History

Established in 1927.

In the age of large, nationally owned funeral service corporations, it can be difficult to find a funeral firm that sees the importance of maintaining a steady focus on family and community. M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home has always striven to be an integral part of the communities that it serves since 1927. This is when Maurice Bristol Kilmer founded the first funeral home in Argyle. Today, in addition to Argyle, there are two other locations; Fort Edward and South Glens Falls. The funeral homes continues to thrive under «Mo’s» son, George, grandson, Todd and their dedicated staff of Claire Konopka, Timothy Murphy and Stephanie Gilman as well as many support staff.
