We were the only ones at 5:30 on a Saturday. First thing, there was no changing table for my young toddler in the ladies’ room.
We ordered the chips and white queso appetizer for $ 3.50. It took several minutes to come out. I was hoping for freshly fried chips but they were room temp, and I think they came from a bag. The queso was a pretty small bowl and barely warm.
Tacos were meh. Carnitas were bland and my husband’s brisket tacos were really wet.
The place was starting to fill up a bit as we left.

We LOVE this place… eat their every Taco Tuesday and it never disappoints! The staff recognizes us every time and is always as nice as can be. I would come for the chips alone but can’t stay away from the Texas Oil Taco! See y’all again Tuesday!

The food was delivered to our table of 8 «as it was ready». Half of us got part and then 15 minutes later the other half of our table got part of their food. It was at least 20 minutes later the rice, beans and nachos arrived! Drinks are brought to your table in the can. I asked for a cup of ice… twice. Finally got it later. no desserts on the menu! They seemed frazzled and didn’t like being asked for anything!!! Not sure I’ll go back.

We came on a Sunday and were excited to see brunch with free mimosas and margaritas advertised. Instead they have hurricanes that taste like cheap sugary fruit juice. We tried to get just pancakes on the kids meal and they would not work with us, we ended up spending $ 9 for French Toast because 2 little silver dollar pancakes for $ 6 wouldn’t have fed my son and he won’t eat eggs. The food was very slow and over priced. We won’t be back :(

We finally took the time to try this place this week, and we were far from disappointed! The Texas Oil Taco is AMAZING! The chips and queso are fantastic! I also tried the LA taco and the tostada– all yummy! This may be my new favorite place to dine in Forney. Great concept, great atmosphere, delicious food!

I will start off saying that the food is GREAT, lots of flavor.
The only reason I gave them 3 stars was because they are hard to get ahold of as far as planning for the truck to come out for a catering event.
We had an open house and had reached out to Rock and Roll tacos probably almost a month before the event and I will say getting ahold of the person in charge of cater was HARD. We almost switched vendors 3 weeks before the event with invites already printed because we didn’t hear back from the Mary Ann. (manager). Once they responded to many emails and phone calls they confirmed and that was easier.
The day of the event they arrived a little late which made things stressful. But once they got here they were quick to set up and VERY personable.
Again the food is great. The spicy mac n cheese is very tasty. We had the pork, chicken and beef tacos with the rice, beans and mac n cheese for the sides. They were all wonderful.

Absolutely horrible customer service, I waited for over 30 minutes for a to go order. My order was given to someone else, not a single apology, or explanation as to why every person that came in after me had already gotten their food and finished their meal before I even got mine.

Fairly priced and you get what you pay for! Have always had a good experience there.

This place has a «rock n roll» theme so they do have interesting memorabilia, and overall the décor is nice. The menu is a little confusing. I had picked out my breakfast taco then was informed it was past time for breakfast tacos… but I didn’t see anything about hours on the menu. Maybe I overlooked that part. The tacos were good, ingredients seemed fresh, no complaints there. They are very small «street tacos» but sure not a cheap street taco price! We went during the week around lunch time and were the only customers there and yet it took way too long to get our food. They need to run some specials and speed up the service.

Great Concept. Much needed in Forney. Execution severely flawed. I tried my best to give them 3 stars but they either summarily discard our feedback or they just don’t care.
1.) the «brisket» taco «the Hillbilly» while maybe technically the brisket cut, is prepared slow cooker style like pot-​roast. Don’t expect smoke flavor, rustic charm or seasoning. It’s just pot-​roast and eggs. It’s also very wet, meaning they don’t drain the meat well so there’s no eating this «on the run».
2.) they’re just flat out slow. I have gone in 5 different times and never gotten my 2 – 4 taco Order quicker than 12 – 15 mins. And with nobody in the dining area.
*no sense of urgency
*dragging their feet
*and then after they have bagged and prepared your order while you sit and wait, they slough slowly toward the dining area with your bag as if there’s really no hurry. (Meanwhile you’re pondering how it could possibly take more than 2 – 3 minutes to prepare a couple scrambled eggs, and toss the eggs and meat into a previously made tortilla.
3.) don’t expect any resemblance of customer service. It’s not warm, it’s not welcoming, there’s no cheerful «hey welcome to rock n roll taco», what can we get started for you today ???
Really And truly hope they would read these reviews and fix something. Anything. To make it better.

