At Dr Yani Dixon (Former Dr Yani McConnell) office we don’t simply treat teeth — we are dedicated to treating people and improving lives. History

Established in 2006.

Dr Yani Dixon (former Dr Yani McConnell) took over the Dental office in 2008. We are now entering another era in the history of our practice, as we have newly remodeled our dental office to make it even more comfortable and up-​to-​date.

We provide care to patients from Fort Lauderdale to Pompano Beach and surrounding communities. Though we were initially known for our cosmetic dentistry procedures, we continue to evolve where we now offer a holistic and healthy approach to dental care. We do still we also offer gum disease treatment, Invisalign® invisible braces, implant dentistry, and full mouth reconstruction.

I really was floored at my first experience with Dr. Yani and her staff today. It started with the staff coming into the waiting room and asking me about me – my interests, experiences, and life in general. I was then administered the most thorough «routine» diagnostics I have ever seen at a dentist, followed by the most thorough cleaning I’ve ever had – by leaps and bounds. The office is immaculate, super high-​tech, and just has a great vibe. I spent more time there (because their thorough service; they didn’t make me wait at all) than I ever thought I might at a dentist, and I only noticed it after I left.

Best dental experience I have had. The staff was extremly nice and friendly. Everyone was very personable and knowlegeable. The office is unlike any other dentist office it has a very warm atmosphere to it. Easy process, they take their time with you each step of the way so you know they truley care for their clients. I also love how it’s a holistic dentistry and the products used are organic. Highlty recommended!!! Thank you for my pearly whites :)

My husband and I relocated to Fort Lauderdale and had no idea where we were going to find a great dentist like we had back home. We found Dr Yani’s office on Unilocal with great ratings and decided to check it out for a basic teeth cleaning. Amanda did an amazing job with the cleaning and had excellent attention to detail. Dr Yani was also there to consult me and tell me a plan to action on a Mercury filling removal. Who knew Mercury fillings were so toxic?! I love their holistic approach here and we will definitely be coming back soon!

I’m so happy I found this dentist!
I was browsing through Unilocal randomly yesterday and stumbled upon these awesome reviews. I was so desperate to find a new dentist fast! So I decided to book an apt. I usually hate going to the dentist. I used to be nervous before my appointments at my previous dentist but I was actually kind of excited for this one because of how warm and reassuring everyone is at Dr. Yanni’s office. I hadn’t realized how much I was missing out on the comfort of AMAZING patient care until I walked through their door!
They truly care about their patients and take the time to give you the best care possible. I’m usually such a baby when it comes to any kind of teeth cleaning but Amanda the dental hygienist numbed me right up and I almost fell asleep at one point from being so relaxed and comfortable. Plus they play relaxing music, light candles, and have a cute little aroma therapy machine going on during your appointment. It really felt like a dental spa!
Another thing that I really love is that Dr. Yanni offers the option to try their natural dental care products. They have this tooth and gums tonic mouth wash I bought and it’s nice to know I’m using something that will benefit my dental care in the long run.
Overall, if you’re thinking about switching your dentist or too scared to go back to yours because of any previous bad experience — come here. They’ll treat you like family and make sure you’re completely comfortable :)

I am so pleased with my experience with this office that I actually started this Unilocal account just to review how amazing Dr. Yani’s office is. I just moved to the area and was nervous about going to a new dentist. Dr. Yani and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail and willingness to go out of their way is truly great. My first appointment I was late due to being pulled over on the way and they were very understanding. The dental work that has been done so far (Mercury filling removal, deep cleaning, fixing broken front tooth) has been done effectively and with immediate follow up to all questions. Due to the amount of work that I am getting done it’s important to feel comfortable with my dentist and I feel that I made the right choice choosing Dr. Yani’s office. They take service to the next level. If you need a great dentist make sure to go see Dr. Yani, tell them Big Gee sent you.

My fiancé and I relocated to Lauderdale from out of state, and were worried about finding a good dentist seeing as we really liked the one we went to our whole lives. We found Dr. Yani on Unilocal and she had 5 stars so we both went for a cleaning and loved her. Her staff are very friendly, the place is immaculate, and the equipment is top of the line. They took time to explain our X-​rays to us, and the cost was so reasonable considering neither of us have dental insurance.
I went back to a mini procedure that was lingering from the state I lived in. I was in and out so fast and Dr. Yani perfected what my prior dentist did not do. We are both very pleased.

The staff are extremely personable — very lovely. After an email, phone discussion and registration it appears you cannot get a teeth clean without seeing the doctor (new patient) — unfortunately it was a waste of time for a simple teeth clean! I hope my next trip will be better!

First of all, I always like to read reviews about any doctor before I make an appointment. She’s gotten great reviews, but could they all be true? Yes! The most thorough and technologically advanced cleaning I’ve ever had. At first, you walk in and are immediately welcomed by the friendly staff. The entire place is clean and updated inside. The equipment and procedures were state of the art, so you know you’re getting quality service. Once Dr. Yani came into the room, her examination was thorough and she explained everything she was doing quite well to me, which made my feel comfortable and well informed. I wasn’t expecting the entire cleaning to take an hour and half, but with the results I got, I can’t complain. I’ll be going back, and have already recommended this office to others.

I saw Dr. Yani regularly for several years. Then I lost my dental plan and allowed my care to lapse. After using a Groupon at another dentist, I realized there’s no place like home. Even without a dental plan, returned to Dr. Yani and am I ever happy! What was I thinking? I never feel pressured into care I don’t need and if I have a concern I’m comfortable that the care she provides is second to none. If you haven’t tried Dr. Yani, you’re missing out!

What can i say Dr Yani restored my confidence, after over 10 years of neglecting my mouth i had such bad decay that my girlfriend refused to kiss me and my children made fun of my green teeth. Well that’s all over after visiting 3 different Dr’s in the ft Lauderdale area i decided that Not only was Dr. Yani the Nicest she was the least expensive… 7 extractions multiple fillings and crowns and 1 root canal later i can gladly say I’m proud to smile!!! Thanks Dr. Yani for everything!!!

Boy, are we happy. We moved down from Boston at the end of September and were dreading finding new doctors here. We spent a good few weeks researching online reviews and dentists’ websites, before opting for Dr. McConnell. Happy to say it was a great decision.
Dr. McConnell is professional, personable and extremely capable. She and her team gave the two of us the most thorough check-​up, x-​rays, cleaning and consultations we’ve ever had. They found or suggested things that had never been introduced by our dentist in MA. Like Alex M. said in his 10⁄9 Unilocal review, things were found that our previous dentist had totally missed. Thank God.
We also liked their balance between health and aesthetics. And at no time did we feel like we were being pushed to buy something. We both highly recommend this office. It is very close to downtown over the SE 3rd Ave. bridge.
