Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale at Cypress Creek

Always have a nice experience at this hotel. Very neat and quiet, comfortable beds, and nice pool area! I gave it 4 stars because I did find a towel rag in the corner of the shower upon arriving one night that was not mine (gross). Other than that, great hotel!

I found this hotel last minute through hotels tonight (great app). I was definitely pleased for the price. The price was about $ 86 a night. I love the fact that every room is a suite and has a sitting area that is separate from the beds. There is a door that closes the rooms off and each one has a TV. Now don’t expect to many channels because I think they only have basic cable. The room itself needs to be updated but it’s nothing that will send you packing. The ceiling looked as if the Sheetrock was coming down in places and some of the furniture could stand to be replaced. Your room comes with a balcony but ours you really wouldn’t want to go out there. The hotel has a full bar swimming pool and an great fitness center, for those that use machines. The staff was great and you get a $ 5 voucher for every day you skip room service. I would stay here again. I enjoyed my time. Yes it wasn’t the best Sheraton but great compared to the other local hotel I found for the price. The awesome staff makes it even better I would definitely return. There was an awesome front desk guy I can’t remember his name I wish I could… he was a Caucasian younger tall male w braces that works night he was so awesome and such a help! OMG thank you so much. Also Monique the bartender was great. I recommend this hotel. I forgot to take pics but all the pics I scrolled through on Unilocal are accurate and that’s how the hotel looks.

DISSAPOINTED!!! This is a delayed review. My visit was in October 2015. We were greeted pleasantly. However, a dirty wine glass with a desert plate was on the hallway floor beside our room door. Obviously, housekeeping neglected to collect it prior to our arrival. We stayed for 2 nights. The glass and plate was still there. RIDICULOUS! That should have been our first clue. Our room was swarmed with LIVE BABY AUNTS. Complained to front desk and was advised, that it was the season (October) and the hard rainfall brings them in. I agree with that. But, why wasn’t pest control on Sheraton’s to do list to avoid from this happening.
I had stayed at this same hotel two years ago and it has dramatically taken a turn for the worse. I was totally embarrassed to invite my friends to stay at this hotel as well, because of my great experience and clean hotel it was at that time. My friends room also had a swarm of aunts. It was suggested by front desk to change the room, but after seeing my friends room we figured aunts would be in all the rooms.
In conclusion, we should have stayed at the hotel that our convention was being held. Heard by our colleagues rooms are very clean and nice. Now we know why our Hearing Society did not book the convention at this same hotel that was held two years ago. Never again!

The folks in the kitchen and the lounge work hard to make sure every guest at this hotel has a great experience.
I stay here a lot, since it’s a good location– and you know you’re getting a decent room.
Beds are comfortable, Hot Tub is a nice treat. Haven’t used the Gym but it looks great inside.
I’d say the Bathrooms could use a little clean up– and some showers are prone to flood… but that would be the least of my worries.
Looking forward to my next visit.

Awesome room and beautiful facility! Looks like they have done a lot of updating to make it modern and upscale– the workout facility is all updated with all new equipment and the lobby/​bar area is beautiful! The rooms are super roomy and great accommodating staff. The management was incredibly accommodating for our entire stay!

Great Place for Families, Couples or your self. My husband and I decided to book in here after a very bad experience at Eden Roc Hotel. We are from IL and I must say that we felt so welcomed by Scott Haggen the General Manager and also Dawn — Room Service. Place is beautiful and super clean. Food is great as well as the entire environment. Scott Haggen went and got us a fan when we asked him where can we purchase one b/​c we are so used to sleeping with a fan. He is truly great!!! Thank You Scott. We will be staying here until for a few days & we hope we continue to enjoy it. Will keep you all posted.

I came to Ft. Lauderdale for a weekend get away and to hang out with some college friends. I booked a 2 room suite and one of my friends decided to stay over after one too many drinks. The set up was perfect as he had a nice, comfortable pull out couch all to himself, along with a nice sized television, mini fridge, coffee (Starbucks!) and microwave.
I had the main room, with a huge, comfortable bed, and a tv with ample cable channels. The room and the bathroom were very clean and spacious. I was impressed.
The only thing I was not impressed with was the train (I believe it is a monorail) that is nearby. I could hear it all night, which was very odd. I’ve heard that if you get a room on one side of the hotel, you don’t hear the train at all. I’ll have to remember that the next time I come to visit.
The hotel staff was great; the front desk clerk made great conversation with me about my trip (I had a very harrowing experience with my cab driver on the way to the hotel). The front desk clerk remembered my experience when I checked out at the end of the weekend, and he personally called a different cab company for me to make sure I’d get to the airport safely.
What I liked best about the hotel was the beautiful indoor courtyard and the glass elevator. It was a nice touch to the hotel and definitely made it stand out. At the time that I stayed at the hotel, they had some type of promotion where if you didn’t need housekeeping services, you received $ 5 off per day of your stay. I considered that a bonus only because I don’t like maids coming into my room when I’m not there.

