History
Established in 2010.
Ace Gillett’s Lounge celebrates a bygone era of exquisite service, timeless style, classic cocktails, and expert cuisine!
When the owners of The Armstrong Hotel, Steve and Missy Levinger, decided to establish a hotel lounge, there was no doubt they would name it after Ace Gillett, a prominent fixture in Fort Collins’ history. An entrepreneur, businessman, and a bit of a bootlegger, Ace Gillett had a taste for merrymaking, and provided our town with a much-needed space for booze and revelry throughout the 1920’s.
It is difficult to imagine that Ace ever anticipated his hotel basement evolving from an opera singer’s practice room to a lively, swingin’ jazz lounge. However, it is safe to say that he would be proud of the lounge that carries his name today. We are honored to continue his tradition of providing exquisite service, classic cocktails, and good times to all.

Business Owner
Currently owned and operated by Steve and Missy Levinger, Ace Gillett’s Lounge was born of a desire to capture a true Fort Collins experience — good food, great drinks, and some exceptional live music. The Levingers are currently updating the lounge to include a private dining space, and visit with guests often in the bar.
