Passing through Fort Collins and have a hot shave on my bucket list for a long time. Went in today and finally got it. Worth the wait! The barber knew his stuff and I almost slept(but I wanted to see). Brilliant! I would go back in a moment!

Let me start out by saying that this is a legitimate barber shop. You can get a shave, beard trim, and proper haircut. You even get a straight razor on the neck. They know how to cut hair and take pride in doing a good job. They also carry excellent products for the groomed gentleman such as moustache wax, pomade, cream, etc. This is a great establishment run by local residents. Take the time to make an appointment online or by calling in. This is my go to place for a haircut in Fort Collins.

I recently moved from Brooklyn to Fort Collins and needed to find a new barber here. I was getting the best haircuts of my life in NY so I was hoping to find something decent out here. I have been here twice and had my hair cut by Ariel both times. She is phenomenal and I absolutely recommend this barber shop. She is a master of the ‘low-fade’. Everyone that works there seemed really nice.

First time here and I’m always a little nervous about going to a new barber naturally, but David was great! He talk to me a bit about my hair and the cut he gave me was exactly what I wanted and what I asked him to do and he did just that. I’ve found my new barber!

I went into this shop the day before my sisters wedding to get a beard clean up, because I was unable to get into my barber before coming into town. I called the morning of the appointment and was able to get in within an hour and a half.(This should have been my first red flag.) I got to the shop and even though I was a little early the barber I was seeing was just about ready for me. I told the barber EXACTLY what I wanted, a clean up not much off the length and just clean up the cheeks a little. The barber was nice and seemed confident in his ability. He asked me if I would like him to clean up my neck with a straight razor(isn’t that what you get when you get a beard trim!?) obviously I said yes, I let him know that he should not shave against the grain on my neck as I would get irritated which he ignored and I should have stopped him but I didn’t because it was at the point of no return, nicks, cuts and all. I was shocked to see more than half the length of my beard was gone when the service was finished as well. A beard that I generally keep at a 6 month growth level is now at two months. Today was my sisters wedding, and I have the worst razor burn and ingrown hairs I have ever had. I am a big fan barbering and I am severely disappointed in the service i received from this shop. If you’re looking for a good shave, avoid this shop like the plague. If you’ve never gotten a shave before, go to Denver and find an Art of Shaving.

I have my own barber and with good reason. He is cheap, he is the best I’ve ever had, he knows what I like, and he ended up being a friend after many visits and conversations. We are in town for a wedding and had to get a cut and neck cleanup. Before I left a tip I spent around $ 20 and these folks have given my barber a run(with scissors) for his money.

Clean shaved. Precise cut. Shaved 10 years off my appearance increased self confidence and smell good. What does one want?

David gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. It’s hard to find someone who can do a tight fade. Great shop too, nice atmosphere, very cool.

I’ve really enjoyed getting my hair cut here for the last year and a half. The people who cut my hair are fun to talk to and always make me feel comfortable, both in my chair and with my hair. I love that I never feel like they’re in a rush to get me out too. If I could, I’d spend all day getting my hair cut. Hell ya. I have short, thin hair that just doesn’t lend itself to much, but I pretty much let the stylists/barbers do what they want with it and it always looks so suave when they’re done. Add in the neckline shave with hot shaving cream and a massage at the end and you’re good to go. If you search hard enough(or just in your mailbox sometimes), you can find a good coupon to get a really cheap cut. Don’t forget to call ahead of time if you want a cut in the evening or during the weekend.

Awesome. The groom took all of us groomsmen here for a straight razor shave before his wedding and it was great. Highly recommend!

Just moved to Ft Collins 6 weeks ago and was badly overdo for a haircut… Read the Unilocal reviews and thought I’d try out Scissors and Sinners. I am very particular about my haircuts and once I find someone I like, will go out of my way to go back. Bottom line, Lacy was awesome… very personable, listened to what I wanted and I’ll be coming back. The only thing I found peculiar was facing away from the mirror the majority of the time(as others have noted) — I did notice that all three patrons were faced away so maybe it’s just a thing here… Didn’t matter to me in the end — the cut was great…

Amazing! Small shop, great people, and great service. I got the straight razor head shave from the owner Melissa. Take the time to make an appointment a day or 2 ahead of time. I will definitely be going back.

Severely disappointed. I scheduled my boyfriend a haircut & hot shave as a gift after seeing the good reviews. However, when he went he was only given a haircut & due to their error in scheduling the appointment there was then not time for the hot shave. When I called to discuss this, I was told that it was not their fault and I must not have told them I wanted a hot shave scheduled as well. They were rude over the phone and did not take responsibility for their mistake. While my boyfriend liked his haircut, due to their attitude I would never recommend anyone to go there.

I admit, I usually cut my own hair(racine and a #2 attachment have worked for years), but for a family funeral up in the Fort I decided to class it up a bit. I was very surprised that this place is so busy, they usually average a day’s wait, so book your appointment ahead of time — they don’t usually have the capacity for walk ins. They only have two gals doing hair at one time, so that’s the limiting factor. The place is doing it’s best to be contemporary hipster and it works for the most part, due primarily to the indie bands that they play on the stereo and the semi-punk/leather rebel design on the interior. The haircut was quick and well done($ 20), and they do a hot straight razor shave for your lower neck hair, which was a nice surprise. They also do a two minute massage with a vibrating pad, which was also a great surprise. Friendly gals and a clean and small shop, they should do well for years.

All these great reviews brought me in, but the haircut I received will keep me from coming back. I had a 4:30 appointment(they only make them on the half-hour), and got seated 5 – 10 min late. However, I did enjoy the wait. Well decorated shop with interesting magazines to pass the time. Great music, too. When i finally got seated, the stylist asked me what I wanted. I was pretty specific about it, but I didn’t really get what I asked for. The blending between clippers and scissors(sides and top) wasn’t great either. She also had me turned away from the mirror, which didn’t allow for any real-time feedback. She also didn’t ask for any feedback(i.e: hows this length?). When she was finished she surprised me with a short vibrating back massage, which was strange and sorta gimmicky, but felt good. As much as I liked the music, conversation, decoration, etc… at the end of the day I’m there to get a haircut, and paying $ 25 with tip should have gotten me a better haircut. Note: I did not get Melissa, the owner, but the other young lady who’s been working there for about 2 years.

Scissors and sinners is the best barbershop ever. Melissa, the owner and head barber, is the only person who has cut my hair in over five years. Her skill and personality assure that you will leave the barber chair looking and feeling your best. The look of Scissors and Sinners is a mix of classic style and contemporary sophistication. The place is full of vintage décor, from antique straight razors to classic pinup art; even some of the magazines on the coffee table were printed in the 50s and 60s. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. This Fort Collins Barbershop is about style and great grooming. You can get a haircut, and a straight razor face shave for much less than you would expect. Each haircut includes a shampoo, straight razor neck clean up and a neck massage. If you’ve never had a straight razor shave, I highly recommend it. Every face shave includes hot towels, warm lather, straight razor shave, moisturizer and classic tonic.
