After my first encounter with a trainer for my dog left me scratching my head and more unanswered questions I was given the name of Jess. With that one experience just a week before I didn’t know what to expect. She had been recommended by another trainer (which I think speaks volumes) so I was hopeful.
My dog was new to our home and several types of aggression started being shown. Once Jess and I finally were in contact, she sent me an email with a questionnaire. This in itself was a good feeling so that we would be spending lots of time filling her in to the behaviors we were experiencing. When she arrived she wanted to ask more questions to clarify behavior. She was extremely detailed and came with notes. She was extremely thorough with everything we spoke about leading up to her meeting our dog. When the time came she made sure to point things out that she was doing, things that we needed to look for and so on. When the time came for her to be introduced to him she led by example to teach us and then had us practice what she showed us.
Meeting her and having our time was valuable beyond words. Its only been 1 day so time will tell but I am confident with all the tools she gave us and also the follow up email to detail everything we went over with handouts. We will be working to correct his behavior and if I would not have been recommended to her… I honestly don’t know if we would have been keeping our dog.
The service Jess provides is in my opinion worth every penny and she is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about what she does!
