Highly recommended! We broke down on our way to Mississippi with a Uhaul trailer and the people at Scott’s auto helped us in every way possible from storing our trailer, taking us to a hotel for the night and test driving our vehicle before we got back on the road. Awesome people and excellent service! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, Nathan was particularly helpful and we appreciate his above and beyond help. If we lived in Forney, Scott’s automotive and transmission would be our go to for any car related issues.

I think that this automotive shop has to be one of the best shops around town. These folks picked me up at work and drove me to my house where my truck was stalled out and then dropped me off at work after all that … And to make my repairs to my truck with great knowledge and explanation of every step it’s going to take to get it right. And if these guys didn’t do enough for me already they picked me up from work to there shop for my truck and got to met some awesome people aswell… And Thank you so much Scott Automotive for the awesome service and peace of mind… I’m for sure will be coming back from now on.

If I could give a lower review, I would, but one star is the lowest. Do not waste your time with these clowns unless you want to deal with a poorly managed facility who will lie to you and insult you.
Summary: I visited this location last weekend for an oil change, a state inspection, and an alignment. PRIOR to work being conducted, I stated that I wanted to take advantage of the everyday promotion for $ 5 off an oil change when getting a state inspection. That was understood at the time by the manager who took my order. However, about 30 minutes later, one of the workers came in to let me know that my vehicle was complete and I was ready to go. He informed me that the alignment and state inspection could not be conducted due to my two front tires being a bit worn due to the current poor alignment conditions. I fully understood this and was willing to go purchase new tires right that second. He told me that they went ahead and conducted the oil change and it would be full price. I told him that I was a little upset because I felt that if there was an issue with my order, they should have contacted me prior to work being conducted knowing that I was requesting an everyday promotion. It was as easy as me running up the street and getting new tires, coming back, and then they could do full order. The rude worker decided, in front of two other customers waiting in the waiting room, to insult me and say, «If you want to cry over $ 5, I will just give it to you.» I said, «Yes, I will take it.» He gave me the money and said «Get out, we don’t need people like you.» So, if I am understanding him correctly, he is speaking for management and Mr. Scott saying that all customers that come in for promotions are not good customers and they don’t need them. I literally did nothing more than request a promotion, and this was the outcome. I will keep that in mind, and I won’t be returning.
I spoke with the manager, who was nice and refunded my money without me asking. However, he assured me that Mr. Scott, the owner, would be calling me this past Monday to discuss the matter, but of course it must not be important enough to them to take care of their customers or business because I have not heard a single thing from them.
While the quality of work «might» be good, don’t expect good service from them, especially if you are using a coupon from the mailers.

I had a minor electrical problem that was just beyond my ability to repair, so I needed a mechanic that was not only close to my home but one that was fair and honest. I brought my car in at opening time and was greeted warmly. My info was taken as was a description of the problem. My car was taken promptly to the bay and the work began. Throughout my stay there, Nate regularly updated me on the progress and what the problem might be as well as informing me that they would give everything a look while they worked on the main issue.
Thankfully my repair was minor and I was only charged for the actual time it took to diagnose and repair the problem. As far as other issues that would need attention in the future, Nate was very clear about them and pointed them out so that I was aware and could make an informed decision. There were no doomsday scenarios or scare tactics used to get me to have them do more work. He was very professional and wasn’t pushy at all – an A+ in my book! If the other matters were more serious, I would expect a little more urgency.
Suffice it to say that when any future automotive needs arise, I’ll be going back! They were friendly, professional, and timely and I highly recommend them!

Took my vehicle to Scott’s when my secondary air injector got water in the fan housing and shorted out. Took four days for them to preform the diagnostic on my car. Once I did get the call I was presented with a list of needed repairs and associated parts and labor costs.
The first thing I noticed was the prices for the parts, as I happen to work in the auto parts industry, I was surprised to see everything marked up at lest 100% from retail cost. The Air Injector was 300 $ (120 to 150 at any autoparts store), recommended new spark plugs that would set me back 12 bucks a pop (7 bucks for the fancy iridium at auto parts store), two coil-on-plug’s at a cost of 125 $ each (50 to 65 normally).
Then there was the labor charges, 200 for the air injector (somewhat reasonable) 25 dollars PER spark plug. Let me say that one again. Twenty-​Five US Dollars in labor PER spark plug. Another 50 in labor for each of the two coils.
And then there was the 180 dollar Carburetor Cleaning that was recommended. I later discovered this involved a 4 dollar can of Carb Cleaner Spray and the exterior of the throttle body being sprayed and some in the intake while the engine is running.
Needless to say I declined to have them preform these repairs, I paid for the diagnostic and left. I took my car home, ordered the parts from an un-​named online warehouse who’s prices were even lower than retail and preformed the needed work in only a few hours at a cost of about 220 bucks, which included all four coil-​on-​plugs.
Once completing the work I discovered that the diagnostic wasn’t accurate, as they failed to check the Secondary Air Injector Check Valve. The faulty valve was the source of the water entering the system, which caused my issues in the first place. So the one thing I did pay them for they didn’t even get right in the end.

Love the staff here at Scotts. Manuel, Nathan and the rest of the gang are always friendly. I never feel intimidated by them or feel like they are trying to up charge me for unneeded repairs. They are my goto mechanic for life now. They have always been fair in pricing and have let me know upfront what’s going on and no surprises at the register. From oil changes to major repairs Scotts is the place to go in Forney.

Great service and very professional, friendly staff. It’s hard to imagine how my service could have gone any better. We discussed future work that they recommended for my car but there was no pressure to have it done right away. I’m impressed and I’ll be back — highly recommended.

I was driving from LA to Florida and as I was leaving Texas, my car just stopped in the freeway! AAA came and towed my car to Scott’s Automotive and Transmission. They looked over my car and discovered that it was my timing belt. They started working on my car right away and it only took about 4 hours to complete! I was able to continue on my trip to my next destination and still made it there in time for dinner. While I was waiting they were very friendly and even gave me a ride to get something to eat. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable with couches and a TV. Not bad if you have to spend 4 hours there. I would definitely take your car here if you want fast, friendly service. And I even got a 10% discount because I have AAA.
