History

Established in 2011.

Red State/​Blue State began with my son, Tyler, when he was 6 years old. I was teaching him about American history and the Constitution when he said, «Hey Mom, why don’t we have a game called Red State Blue State?». We were playing Monopoly quite a bit in those days. I thought that it was a phenomenal idea but had to think of an objective for the game. At that time, I had a friend ask me about the Electoral College. That’s when I got a bright idea– have the players compete for electoral votes! Over the years, my son and I have tweaked the game, the questions, and anything else you can think of to come up with this final version of Red State/​Blue State. We love the game. We poured our hearts and souls into this game and hope that you will enjoy it too! — Sherri Pollard
