History

Established in 2009.

Not very many people are blessed enough to know without a fraction of a doubt what they want to do with their lives. I have distinct memories from my childhood being asked «Caitie, what do you want to be when you grow up?» and except for those few times that I answered «Baseball playing ballerina,» I answered «Photographer.» It wasn’t until I was in college that I decided to pursue a career in photojournalism and portrait photography.

I received my Bachelors of Arts from Ohio University in 2013. In my time at OU I expanded my knowledge of the history and technique behind photography. This helped me not only define my artistic style but also allowed me to better understand how to achieve the results I wanted.

In my time since college I have been focusing on my freelance photography business C. BrennanPhotography. I work closely with clients to provide them with photos of events, loved ones, or promotional imagery.

I have always wanted to be a photographer. I got my first camera when I was 7 & always bugged my parents to take me to the local photo shop to develop my negatives. In high school I created my own courses to allow me to study beyond the basic photography classes that were offered, as well as helped my photography teacher during my school breaks. I wanted to know everything there was to know about photography and am grateful that I had a great mentor in my teacher. My senior year I was head photo editor for my school news paper which allowed me to have the skills to work for our local newspaper throughout college. I also worked closely with a local photographer on his shoots as a back up photographer to try to pick up different editing styles and to learn lighting/​etc. I graduated with my Bachelors of Fine Arts with a specialization in Photography from Ohio University in the Spring of 2013 and continued on to open my own business.
