Nice hotel was here for a work conference —
Valet was great, direct beach front… very nice outdoor area for food, We sat ocean-​side super nice. Not the highest end, but totally nice enough.

That’s it, I got bed bug bites here. Normally, I love this place. It’s right on the water, I get ocean views, staff is superb, resort has everything you want. Walk right to the sand, water without any street to cross. The atmosphere is a tropical resort with live music, palm trees. The rooms are spacious, clean. But then, I had the classic breakfast lunch dinner bug bites of bed bugs when I sat on the plane home from this place. Aargh. Horrible.

This place was not what I expected. It looks nice in pictures but it’s pretty run down. Old rooms, showers don’t work. The whole place is really confusing, very poorly laid out. The staff was not great. They didn’t do anything terribly, but they don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome. With the exception of the bartender, he was very nice.
The pool and the fitness center are the highlights at this place. I will probably not be back.

Beautiful hotel. Good gym. Staff is friendly. Concierge desk was very helpful in suggesting local activities to do. Pool leads out to beach with good lounge chairs and towel policy. Sea level restaurant is a good place for poolside lunch.

Great hotel. Right on the beach. It has options to kayak, parasail and jet ski. Also has large pool area. It is very close to a lot. Check out 3030 Ocean on the Lobby floor. The chef won Chopped. Delicious!

I was here on business and someone else was picking up the tab, so I can’t comment on the value, but the hotel itself is very nice. It is large without being sprawling, right on the beach, and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable.
The pool area is quite large, so that should please people who don’t want to swim in the ocean. I did not work out, but the gym is pretty big for a hotel and well appointed, and easily accessed with a key card.
The WiFi works well in the few spots I used it, but it is an extra fee (for several devices, but I don’t know how many). It is a very short walk from the south end of the main beach, and about a mile walk from the beach-​front bar scene.

Great place to stay. All the staff was friendly and happy to help me and my wife at anytime. I really felt respected. Beware of a $ 25.00 a day resort fee that will give you access to some amenities for the beach.

Stayed at The Marriott Harbor Beach Resort for a week in March courtesy of my job for winning an award for my hard work. This resort is absolutely breathtaking. The grounds are kept immaculately and the service is second to none. From the time you set foot on this property until you leave you will be treated like royalty.
The rooms are large and spacious. An oceanview room is a must at this resort. The view of beach and ocean is stunning. Every morning I would bask in the scenery and view from my balcony. The beds will have you in a coma.
The beach is private and pristine. The service on the beach was awesome. The pool is absolutely gorgeous. You will be transported to another world. There are plenty of pool chairs and beds. The complimentary pool beds are grabbed up quickly so get to pool early to avoid having to pay for one. We took some great naps by the pool and on the beach.
I got the best massage of my life here. You have to indulge in the resort’s signature massage, The Tiki Bliss Massage. You will not want to leave. Also if you get any spa services you get to use the spa’s private pool area, which is a hidden oasis within the resort. It was so relaxing.
I cannot speak about the price of anything because all expenses were taken care of by my job. The food, drinks, service, pool, beach, spa and accommodations are fabulous. This was definitely one of the best resorts I have been too. My next trip back to Fort Lauderdale will include me staying at this beautiful hotel!

One of my friends got bit up by bedbugs really bad here. But shit happens, and the way the hotel handled it was phenomenal. They found a doctor who inspected, anti-​itch-​lotioned, and bandaged up her arm. They (obviously) also moved her to another room, which is bug-​free, are getting all of her clothes and luggage sanitized for her, and have isolated the room.
(If they were smart, they’d have given her some $$$$$ and made her sign a non-​disclosure agreement, but they didn’t, so she told me, and now I’m posting it here).
If you’re into beaches and sunshine and stuff like that, this is a great hotel. Their conference and meeting facilities are great.