The service at this hotel is terrible! When I arrived, all of the luggage carts were sitting at the front desk with suitcases on them and I was told that there were no luggage carts available. I waited 30 minutes for a luggage cart because they wouldn’t move three suitcases off a luggage cart where they had luggage stored for hours. Despite the fact that they would not release any of the luggage carts, no one offered to help with my luggage. The rooms are nice but the bathroom and minibar areas have little bugs everywhere. I ran a load of laundry and the washing machine had no rinse or spin cycle. When it stopped, there was a large amount of water all around the washing machine and my clothes were not only soaking wet, they were still soapy. The engineer was very helpful and helped me carry the heavy water-​logged clothes to another floor to te wash everything. He told me to go to the front desk to get my quarters because it was two dollars per load and I had already lost six dollars. When I went to the front desk, they acted as if I was lying and interrogated me about how I could possibly have run three loads. I wasn’t even able to finish a sentence to say that I wasn’t able to run three loads but that I had put four dollars in the dryer because everything was so wet before the engineer move me to another floor. The interrogation continued for about 10 minutes before I got my quarters back and it wasn’t that I didn’t have money to replace the quarters; it was the fact that they were attacking my character and basically accusing me of lying and I hadn’t even been back to my room yet. They had given me the quarters to begin with so they knew exactly how much I had and I showed them I had no pockets and was missing the quarters. I have never imagined someone behind a hotel desk accusing me of lying for such an issue! I would have expected them to apologize for the fact that I was completely wet from all the water that came out of the washing machine! The people at the front desk don’t even have common courtesy or manners! I will never stay at this hotel again!

I come here often for work and notice the hotel has gone through some renovations, for the better. I enjoy this hotel because of the space, proximity to work, and the friendly staff. It’s also not far from the airport, which I’m frequently making last minute runs to, lol. I had to reserve 5 stars from this place because if the incredibly small bathrooms (some that still need updating) and the fact that if you’re a light sleeper, the nearby train rail could wake you up at night. Outside of these two things, I would absolutely stay here on the regular.

Clean rooms, cheap to book with Starpoints at 4k points a night, good club lounge with friendly staff, strong water pressure and hot water from the shower, and balcony overlooking the Citrix complex. About 20 min to the lively street on the beach of Fort Lauderdale, and 45 min from Miami.

My family and I stayed here for a few days to take a load off. Our stay was generally okay but there were some issues surrounding the room. I’m usually not one to fuss about much of anything but when it comes to vacationing with the kids I had to do a little inspection to ensure they were comfortable. Our room was okay despite the dirty TV screen with a piece of gum on it, the broken remote control, the bathroom walls had god knows what on it.(looks like it has not been wiped in ages) cracks in the bathroom ceiling, web and dust in the vents, the draws and wardrobe smelled old and dusty like it has not been open or cleaned ever, plus to top it of we found the underwear of a previous guess in the wardrobe which can only indicate they don’t clean inside the wardrobe or the housekeeper was to short to see what’s up there. There were bugs (ants) in the room so I had to cover all our food items to make sure the didn’t get in them. Rooms are obviously not inspected by management to ensure a better customer experience. Maintenance on the equipment in the room should be done per visit to ensure nothing is missed or broken. There was free wifi but the signal was so weak it was impossible to do much online in the room.
I met a few members of the staff and I can’t complain, they were all exceptionally wonderful. The hotel pool and hot hub was great, the ladies in the store was so sweet, the shuttle driver was nice and very patient.
I would honestly come back but not until they make these minor changes. This hotel is so beautiful but needs some or maybe a lot of TLC. A bit more attention to detail is definitely needed. This is Florida the windows can open up. Get some fresh air in there while cleaning theses rooms. It’s to stuffy and smelly. These rooms should be fresh and clean for every customer. Get it together management this is the Sheraton!!!

