This place is a must try in Fort Lauderdale. The atmosphere is so cool and the people were so nice! I had the chicken pad thai which at first was on the spicy end, but once my mouth got adjusted I couldn’t get enough of those delicious flavors. The only thing I didn’t like about this place is that I haven’t tried it sooner. Did I mention the lychee tea? Ooh wee! Thank you-I’m definitely begging for more!

We have been to Beg for More at least 6 times now and it remains consistently great. The service is wonderful, everyone is very friendly and helpful, the food is super, the curry wonderful, and if you eat pork of chicken it is never dry. The dishes are packed with fresh veg from eggplant to mushrooms. Definitely a go to for a meal in or take-out.

This certainly is an exceptional find in my area. I had Tom Yum Ghai and Red curry special with chicken. The food is fresh well prepared and very flavorful. Not greasy at all. The only thing I would like to point out is, I felt the main course portion was very small. I wasn’t able to serve more than 1 portion of rice. Being it take away it was a bit disappointing as I had a lot more sauce then solids but nothing to finish it with. But overall an amazing restaurant with friendly staff and a nice interior as well. I will return, and ask for a bit more rice. :)

I’ve spent weeks in Thailand. This is the best Thai food for miles around. I eat here probably 5 times a week. It’s authentic enough, and what’s better is that they have a sushi chef on board to offer light and clean options.

I absolutely fell in LOVE with this place. The décor is out of this world cute, the waitress was so sweet and the service was very fast. And of course, the food was SOGOOD. We got the pot stickers, wahoo tataki, lab tuna and a dragon roll. It was all so yummy and well presented.

Lunch Review: After brown bagging it all week I treated myself to a sushi lunch today. I usually get the lunch specials at Sushi joints but I rarely find them good or interesting enough to merit a review. Today was the exception! First of all, Beg For More’s décor is different than many other Sushi places I have been to. It is sleek and modern, with cute, clever sayings written all about. It is light, bright, and airy… generally a place that is nice to hang out in(even for a party on one!) My server could not have been sweeter! She answered all of my questions with a smile and all of my items arrived promptly. I was a little wary about coming here for lunch as I did not see the lunch specials online. However, the lunch specials are fantastic! They are more creative than lunch specials I have seen in other Sushi/Thai restaurants. There is a Thai combo lunch special for $ 9 where you can order a dish, rice, and an appetizer. I ordered from the Japanese lunch menu. On this menu, you can order a «combo set» which consists of an item form column«1»(various rolls) and an item from column«2»: shrimp tempura, chicken or steak teriyaki, tuna tetaki, spicy tuna salad, sunomono, pad Thai. All of this also comes with sushi or sashimi for $ 12! I ordered my standard Spicy Tuna Roll and the Spicy Tuna Salad. The Spicy Tuna Roll was perfect. The tuna was chopped as I like it, but not too mushy, with the perfect level of spice. The Spicy Tuna Salad was beautiful and tasted great too! The tuna was very fresh and had a nice spicy/soy flavor. The salad was mostly spinach with some avocado. There were three pieces of sushi which were very fresh. I stuck to the fish this time but I saw other diners get the Pad Thai which looked amazing! Maybe next time! I was so happy and content with my meal that I actually splurged on a Thai Iced Tea to go! Creamy and delicious! Can’t wait to return!

I was looking for a sushi spot to meet up with an old friend that was somewhere in the middle of us, and settled on Beg For More. PROTIP —(and I put this as an actual Unilocal tip as well). If you’re driving East on Oakland, you’ll end up going over the bridge if your method of finding the restaurant is to drive past and then double back. Best bet, as soon as you see the CVS, enter there… you’ll thank me later lol. I’ll cut to the chase and let you know that we both left very impressed. The servers were great, the menu was great, the food was delicious and the ambiance was nice. Definitely a good sushi date spot that isn’t your usual dingy sushi in a strip mall that you so commonly find in South Florida. Of course, ambiance typically means slightly higher prices, and they were, but nothing outrageous and I was pleased. We met up at 7pm and didn’t leave til 8:30pm. This dinner could have been much quicker, but we kept sending the servers away because we were busy chatting and not looking over the menu. For starters we tried the Crab Rangoon and the Spicy Octopus/Conch. I didn’t actually taste the Rangoon, but it looked good, and appeared to have a slightly different stuffing than normal. The Octopus/Conch was great. They do have a Unilocal Check In offer here for a free edamame, which I «saved for later» but did in fact order an edamame to split. A few different seasoning options, and we went with the garlic sauce. AMAZING. Get this for sure. We were addicted. For entrees my friend had the Spicy Tuna Roll which was beautifully presented and I had the Sashimi Roll(which is riceless) and it tasted very fresh. We were pretty full, mostly because we spaced the meal out, so we skipped dessert. Again, we loved this place! Great for a casual dinner, great for a date. Highly recommend!

I parked 5 ft from the door. Very convenient parking. The atmosphere is hospitable and cozy. Music was soothing and relaxing. Used Unilocal and got a free coupon for Adenbe(salted peas). Very tasty. I ordered the Dragon sushi with the eel sauce. With ice tea. Very delicious. I ordered 2 more Dragon sushi rolls. They are about 10 inches long. The tab was $ 50.70 The restrooms are very clean and smell fabulous with burning incense.

Visited Beg For More on a slow Saturday afternoon. The hostess was pleasant as was the server. We had the drunken noodle, seafood green curry and edamame. The food was appetizing.

Came during a weekday around 2:30, sat at the sushibar. Gift was my waitress and Orlando was my sushi chef. Both were awesome, checked in with Unilocal and got a free edamame. Great lunch specials. Had a tuna roll with sashimi and chicken pad Thai. Fish was fresh, pad Thai was delish and service impeccable. Will be back soon!

