Mail & Copy Fort Collins

Very convenient, very helpful staff that provide a lot of services. I have probably been there 10 times in the last 6 months and have never been disappointed. Thanks for all the help!

I’ve had my mailbox at Mail & Copy since 2010.
When I go in, the staff is always friendly and courteous — whether it’s Brad, Carlie, or one of their newer employees. They always greet me by name when I come in.
Whether I’m faxing something (god, who does that anymore!?) or needing to mail off an oddly-​shaped widget, Mail & Copy has always had my back. They get small business owners.
Do they get everything right? Hell, I don’t get everything right. But I’ve never had an issue big enough to complain about with Mail & Copy — and certainly much more to sing their praises about, which is why I’m leaving them a 5-​star review.
I’m not one to quibble over a few dollars here or there, but comparatively, their rates for mailboxes are pretty competitive. I’ve also never had the issue Alden mentioned — in fact, Brad often mentions various ways to *reduce* the cost of what I’m trying to send along. When I bring in pre-​stamped packages — I’ve only been asked once to add postage to it (and — if you’ve ever worked with a warehouse shipping department, the sensitivity of the scale is everything).
Nope, Mail & Copy is legit. I’m pretty damn picky about who I’ll do business with, and these folks are walking on water as far as I’m concerned. Keep up the good work!

Christmas time is right around the corner and I send out snail mail Christmas cards to lots of my friends. Most of those that I actually send letters to do not use computers that much. It is also nice to send physical letters to friends just so it is more personable. During eventful years where Steve’s or my status quo has changed I send out news letters to bring everyone up to speed. This year was very eventful from trying to move, to Gout attacks, DUI’s, relocation and graduations. This news letter went to two pages this year! I wanted to focus my move to Tacoma and wanted to get the Christmas cards out early. One more thing done.
I have lots of friends and many of them are divorced or painfully single so sending the usual of one card for everyone this year was inappropriate when I saw my standard Christmas card said ‘to you and yours’. I dug out my back up cards so I was more PC. By the time I was done I had all shapes and sizes of envelopes. Those who got a news letter had a fatter envelope than the ones I mailed to family. I went to the post office and mailed them. It was a bit involved because the lady had to pull a few through the ‘cheat sheet’ to see if a single stamp was all that was required. Most of them just needed a single.
I had one Christmas card left that I needed to mail. I was waiting to get an address to mail it. Once I got it I went to Mail & Copy to try and mail it. It had my two page news letter that were deemed at the post office only one stamp worthy. The girl weighed it and said that the width was too big and would have to mail it as a small package. She looked at a lady who I have seen there before. She is either the owner, supervisor or manager. The girl wanted to make sure she was doing the processing correctly. The manager confirmed that she was. The girl got the rate for my ‘small package’ and said to mail it was two dollars and some odd cents. I told her that all the others I mailed yesterday that were this size were just one stamp. The manager then said «It is the width that is the issue. Feel free and try and mail it at the post office.»
I went to the USPS outlet at Sprouts market and said I wanted to mail my letter. It was not single stamp worthy but sixty five cents. Now THAT was reasonable to mail a Christmas card and an eventful newsletter. It was more than I thought it would be but I could live with sixty five cents.
I have been into Mail &Copy off and on over the years to mail packages and such. I was never a regular here, just stopped in when it was convenient for me. After my incident today I do not have the level of confidence to be their customer anymore. The girl mentioned that was processing my letter said that there is a surcharge as well. Understandable. I have had a mail box at UPS store for years and know all about surcharges and having to pay extra for stamps but this is just ridiculous. For all I know the handful of times I have been here before they may have been overcharging me on my packages and could have gotten a better rate at other independently owned mail places… including surcharges!
I honestly don’t know if it was incompetence at work here (It seems to run rampant in the city of Fort Collins at times) or dishonesty. Since the manager was involved and backed up the girl I am willing to go with dishonesty. In my short future as a Fort Collins residence I will avoid this place like the plague and in the future if I am a resident elsewhere!