Very beautiful hotel with lots of activities to do on the grounds. I came for a work meeting and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel on the beach.
Pool on the grounds with mini caves for those who don’t want to bath in the beautiful ocean.
The service was excellent and very helpful to any questions I had.
I ate lunch on the grounds at 3030, which had a variety of options to choose from.
Also at the hotel is 2 other restaurant options, a Starbucks, and if you need last minute printing there is a full service Fed-​ex to assist you.

What a wonderful resort! I stayed here twice (the night before & the night after a 7-​day cruise). The staff are very friendly & so helpful. I like that there are plenty of places to sit in the lobby or outside on the patio. I really like their patio furniture & firepit (I want to keep it in mind for decorating my own porch area). The view is awesome on the patio & from the individual balconies. One problem, though, was that it was often hard to find a place to sit outside where someone wasn’t smoking (or where you couldn’t smell it). One of my family members has asthma, so we needed to find the smoke-​free sweet-​spot whenever we sat outside. It would have been a perfect outdoor retreat if the no-​smoking policy extended out to the patio.
I also liked how this hotel had many choices of little shops for souvenirs & places to eat within it. I even liked the winding hallways & all the twists & turns while trying to get to my hotel room – it was like a therapeutic «labyrinth” – unless I was hauling my luggage with me. It had a beautiful pool, where the water got very warm in the afternoon, but it was close to the beach & easy to get to the ocean to cool off.
Thank you for «bookending» the beginning & end of such a great & memorable vacation! I would’ve wanted to stay longer if I could have. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to go back for another vacation!

Very good hotel with private beach and a big pool. We had a gorgeous balcony view, the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The Beach staff provides you with an umbrella and beach mats. The water is pretty clean, there are some parts with seaweed, but we always went there early and the seaweed was very minimal. The pool can be crowded at certain times but my husband and I only went there early 9−11am to avoid the crowd. There were 2 jacuzzi’s next to the pool area, there is a large changing room next to pool with nice showers. Very nice and relaxing environment, staff was nice except the spa people who I had to chase around. I really loved this hotel, I am definitely coming back again. We paid somewhere around $ 260 for a regular room with a balcony view, including breakfast, hotel fee and taxes.
The minus star is for the spa service, they couldn’t return all of my phone calls asking for information on facials and the services are too expensive and then you realize that it’s because of the additional spa amenities and to have access to the tiny private pool only 3 feet deep. I couldn’t enjoy my $ 228.00 spent for a single facial and some eyebrow plucking. They would’nt let my husband use the spa services on my behalf, they said he had to pay an extra $ 30.00 which I thought was ridiculous after I spent more than $ 200 just to gain access in the first place. Avoid the spa, the big pool area has everything you need.

This would have been zero stars had the kind man at the front desk suggest the Spa pass to utilize the spa and more importantly, the spa pool and amenities. The regular pool was AWFUL… talk about UN RELAXING. The people at that pool were not for me, to many kids and people running all around. If your looking for relaxation, get the spa pass for the pool there. No kids, no sounds, and cool towels brought to you pool side.
The room was NOT worth the price we paid, and needed some serious updates. Stains on the sheets, drawers broken, bathroom was outdated too. I had an oceanfront room, and balcony was tiny.
The beach was not relaxing compared to other hotels ive stayed in the area. It was more family fun and I like relaxing and calm.
Never ate at the restaurant aside from breakfast, which was always good.

To keep it short and sweet this hotel is beautiful !
Right on Fort Lauderdale beach, gorgeous pool, friendly staff, clean rooms and well kept courtyard. There was a few restaurants in the hotel and many dining options very close by (Ft. Lauderdale strip). The location is very central to Las Olas, the airport and pompano.
Definitely will be returning here as soon as possible

