Relied on other recommendations-happy we stopped! Great food, great prices, and great friendly family ran the place!

This bright, welcoming Mexican place was recommended by the staff of a nearby hotel, and it proved to be a good find. Warm chips and a mild salsa arrived promptly. I asked the server for a recommendation, and he suggested the molcajete, a dish I’d never tried. A bubbling lava pot of shrimp, steak, and chicken arrived quickly, with warm tortillas, rice and beans on the side. It was delicious and flavorful. The sauce was spicy enough to be interesting, and mild enough not to sear tastebuds. Service was fast and pleasant, and a steady stream of guests greeted by name attested to its status as a local favorite. The décor of carved furniture, brightly painted with fruit, flowers, landscapes, and other cherry imagery felt a bit like a Matisse interior. Altogether, it was a very decent place, reasonably priced.

Service was good. Food was average at best. No flavor, especially chicken. We have lived most of our lives in Colorado and eaten Mexican in all of SW. This place can not hold a candle to the real thing. Margaritas were very weak.

Conveniently located in our motel, we ordered take out to bring back to the room. I ordered a cheese enchilada dinner and large queso and Diet Coke. When we got our bag back to the room, there was ONE enchilada with rice and beans and no queso and it cost almost $ 18. We went back hoping we got charged for it and they forgot it for that price. Thank goodness the place was at our hotel or I’d have been irritated. They had our bag with chips and queso waiting when we returned. The food was good. I wish there would have been more than one enchilada… But that is really my only complaint. I would order from here again.

Super cute restaurant located in the Days Inn Hotel. The tables and chairs were very unique and beautiful. The colors and design made the restaurant cheerful and energetic. The service was fast and our waitress was attentive, kind and friendly. The food was just okay it wasn’t the best but it also wasn’t the worst Mexican food I have tasted. On the plus side the service was fast, the food was hot, and the portion sizes were hearty. We had plenty of chips and salsa, and refills on our tea and soda. It would have been really nice to have a margarita with dinner but the hotel bar did not open until 4:00pm. FYI don’t sit in the last booth to the right of the register counter. Something is leaking from the ceiling and splashed on my husband’s arm. Good thing we were done with dinner.

We stopped in town for the night on our way back to Chicago and decided to try this place for dinner. We were all very impressed with their food and service. The waiter was very attentive and they had no issues with special requests on our meals. I got the Hawaiian fajitas and they were delicious! We had a large party, and the meal was very reasonably priced. I would definitely stop here again when travelling through!

This place was absolutely horrible. We were seated by a man that kept shaking his head, telling us that he was tired. umm ok. Was he hoping we would leave? We ordered chips and salsa and a couple of margaritas to start. My husband and I agreed that the salsa was the worst we’ve ever had, tasted like tomato sauce from a can. The margarita’s tasted like a mix with zero alcohol. For entrees, my tamale was covered in the wrong sauce, I sent it back and once it was returned, I started eating it, and–(big suprise)-they scraped it and slopped the correct sauce on it. Everything we asked for was a struggle for the staff and looked and tasted like dog food. Save yourself the cash and go to Taco Bell instead, we sure wish we did! If you’re traveling though town. keep driving! If you live here… I’m sorry.

We came for the breakfast after staying at the attached Days Inn, which gave us a $ 10 discount. Though its a Mexican place, it has a pretty standard breakfast menu, and we ordered pancakes, french toast, and a breakfast burrito, all of which were pretty good! My fiancé’s french toast was in fried-stick-form, which was reminiscent of elementary school lunch(though still pretty good!). Friendly server to boot!

The menu was impressive, the service was friendly, and the food was good. We are fairly picky about Mexican food, and we liked it here.

Sigh… After spending FOURHOURS… count em.4 hours stuck on the road, we finally at your hotel and had to get something to eat. My husband I both had a cowboy steak… not impressed. It says it was supposed to be a t-bone, but I’m not sure what it was. At least the cheesecake Jimmy chimichanga was good

Very good spot. After a full day of travel, I did not have any energy to eat out but glad I did. Maybe my fav’ Mex’ place I have come across! Had the pollo fiesta and ate it all. Big portion!

We stopped here on the way from DC to Austin. I wasn’t expecting much, but this little mexican food joint was a great relief from all the fast food along the way. The service was good, the food was great and it was dirt cheap. Everything you’d expect from a mexican food place in Texas, but not Arkansas. These guys proved that you can do good mexican food in Arkansas, though, and I’m glad they helped me understand what is possible.

Traveling through Arkansas and spent the night in Forrest City. I was looking for a quick dinner and a drink and ended up here. What a pleasant surprise. Nice and attentive staff and the carnitas(braised pork tips) were great. I stopped in about 6:30 on a Sunday night and by the time I left most of the tables were full. Seems to be a local hot spot. Bottom line… good food and service, reasonably priced !

If you find yourself in this small town, this is a good option. it’s clean with very nice servers and decent mexican food… and DRINKEES! beer or margaritas or whatever you want. the motels in this town are way overpriced.

A busy place this Friday night, this Holiday Inn located restaurant served up a decent top shelf margarita to go with my dinner of Don Jose Especial — chorizo, chicken, steak and shrimp fajita plate. Good enough to stop here again if I am in the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t organize strip around it.
