Specialties
Award wining Cajun and southern cuisine
History
Established in 1998.
When Dan Stasi, a.k.a. «Staz,» fires up the boiler everyone but the crawfish is clawing to get some of the feast. Staz is the chef and owner of Shuck-N-Dive Cajun Café in Fort Lauderdale. This 90-seat café, which is the official home of the South Florida LSU alumni and local headquarters for New Orleans Saints games (whodat?), also serves up some of the best Cajun, Creole, and southern cooking this side of the Mississippi.
His love for the city of New Orleans inspired Staz to create his own little «swampy oasis:» in the middle of «sandy» South Florida. You can verify the authenticity of his fare by ordering a sausage po’boy, étouffée, red beans n’ rice, country file gumbo, or any of the black board specials. Don’t miss the flown in fresh oysters, soft shell crab, and Live Louisiana crawfish. Locals love the fried green tomatoes, the jambalaya, and the delicious burgers in three varieties — Black Angus, Buffalo, and Gator. Yes, alligator — remember, this is Louisiana fare.