I’ve visited twice now: once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both visits were pleasant. For dinner tonight I ordered three different tacos, all of which were delicious. I also ordered the chips and queso, with both red and green salsas. The queso was quite good, and although I’m not a fan of the thicker chips, they were served hot and fresh.
Overall, the food is quite good and the gourmet style tacos make for a nice change of pace. If you order the chips and queso along with three tacos and a soda it is going to cost about 16 bucks. That is about twice as much as you spend at Oscar Delta or Chiloso. The value may be a little off, but if u want some gourmet tacos, this place is worth it. Unless you are really hungry (like I was tonight), pass on the chips and get 3 – 4 tacos.

The tacos are very good. I recommend the LA Taco, Mac n Cheese Taco, and Texas Oil Taco. Great flavor combinations and perfect amount of heat flavor. The homemade chips are really yummy! I really like the rock n roll atmosphere. The décor is a mix of old records on the walls, rock n roll memorabilia, and good music.
The breakfast tacos are exciting and come in a variety of choices from traditional to combinations one wouldn’t think paring.

I am so happy to report back with positive comments! This morning we stopped in to try again and had a whole new experience. The food was great and the service was quick! Brisket taco YUM, Pup taco YUM, and just a regular bacon and egg YUM! The only one I’m not a huge fan of is the chorizo and I think it’s the green onions, but that’s just me.
We will be coming back for breakfast. Next time we are going to try the dinner menu. It looks like they have figured out how to stay and that makes me happy!

I don’t like this place very much. I came here one time and they got my order totally screwed up. Another time I can and it just wasn’t very good. I’m not sure how you screw up breakfast tacos, but they seem to do it.

I was excited to hear this place was opening I’m a huge fan of food trucks and love the concept! I was hoping it his place would be similar to Torchy’s taco (one of my favs, it’s inexpensive and delish) but starting from the jump our experience didn’t «roll» very smooth!
We ordered chips n queso with chicken and beef tacos… the drinks were in cans (no biggie) but they weren’t very cold and there isn’t cups or ice, when we finally found a clean table our chips came out right away but they were cold greasy and thick, the queso was good but there wasn’t any salt for the chips. Whenn we got our tacos we were short one, we let them know but they brought the wrong kind out, it was covered in a red sauce which I don’t dig so I basically ate one taco. The chicken taco had good flavor but the tortilla was soggy and it fell apart in one bite and the same with beef taco! Hope they work out the kinks!

We came here on a whim in a group of 8! Trying to keep local business going.
Rockin nachos — not bad!
Chipotle shrimp — spicy but good!
Phattie burrito — nice would order again.
Shrimp bacon taco — good.
Gringo taco — would get again.
LA tacos — okay nothing to write home about.
Grammy taco — dry.
Mac n cheese taco — basic not a lot of flavor, reminded me of dry hamburger helper on corn tortilla.
The chips are legit! Thick and crunchy. Red sauce better than green.
It’s currently BYOB so that’s a plus.
Price is right for what you get.
We would give this another shot if they stay open.

I’ll start by saying something nice … The chips, white queso and salsa were out of this world good.
Tacos were bland with no flavor at all. The chicken and waffle was just ok. Nothing special. there was no unsweet tea. She looked at me like I was crazy for ordering my tea unsweet.
The service was terrible and the staff was incredibly rude. Not friendly at all. Do yourself a favor and go to Oscar Delta! It’s one thousand times better.
We won’t be back!

Delicious mexican food in Forney across from Forney High School. Very nice and clean restaurant. Great customer service and the prices are very reasonable.
