Stevie Moon

I have interested in getting my first tattoo for a couple of years now. When I saw a really cool tattoo on other guys I asked where they got it and nearly always they said, «Stevie Moon.» I finally ventured into his studio and was greeted in a professional and friendly manner. I had a lot of questions and Stevie and his staff (Joey) answered them clearly and patiently. Stevie listened to what I envisioned and added his opinion when I asked. During the process from start to finish the studio was spotless and clean. Stevie made me very comfortable and I get the impression he is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. I am amazed at his talent and artistry and I could not be happier with the results of my new awesome tattoo.

Do not go to this guy. He ripped me off of a $ 150 deposit. I have challenged the charge on my credit card and if that is not successful I will take him to small claims court. I will post an update.
My first visit I talked to both Stevie and Brandon. I explained what I wanted and put down a deposit although I thought his price was very high. When I went back I saw only Brandon. I would describe his manner as sleazy, unctious. Nothing had been done — no design to show me. Brandon said he was going to draw it on my body, and he had told me that. I don’t remember that. I said I did not want to proceed and asked for my deposit back. The answer was «you signed a contract, man.» Since neither of the two of them had done a thing and had not showed me anything, or even told me anything, about how they would implement my idea I don’t think they have a right to my money, contract or no.
Check out the «not recommended» reviews — many read like they were written by Stevie or Brandon, that’s why Unilocal’s automated software flagged them.
Update: after a written complaint to my credit card company, the $ 150 was refunded.
Update 5÷5÷15: Stevie Moon is disputing the credit card chargeback. The contract, which I was sent a copy of (I had one) says that «this is a tattoo that is specifically being designed, researched, traced and/​or drawn specifically for me… If I choose not to continue the tattoo for any reason whatsoever, the deposit will be used to cover the time invested by the artist on my artwork.
However, the artist did not invest any time on my artwork, or anything else connected with me. I am continuing to dispute the charge through the credit card company.
