History

Established in 1940.

Maus & Hoffman was started in Petoskey Michigan by Bill Maus and Frank Hoffman. Bill and Frank came down to Ft. Lauderdale in 1939 and opened their first Florida store at 710 E Las Olas Boulevard. Maus & Hoffman is still owned and operated by the Maus Family. We are committed to providing the finest quality dress and casual clothing.

You know what you are getting yourself into here. The term, «you get what you pay for» applies for sure. Although items are priced at a premium, you are getting the best money can buy. Do yourself a favor and and stop in. The owners are the best part, very welcoming and always available to lend a helping hand. A Las Olas staple for sure.

When it comes to top line quality men’s and women’s fashion, Maus & Hoffman is the place. I’ve long been one of their customers, have always enjoyed their customer catalogues that keep me touch with the latest of fashion trends, but more particularly their willingness to assist in selections along with their good attention to detail. Many of their items are not only made just for them but also custom designed by them. They have the most knowledgeable and competent staff of any fashion store in the area, so you don’t need to worry about dropping big bucks then walking out only to end up looking like something left over from last month’s blue light special from Walmart.
As an aside, I stopped by Maus & Hoffman the other day to purchase a shirt. When I got it home, to my surprise I noted that on one the inside label it said «Made in USA!» Like really? I don’t think I’ve seen a top of the line garment with a Made in USA label within the past couple of decades.

Bought 4 items on the Internet and within 24 hours I was called and said 2 pocket squares were unavailable and offered no options for corrective action. I purchased a $ 125.00 belt that was well wrapped and protected when shipped to me. When received it was damaged and due the the significant amount of wrapping I could only assume it was shipped like that. After calling customer service it was determined that it was their last belt so I can only assume that the damage was known and possibly returned before by other customers that they shipped it to. But that is only a guess on my part and have no proof, it is just a belief. I would be very concerned about purchasing from them in the future.

Great Clothes! no cookie cutter clothes here. if you wear it you will be the only with it on, because these clothes are so distinctive! I always hear comments when I wear something from Maus i.e. «I like that shirt, shoe or sweater where did you get it?»
Bring your wallet however, some times the clothes go on sale but then the sizes are limited.

Men’s store… Excellent quality… Nothing made in China here. All Italy & Scotland… Fine pieces here! My husband had a field day.
Very nice staff also. You will feel comfy here, they are not pushy sales people.
