A bit late in my update, but we were busy loving our new neighborhood! Everything was super-​smooth and I can still most highly recommend Karen if you need a realtor in the Fort Collins area. We love our house and it’s in the perfect location. At the time we bought everything good was super-​competitive. Karen’s expertise was perfect.

This review has been a long time coming. We purchased our house 7 months ago and yet, in my head, I thank Karen nearly every single day for her help in getting us our home. My husband and I began our house search in the Spring of 2014, to move from small town Johnstown to Fort Collins. We thought we were «familiar» with the area, but quickly realized, we were only familiar with the main streets, and not the actual housing developments. Enter Karen! She spent endless weekends and evenings with us exploring the quadrants of Fort Collins to really narrow down the ones we were willing to consider and more importantly, the ones we weren’t. After living in a such a small town for 4 years, we had a few things that were really important to us (to be near walking trails, a grocery store, a bike distance from shops and restaurants and a good school district for our future kids) and she never let us steer clear of our priorities. Even during the times we tried to convince ourselves otherwise, just because we liked the house. What we learned very quickly was how competitive the market was, which was entirely different than when we bought our first house. Over the course of three months, we looked at 30+ houses, lost two offers and somehow in the end (and at the perfect time), found the house that was meant for us. We won, even with 6 offers on the table! There were A LOT of frustrating days through that process and days when we questioned if we were making the right decision. Karen was realistic and honest with us, yet stayed positive when we were discouraged. The good news is, with each offer we wrote, the house got better and the offer more competitive. We learned so much during the process and wouldn’t have been nearly as confident if it weren’t for the guidance of our amazing realtor. We truly couldn’t be happier with where we ended up. If you’re looking for a realtor who is familiar with Fort Collins (and even surrounding areas), don’t hesitate scheduling a Starbucks date with Karen. She is the best of the best — she works hard (even while she’s on vacation), encourages you to look at all types of houses, is VERY responsive, so positive (even in such a competitive market), aggressive when she needs to be, and ALWAYS has her clients best interest in mind. We will always think so highly of her.
PS. She was also the listing agent on the house we sold. The house went on the market on a Friday and within 36 hours we had 3 offers on the table and actually sold our house for more than the asking price! Her photographer does an incredible job.

I worked with Karen in May to purchase a home in Fort Collins, and she did a great job for us. She worked late whenever needed and helped us through a more trying purchase.