This is for lunch, it was a dark and stormy early afternoon… 5+ stars — the green tea, lush and dark. So good, you can’t see the cup’s bottom. Not bitter at all. Easily a standalone if you like a rich, flavorful green tea. 5 stars — beef massaman curry. Consistent broth, I got mild, not spicy. Thick and sweet, beef was tender, veggies, firm. I fived it for the value as a lunch special. 5 if you like fried dough Thai donuts. Served with condensed milk peanut blend. Eat them before they get cold, though. Burpees in the parking lot. 5 service. I’ve been in too many places I’ve walked in, service was just not right and I KNEW I had just showered and styled my hair, rocking some magic matte lippy. I was the only customer that day and I am sure I looked work beaten frumpy, my hair bun failing, who knows if my all-day matte even made half day when I plopped into a booth. Lol. They ALL were on point and got friendlier as the meal went along,(I think the owner) helping me figure out whether I lived in delivery distance… a few blocks too far… doh! Bringing Hubby back. Date night. Mmm.

I ordered take out from here on New Year’s Eve — and let me say first their delightfully friendly delivery employee, Justin, earns the restaurant 5 stars, he is very engaging and knows the restaurant well. Why they don’t merit 3 stars is quite simply the food and its costs. The crab Rangoon was yummy, but four tiny tidbits an appetizer do not make — at least not for me and my appetite — I would have been more comfortable with at least a half dozen. Their Beg For More fried chicken is aptly named, it did indeed leave me begging for more, but for that price I could have got a tasty bag at the Colonel or a nice box at Popeye’s — this was a breaded chicken breast flavored in soy — not bad tasting mind you, but not really all that much for $ 18.00. It was accompanied by a soggy lump of sushi like rice that also was not bad tasting but I didn’t see the connection — if I was to cut up further the already slivered chicken breast to serve atop the rice, I’d imagine that it should come with more condiments — which I also found lacking. The stir fried rice was excellent and on point — the kind of rice from the Chinese restaurants of yore where everything but the kitchen sink is mixed in and it just really fills the appetite — this could be a main course for 2 people and I actually had it over several meals during the weekend. On the merits of the fried rice and some of the other menu items I saw that looked yummy, I intend to order again, and I look forward to changing my review too.

I’m trying to type up this review with burning eyeballs and reaking of whatever was being fried up… the restaurant was consumed by grease smoke. My eyes were irritated the whole time we were there. It was really hard to understand where it was coming from. I didn’t see a hibachi grill or anything. We’ve seen a Groupon for this place for a while now, and with the decent reviews finally decided to check it out. There are 2 entrances and no hostess or anybody to greet you when you walk in. So you are left to stand at the doorway awkwardly until acknowledge by a server. After a few moments of standing by the door, we walked deeper into the restaurant and were finally greeted after almost reaching the other entrance. Even then, it took a few minutes for a sever to come over and give us menus or take drink orders. The people that walked in after us received menus and got drink orders taken before we did. But rewinding back to the Groupon deal for a sec, we ended up buying the deal **$ 21 for $ 40 worth of sushi and Thai. If you take a look at my pic of the deal page, it had nothing specifying that it was for 4 or more ppl. So we bought it not reading the screens that followed. An honest mistake on our part since all of the rules are usually disclosed on the main page with the options. So we asked the restaurant to see if there was anything they can do because the deal didn’t specify rules. They wouldn’t. Didn’t even offer anything. We told them that it was very misleading and should change it. Now we have to go through the hassle of contacting Groupon to get this rectified. Ended up losing my appetite and we ordered light. A miso soup, sashimi platter, and a duck salad. Pretty basic items to order at a Japanese restaurant. The sashimi platter wasn’t bad. But the duck salad was a different story. First off, the description for the salad stated ‘Duck Salad– duck, onion, thai chili lime dressing’. Didn’t state crispy or fried. I don’t mind a cripsy skin on duck but when we got the plate, I knew right away that the duck was going to be dry. Slices of what seemed to be deep fried duck were placed on a bed of spring mix, then had a small amount of «chili lime dressing». The salad was so dry and the dressing lacked any flavor. I was missing the kick off heat from the chili and a hint of citrus from the lime. The only thing I could taste was onion. Needless to say, we WILLNOTBEBACK or begging for more. Nice looking restaurant but the service was horrible and the food was not good.

I came home from an out of town work trip to a surprise dinner date invitation from Sam. he told me we could go anywhere I wanted. I was really in the mood for sushi or Thai, so Beg for More seemed like the perfect place. When we got there we were immediately seated as the restaurant wasn’t too packed on a Sunday night. I glanced over their very clever menu(they have a section called«Grain of Thrones») and immediately knew what I wanted. I ordered a Thai iced tea and chicken Pad Thai. Sam ordered a Thai iced tea and Beef Pad See Ew. Sam and I also ordered their Tastes Like my Ex-Girlfriend roll to share. The food and drinks came out super fast! The Thai ice tea was awesome! It was a little on the sweet side, but I really enjoyed it. My chicken Pad Thai was one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. Sam loved his meal and drink as well. We both obsessed over the sushi roll. It was a perfect combination of fish, jalapenos, asparagus and hamachi flakes. Super delicious, and not too heavy. The service at Beg for More was great. our waiter was really nice and very attentive. I also really like the modern décor. Sam especially liked the indie music playing in the background. I am really struggling to give Beg for More 5 stars versus 4. I loved every aspect of my meal, but nothing really blew me away. I think I will have to come back a few more times, and if everything else that I have is equally as good, then I will absolutely change my review to a 5.