Motel 6 experience in a sheraton. Sean the bellhop caused me to write my first hotel review. When leaving I took my hotel cart out to load my car. I had alot on the cart. Sean comes out and takes my stuff off the cart and puts it down on the street. Doesn’t ask or offer to put it in the car. Then he does ask after taking the stuff off the cart. CAN I take you cart? I respond I think you already did. No response from Sean. No I m sorry or anything just walks away with cart. The only reason I give the hotel an extra star is that they have a nice workout room. Hotel is old and run down. They recently remodel the workout room. If price is your only factor stay here. Otherwise look elsewhere

I came here for a work training event and through out the week I was here… All I can say was herendous customer service, Pathetic!!! My colleagues and I were without no access to internet as we needed to work and the hotel manager and engineer didn’t put effort into resolving the issues. If a company pays for the service of coming to your hotel you are supposed to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service, its just logical. Above from that not being attentative and making us feel as if our service isn’t worth the time. Its called collaborate effort! I am not one to speak bad about a company, but this is unacceptable.
My over all time stay here was not worth it!

We only stayed here for just one night before we went on our cruise. We didn’t need much because we were just flying in crashing then heading out to the cruise ship. I have to tell you that it was great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Checking in was easy and effortless on our part. The hotel was open and nice with updated rooms that were very clean. We were completely happy staying here and if we do another cruise we’ll stay here without a second thought.

Horrible… My family and I got in late and we make our way up to the 5^th floor to find out our key does not work. I go down to get s few more made and wouldn’t you know it they don’t work either. The guy made me 20 keys to go up and try.
One eventually worked but only once every 10 tries.
We got in the room and there were no sheets on the pull out.
The bathroom was super old and weird. The sink was somewhere between my knees and waist in height.
The whole area this hotel is in is depressed as it is right near a sketchy Casino.

After awhile, most hotel rooms start to look the same to me. As long as the room is clean, the shower has hot water and good water pressure, and the bed is bug-​free and comfortable, then I’m generally happy.
I’m pretty sure this used to be an Embassy Suites. All rooms open into an open area with a waterfall and dining area downstairs. Rooms have windows in the front living area, so unless your curtain are closed, people passing by can wave at you while you’re sitting on the couch watching CNN and typing Unilocal reviews.
A couple of other comments:
–The pool is heavily shaded by trees and the building itself, so there isn’t much sun to bathe in.
–The water pressure in my room was fantastic, but the drain couldn’t keep up. By the time I was out of the shower, I was wading in water that was past my ankles. Also, the shower curtain wasn’t quite long enough, and I ended up having to use a towel to mop up the water that was all over the floor.
Not a bad hotel at all. I ran into the GM in the elevator and he commented he was new and had several things planned for the property. Looking forward to staying here again and seeing what happens.

So I booked this hotel on my sheraton points and was impressed that I got an email from the guest services a couple nights before mt check in date asking what time I would be arriving and if I needed any extra services.
I called ahead to add my husband to the room and said we’d be in town around 1030 am so they made a note of it. Got here at 10 and was told there were no rooms which we understood. I said we did let them know we would be early and she got a bit rude and repeated she didn’t have rooms. she took my husband cell number and said she’d call when a room was available. She never called and he came back twice to see if they had rooms. He actually stood in line and watched her give 6 rooms out and then tell him no rooms were ready yet. He finally got a room at 2.
Room is nice and has a separate living area with refrigerator and microwave. There is complimentary water and starbucks coffee. Our toilet was broken and they sent maintenance up to fix it. Shower was a bit dated. Cute interior as the room doors face the interior of the building and you can see down to the restaurant and open courtyard. The elevators are super slow and there are only 2 of them! You can take stairs down but not up as they are locked.
A little outdated but the lobby is nice and the rooms are spacious and we’ll appointed.

I loved my stay here. The clerk at check in was very professional and informative. The entire hotel was gorgeous and luxurious. We had a living room, dining table and a mini kitchen/​bar in our room. It was a bit annoying how the ice machine was out of the way a bit but overall, it was a great stay. I love when hotels provide good quality coffee (Starbucks) and tea for their guests! The beds were very comfortable and early check-​out was so easy. This hotel is awesome!

Just checked in, so far sooo good. Check in yook a while because there was no one at the desk, I had to knock on the door for someone to come out. Once the nice lady came out it was smooth sailing. She was very nice, very informative and welcoming.
The room is really nice, clean and overlooks the pool. It also overlooks the Avenue and it may be a bit noisy but I’m originally from NYC & don’t mind it. I received a call from the front desk manager welcoming us and extending his service. Very nice!
If you upgrade to club level you get free hors d’oeuvres and free breakfast.

Really impressed with this hotel and my guess is the renovation is complete based on the other reviews. Very good price for effectively a 1 bedroom apartment. We also had an issue late in the evening and they were immediately on top of it and went above and beyond to accommodate us. If the restaurant was better, they may have had a chance at 5 stars. Regardless, I’ve already booked another trip back here, I just won’t eat at the restaurant!
