BC Surf and Sport

This store has an awesome selection of casual clothes for men and women that are surfer style. There is also a wide selection of surfboards, skateboards, sunglasses, & flip flops. The store is large and nicely laid out. The store is super clean.
The staff is very helpful at explaining styles and finding you your size. There is plenty of parking in the attached parking lot.

I ordered rack pads from BC via their Amazon site and have to say that even though there was a mix up on the order, the staff was incredibly professional in getting a replacement out right away and send me a return label. The guy who helped me, Chris, was very expedient in the process and got me the results I was looking for straightaway. I highly recommend dealing with BC when it comes to online ordering. Nice work!

I am going on a trip and wanted to get a comfortable pair of sandals. I stopped by Outdoor World since I was in the area, I was able to pick up a pair of Sperry Top Siders there, but no sandals. The selection was average and the customer service was lacking. I took to gamble and drive 30 min out of the way to BC Surf and Sport. I won!
The selection was plentiful and one of the employees (guy with many tatoos) was ever so helpful. He kept bring all the top of the line sandals to me that he liked and providing his opinoin on all of them. And I felt like my business was appreciated there. It was a stark contrast to what i experieced 30 min ago in the shoe section at Outdoor Word.
Anyway 5 stars!

The staff here is awesome! I thought I may have lost my wallet in their store. When I called the staff went on the hunt without hesitation! I returned shortly after and they allowed me to watch the security cameras and pet the office puppies. Their customer service is phenomenal! Thanks guys!

Just bought a skateboard from here. Great selection and great service. Needed a board that fits my needs. Not new to skateboarding but i am no way that good at it. They recommended me a couple boards that fit my needs. Happy with my choice. Practice makes perfect.

Best place around! Bruce’s kids and the rest of the family are a great crew that are always nice and helpful. If u have any questions in the boarding realm, they can answer them. If u need someone with lots of knowledge on surfboards, talk to Dutch. He’s the man. Keep up the good work guys!

Let me start off by saying what stands BC Surf Shop above all others is their customer service! Every employee there is helpful, friendly, and will make your shopping experience here fun and easy!
They have a wide selection of clothes both women and men along with shoes, swim suits, sun glasses, backpacks/​beach bags, accessories, and more! We come here for the clothing selection that is always changing. Each week it seems as if they get brand new inventory in and keep their store stocked well. So if you find something you like– buy it!
The only negative about shopping here is trying to find our size with women’s tanks and men’s shorts. They always seem to have every size except his for shorts! But as mentioned earlier; you can go back the next week and they will most likely have what you are looking for!
It is a very clean and tidy store– they have their own parking lot and it’s free! Also, they have paddle boards for rent that they will either deliver to you or load on your car!

Finally took the plunge and bought a Sector 9 longboard after a few visits to this store and others. My friend also purchased one. Christian was extremely helpful and patient. He steered us away from boards that probably would have us on the pavement more than on the board and on to boards that were perfect fits for what we really wanted to be doing. :) Love the new board so far! Also, don’t waste your time online. The boards here are priced really well in comparison to other stores and even priced comparable to what you see online.

Hands down, one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had! My boyfriend and I were in the market for some paddle boards. We stopped by BC and were immediately asked if we needed help. We were first approached by someone not in the paddle/​surf department but he quickly got someone who could point is in the right direction! Connor wasted no time in giving us the low down on all types of boards and paddles and what would be our best option. He also told us about a great deal they offer to rent them long term, which for some people might be a good option. So we paid their rent for the next few months and scooped up two boards (joking aside he gave us an awesome deal when we bought two, including all the accessories). What really meant the most to me was when I was not 100% happy with the color combo of the board, without any question, I brought it back and swapped it for the one I loved! These guys are great, if your in the market for paddle or surfboard make sure to check them out!

I have been to several other skate/​surf shops and nothing compared to my experience here. I visited the store looking for my 10 yr old’s first longboard skateboard. I was assisted by «Dutch» who gave us 100% of his attention, helping to select a longboard and tech my son how to use it. I price was LOWER than anything online and when paired with the personal attention you receive I wouldn’t shop anywhere else. They have a great selection of skateboards, surfboards, skimboards, bathing suits, clothing, flip flops and even a great selection of woman’s beach wear. Check it out!

If you’ve ever tried to balance a marble atop a popsicle stick in a pool of turbulent water, you have a good idea of what my first crack at surfing was like. Yes, I learned that balance is a thing of beauty when you have it (and hilarious when you don’t) and that catching a wave is a LOT harder than it looks. I also learned that surfing is a lot of paddling up to where the waves break, lots of waiting for the perfect swell and then blasting your shoulders to get ahead of the perfect wave and ride it for a few seconds of glory and exhilaration. Standing up is the easy part. These are things I didn’t learn about surfing from watching Point Break. Damn you, Patrick Swayze for making it look so easy!
But at least I had the right gear! Yes, I looked the part in my bodacious Board Shorts, compression undergarment, sex wax (giggity!), sandals, and wetsuit. Paging Mr. Poseur! On a suggestion from a very good friend I visited BC Surf & Sport and was taken aback by the sheer size of the place, its immense selection of surfing, beach, board and water gear, and the incredible service and knowledge of its staff. Service makes everything better and these guys and gals working at BC know their swells from their tubes and can advise on anything you need with a smile and patience of a saint. BC is a hidden gem and right in our backyard, which means I was ready with everything I needed for my California surf trip before I even set foot on the plane.
So I may not have won any accolades for my surfing skills, but I provided a tremendous amount of entertainment for the seasoned surfers at Dana Beach in OC. I may have fallen off the waves more often than ridden them, but at least I looked the part doing it, thanks to BCS&S. Bodhi would have been proud of me and if you decide to surf, hit up BC first, and as Johnny Utah said so wisely, «Vaya con Dios, Brah».

Hang ten. Actually, hang a couple of fifties because you’ll need them to shop here. On second thought, the prices that aren’t bad. They are pretty resonable for what they offer.
