History

Established in 2012.

Prior to the formation of PHOCO, our founder Patrick Edmiston had a successful solo photography business for many years. PHOCO was created in order to increase capacity and work on larger projects. Originally formed as a collection of photographers, PHOCO quickly evolved to offer photography, video, and graphic design services.

After grad school, Patrick decided to follow his passion for art and photography in 2009. Spurred on by many influential friends and family his photography business quickly took off and in 2011 he made the leap to making it a full time Career.

Patrick started Photography Collaborative, PHOCO, in early 2012, just prior to teaming with the Bradley family and immediately growing the capacity.

In June of 2013, Patrick co-​founded the Downtown Artery to support the local arts movement and provide space for music, video, photography, painting, and other creative endeavors.

In January of 2014, PHOCO split from the Downtown Artery and won Best Photographers in Colorado in July of 2015.

Other endeavors that Patrick is involved with include: Lit Art Live, Rock for the Cause, Intelligents, Galvanize, and other local Fort Collins movements.
