I am a proud mom, a baby photographer and the founder of Poudre Baby Photography in Fort Collins specializing in modern vintage and journalistic photos for babies and moms who deserve beautiful pictures. I am originally from Tokyo, Japan and moved to United States in 2007 and spent most of years in Hawaii and LA.

I delivered my second baby in Los Angeles and I met a photographer who inspired me for on-​site/​in-​hospital newborn photography. I started learning more about baby photography when I moved to Colorado and decided to join Mom 365, the world’s largest in-​patient newborn photography company, as a part-​time photographer/​sales rep for their hospitals. I love the job so much that I had to take it to the next level, starting my own baby & kids photography in my neighborhood. I met so many moms who regret that they didn’t take any professional photos during baby’s first year. I always tell everyone that babies grow so fast in their first year and you don’t want to miss the moments.

I am here not only to help capture the moments but to deliver art that tell stories of your life. I am very thankful for the opportunities to document such an important part of baby’s life and create something that will be a legacy.

History

Established in 2013.

Mom+ Creator — Emi Wayner is an on-​site/​in-​­hospital Fort Collins photographer specializing newborn and baby pictures. Poudre Baby Photography was born with her passion to create something new and making other people happy. As a stay-​at-​home mom, she was faced with the difficult choice of going back to the corporate world or starting something that she is good at. Armed with talent, determination and little bit of advise from her husband, she decided to pursue her passion and begin a home-​based photography business.

Friends and acquaintances knew Wayner was a gifted photographer and word-​of-​month quicly spread that her photos were different and special. Using natural light, modern vintage look that look soft and classic, Wayner’s photos of babies and children were unique and beautiful.

Aside from her own new venture, she spends some time working for one of the world’s largest in-​patient newborn infant photography company and visits hospitals in Northern Colorado.
