This restaurant closed about 3 years ago, when construction began on the library wind hardening.

Tried this place after reading The New Times«Best Of» addition and I’m glad I did… The arrival experience isn’t great as this is a Downtown location that will have your typical Downtown characters. The place was easy enough to find and then we figured out the school cafeteria style way of getting our food, between that and just being in a library(which admittedly I haven’t done in years, damn wiki) there certainly was a cozy feeling of nostalgia at Charcuterie Too(love the name). The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The food was also GREAT. This place will serve you the leftover’s from the amazing meal you have cooked the night before, without having to cook said meal!

Hands down, the best restaurant located in any main branch of a county public library. Granted, I never have seen a restaurant in a library so my sample size for this genre now stands at one. Note this rating is based on the fact that I was eating at a public library so scale it accordingly. The eggplant parm was pleasantly good. It came with a side of pasta and two pieces of decent bread. Had a very good, large chocolate chip macaroon. Overall menu was a little more high brow than you would think for a cafeteria kind of place.

The home made oatmeal cookies and coconut/chocolate macaroons are worth the trip when they are made that morning. Charcuterie Too is on the second floor of the Main Library. It is a cafeteria style restaurant where you grab a tray and are greeted by several very friendly ladies who serve a variety of different foods. They have an expansive menu serving everything from sandwiches, fruit boats, at least two different kinds of quiches, and several hot entrées. I recommend the quiches of the fruitboat which is served with seasonal fruit and cottage cheese. The hot dishes are also pretty good, but sometimes the chicken runs a bit dry. The food portions are pretty generous. Everyday they serve something a little different. The entrées are served with a choice of a small salad or fruit bowl, and a baguette or two slices of whole wheat bread. The desserts are extra, but there is often a choice of cakes and cookies made from scratch. The oatmeal cookies and macaroons are my favorite. Unfortunately, they don’t give a discount if you buy more than one. Which for my waistline is probably a good thing.
