My car had broken down (alternator failed) and they were able to fit me in and get my car fixed the same day which I was greatly appreciative of so I didn’t need to go rent a car for work. They also provided a shuttle for car pick up which made things easier. I’d recommend this place for fast service, reliability and good prices.

If you’re anything like me, you’re reading this because you want to know two things…(1) are these guys trustworthy and (2) Do they know what they are doing?
The answer is definitely YES and YES! We were passing through FC for a few days and started noticing a humming sound on our way into town that I thought might be wheel bearings. I was crunched for time and needed to leave on Saturday to return to Texas. I took my ’04 Honda Pilot to the dealership Friday morning for an oil change and to see if they could diagnose and repair the humming sound. At best, they would try to squeeze me into the Saturday schedule but there was no way we were going to leave town before the following Monday or Tuesday.
So I called A&B from the honda shop and talked to Michelle. She assured me that they could look at it immediately and probably get me on the road by sat. They also had a loaner car I could use for $ 9 a day. I quickly made my way there and was very pleased with their shop and service before they ever did anything.
Mark, the owner for 32 years, started diagnosing the humming after the oil change was done and called me around noon saying that it did seem like a wheel bearing issue but it was difficult to tell which one. Together we decided to replace the front right and then retest. Unfortunately, the noise did not go away. By this time it was late afternoon but Mark said he would work on it into the evening if I wanted to replace the front left (charging only for parts).
Short version of the rest of the story… replaced front left, still noise. Replaced back right and problem was fixed! Also checked rear diff, put in new fluid, replaced trans fluid. And when all was done, Mark was very gracious with his time (basically working all day on sat) and labor costs and seemed primarily concerned with fixing the problem and getting us on the road. We were totally «over a barrel» and he could have taken advantage of that, but instead, he did the right thing, made some money and created a very satisfied customer who wants to send other people his way. You reap what you sow!

I live in Colorado Springs but my son lives in Greeley. He is trying to buy his first car and we are looking at inexpensive, reliable models. We thought we found a «too good to be true» deal in Fort Collins so I drove up to see the car. Everything looked great to us and we were sold but my son thought having a mechanic look it over was wise thing to do. We called A & B Imports and they told us to bring the car in. They took their time going over every aspect of the car, inside and out. The mechanic was explaining all of the problems with the car and the seller interupted him to explain an issue and he politely informed her that we were paying him for an honest evaluation of the car and that is what he was going to give us. We ultimately decided against the car because it appeared that it had been in a pretty bad accident that the seller was trying to cover up. At any rate, I appreciate the professionalism, the complete check and the time he took to explain everything on the list. Not many places like this these days!

I came here for a second opinion after my recent visit to another shop it was suggested I make repairs totaling more than $ 1,700. These guys worked with me, addressed all the issues that were apparently wrong with the car and recommended I do nothing. I couldn’t believe that nothing was wrong with it — so they put it back on the lift and showed me how all the «broken» parts weren’t broken at all. They earned my trust and I won’t be going back to the other shop.

My daughter attends school in Fort Collins and I live in CA. I have a mechanic that I trust but he is in CA. So imagine my dilemma when her check engine light came on! I went on Unilocal and found that A&B Import Auto had all good reviews so I took a chance and called. Mike answered and I explained the problem, he told me to have her come in the next morning. When she went in they checked out the car and found out it was just a cracked gas cap. I’m so relieved and happy that they were honest and affordable. I would recommend A&B Import Auto!!!

I rely on A and B to keep my VW running. They have never let me down. Mark and his team have done transmission flushes, brakes, heater core, and many other repairs on my Passat. I have been impressed with their ability to communicate well with customers, provide loaner cars and rides, and perform quality repairs. Extra bonus-​I have received coupons for La Luz burritos from A and B. Right on!

I took my Porsche Boxster here to have an issue with ignition noise investigated. The team here did an outstanding job of diagnosing the issue (on very limited information) and then fixing quickly and at a fair price. These guys are friendly, trustworthy and have great customer service. I highly recommend them.

Took my Saab here after another shop failed to fix my fuel system and resorted to duct taping my fuel lines together. The people that run this shop are very friendly. They initially couldn’t repeat the problem I had complained of but took the time to investigate and ultimately found the numerous problems that the other shop created. Saab’s are always expensive to fix but I felt like the pricing was fair for all the work they did. When I picked up my car they had kept all of the parts that they replaced and explained/​showed me everything they did… everything! They also do a once over and look at everything else on the car and just make note of what may need to be addressed in the future but don’t try to pressure you into doing any of it. Next time I’m in Fort Collins I will definitely go there for any work I need done.
