History

Established in 2011.

Under new ownership as of May 2011, The Dive Bar has maintained its status as your local neighborhood bar. We have a casual, relaxing and fun atmosphere and give locals a place to hang out with their friends.

The Dive Bar has been on the beach since 2005. If you have been in Fort Lauderdale for a while, you might remember this location as Gum Wrappers, a famous Gentlemen’s Club. The poles and mirrors are gone now. In their place are two large bars, a pool table and a large stage for some of the best local music around.

Meet the Manager

Cody C.

Manager

The The Dive Bar was bought in May 2011 and I have been working to bring the bar to its full potential since we opened the doors. As the general manager, I always want to know our customers’ opinions, good or bad, so that I can work to make their dive bar experience even better.

Cody hails from Casper, Wyoming and has been a Floridian since 2007. With a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, he can be found behind the bar most day’s with an open ear. An experienced manager and bartender, he has also worked in the criminal justice system in Colorado with at-risk youth and in mental health here in Florida.