I’m going to go with the positives first. Gorgeous location, right on the beach with about 1.5 miles to Las Olas where many diverse restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shopping can be found. Service is friendly and enthusiastic, they do aim to please. Water sports, a few good restaurants on location such as Riva and 3030, also Sea Level which is an outdoor grill by the pool with a bar.
The things that were lacking were the water pressure in the room, it was very low, internet connection and service extremely slow (how do people work here, it took me 10 min to just sync my phone!!) and horrible TV reception! Now, this didn’t really bother me too much because I didn’t spend a lot of time watching tv in my room, but it was really annoying when the sound along with the picture is affected!
I’ve been to better Marriott hotels for sure. We have a great one here in Chicago. For me personally, I was fine with it because I was on the beach in 75 degree weather coming from 15 degree weather. If this was a Marriott in say New York or Boston where they have winters like we do, I wouldn’t have been fine with it. I’ve experienced better Marriott hotels and this was not one of them.

Great location and great amenities package. If you use the Spa then you get to use the private pool which is for adults only. The rooms are nice, but they could be a bit more updated for $ 500 a night.
Overall a pleasant experience and we will come back.

Some of the most exceptional service I have experienced. Everyone on staff is incredibly friendly. When you finish a meal, your plate is promptly whisked away. When you need your phone charged because you left the power chord at home (Doh!) they will charge it for you. When your room is about to be cleaned, housekeeping staff will make small talk with you as you head out. Truly exceptional.
The property is also a stunner. Pristine beach, beautiful pool, chic lobby… Love it!
The spa, though spendy, is also worth taking advantage of. I had a wonderful hot stone massage but also loved the lobby, the resting areas and the wonderful staff. Wish I could be there right now!
My room was a bit of a bummer. The AC was squeaky and the proximity to the road made it a tad noisy for sleeping. Nothing terrible by any means, but not 5 star.

The Marriott Harbor Beach is a terrific hotel. I’ve stayed here several times, and each time have been pleasantly impressed with how my stay went. I love Fort Lauderdale and hope to go back and visit very soon.
The pool is kid friendly with access directly to the beach. You can really spend all day just at the resort and be content. You can also venture out A1A «beach front avenue!» (Vanilla Ice reference, anyone?). It’s a short walk and fun to stop in at the local shops and restaurants.

Perfect place for any trip! Though this is a older hotel, they always keep revamping it and it’s very well taken care of. They have pretty much any amenity you would think of, and are happy to make sure your visit is 100%. All the staff is always personable and remembers you by name. Chris Greene is a staple, stop by and see the bell man on a daily basis, he’s a hoot!

We arrived about 15 minutes early, per the spas suggestion, and were quickly lead back into the spa. We were given robes, lockers, and a key to get us all around the spa. After a short tour of the facility we were left to change in our robes and get ready for our massages. With any 50 minute service you get complimentary use of the spa facilities for the entire day of your service.
Spa facilities include use of the cardiovascular — weight training room, a variety of fitness classes, outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, separate spa facilities for men and women, featuring steam, sauna, whirlpool, spa amenities and toiletries for your personal use, private locker provided with plush robe and sandals for use within the spa, and complimentary juices, teas and fruit served throughout the day. They really do have EVERYTHING you could need while you are there.
We waited in a very nice waiting area for our massage therapists to come fetch us. Water, tea, and juices are available to enjoy while you wait. Our therapists arrived right on time and we were taken back to our rooms. They have 6 massage rooms, so they are able to accommodate a LOT of people throughout the day. We both really enjoyed our massages and I wish I could have taken Josephina back to Orlando with me.
We didn’t have to wait very long after our massages for our nail techs to come get us for our manicures. Even though we were their last appointments of the day they took their time and we never felt rushed. We were even offered champagne, which I took advantage of, when we were first brought in. My hands welcomed the pampering as I hadn’t had a real manicure in ages. I loved my tech Sandy who was very friendly and talked throughout the entire manicure.
Unfortunately we didn’t have time to enjoy the other spa facilities available, but made sure to look around again before we left. The next time I’m in town I will definitely be going back to the spa and making sure I have time to enjoy all the facilities and spend some time by the pool. They also have a HUGE Jacuzzi in the women’s locker room that I was bummed I couldn’t spend some time in.
