Reasonable rates and a good location, but not much else. Edgar(one of the staff) was really nice and flexible during our stay. They even provided beach towels and let us keep our car there until we left for our flight later that day. Breakfast is mediocre; bagels, cereal, and coffee/hot tea. I would suggest getting a room with a kitchen and having breakfast in your room. My big complaint is with the cleaning staff. We would leave the windows open, lights, and AC off. Despite the Clean Florida Act, we would return and the AC was on with the windows still open. Also, on the day we checked out, we forgot a re-freezable lunch bag and when we came back later that same day, we found out they threw it out(ironically, after we tipped them). When I went back to the room to check, the fridge and freezer doors were open while they were still on. Not the end of the world, but still annoying and inconsiderate. It’s a shame because there are some really nice people who run this place and we liked the fact that it was quiet and close to the beach. I think if they invested a little more in a decent breakfast and encouraged the cleaning staff to pay closer attention to their work, I would give it a higher review. Not bad, but it could be better.

What a great little place! I was looking for an affordable place to escape to for a few days near the beach, I read several positive things about this place and figured I’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean everything was. It’s an older building, and while some modern updates wouldn’t hurt, for the price you really can’t beat it! The staff was super-friendly, the grounds were very well maintained, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Clean and fairly quite but a little dingy, we had one night to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area and Sunrise Inn was one of the few places with any vacancies. We paid $ 125($ 132 with tax) and got an spacious efficiency apartment with 2 beds and a small kitchen. The staff was friendly and very helpful in pointing us to restaurants close the inn. There are places to eat and shop within walking distance. We didn’t take advantage of the pool — too cold out. Also, I’m a freak about bugs in hotel rooms and I didn’t see any in our room — big plus for me! One other interesting point, at the continental breakfast we were the only people speaking English, I heard French, maybe German and a Scandinavian dialect at least. The owners are polish and I don’t know if they advertise heavily in Europe or what, but it was pretty cool.

Stayed last week for a night before a cruise. Nothing fancy, but it was perfectly clean, quiet and cheap… Paid 55 for the Friday night stay and had no issues. Small family run business who were really nice to deal with. If your looking for frills it’s not the place for you, but if you just need a place for a few nights or your the type who does not invest vacation money into the hotel amenities it’s the perfect place. Again, highly recommended for a 1 – 2 night stay.

Stayed a couple of days last week. The rate was reasonable. It was easy to find. Clean, no carpet(thank goodness!) and super comfortable beds. There was a standard kitchen inside, but there weren’t any pots for cooking. A couple of pans were in the oven. Nothing except a few tiny hand soaps were in the bathroom. Of course, I didn’t really expect to receive any, so I brought my own. The wifi is not that great, but it works. Tiki bar and pool were closed because it rained almost the entire time I was there! I didn’t use the washer or dryer. It is a quarter for ice. The other tenants/guests do not bother you. It is rather quiet here. It took me about 15 minutes to walk down to Commercial Pier. You can access the beach through the hotel across the street though. I just chose to go down to the pier because I wanted to eat at Arubas and take some pictures. This is a family owned/operated motel. They are friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again because even though it is a bit worn down — the staff are friendly and it is a clean place. Plus, those beds are just so unbelievably comfortable. This isn’t a 4 star hotel, but if you are looking for clean and comfortable — this is a great place to stay.

Stayed in April, liked the place and staff. Room was reasonable, TV could of been in better location however. Lots of storage for clothes, kitchenette was clean, good quality pots and pans, no carpets inside, Decent pool area, wifi is dicey, lots of trees around so we got bit up like hell by bugs even with using bugs spray, washer and dryers on premises but warning dryer gets VERY hot, but there are caution signs. They are energy saver owners by turning down fridge after guest check out which is a +! Close to super market, eateries and nail salon, beach about a 5 min walk.
