Great fun for kids! The characters keep everyone involved even parents :-)…a must do for family’s visiting Ft Myers Beach

What a great time ! Our party of 10 locals braved the seas during peak tourist season and had the time of our lives.
Pieces of Eight Captain and Crew exceed all our expectations on the Arrgh rated cruise!
Seriously when looking for something fun to do buy pirate hats and head to Salty Sams. The on board show was hysterical and the cost of the trip is an incredible value.
Be sure to keep an eye out for pick pocket Pete!

Good fun for kids and their parents. The cruise is 1.5 hours and throughout the cruise the «pirates» are telling stories, playing with the kids etc. It is enjoyable for grown ups as well and no matter your age, if you want to act and play with the «pirates» you are very welcome.
For the kids you may buy either a «buccaneer» ticket or a «captain» ticket. The latter includes some toys like a hat, a sword, a hook etc. There is no need really to go for the Captain ticket unless your kids are in their pirate-​period.
The cruise is based on interactivity between the kids (+parents) and the «pirates». You don’t have to, but that is the best way to have a really good pirate cruise. If you would rather just sit down and have a drink, watching others play around, that may be quite enjoyable to.

Went on the cruise Sunday. We took our 13 and 6 year old grandsons.
Our 6 year old had a blast! Our 13 year old, my husband and me were extremely bored.
They did receive gems… however our was dropped on the pier and fell in the water. Maybe they should think of including a little pouch to put them in!
The face painting was adorable for the 6 year old. Much to childish for the 13 year old to participate. I agreed with him.
Being sworn in as a pirate again was great for the 6 year old.
Limbo stick was chaotic.
The captain kept checking his cell phone. Where we interrupting his social life? I feel for 90 minutes he could have put it away. Unless he was going to jump off the ship, he was not going anywhere.
I gave it a 3 star because I didn’t feel for the price it was entertaining for the whole family. If you have little ones great. If you have Tweens not fun.
We also received a coupon for ½ child’s meal? I spent $ 120 and received a $ 3 coupon. Yeah!

What a fun time! Worth the money. The kids were entertained the entire trip. Great sites. Adults enjoyed the entertainment too. We had a beautiful day and lots of family fun. Worth the money. Adult drinks were yummy and reasonable. The kids had so much fun.

Fun pirate cruise for the kids. But beware!!! The person who takes the reservations tells you to turn on Buttonwood. Don’t do it!!! A cop was waiting there and gave us a ticket for $ 161 and 3 points for getting into the turn lane 15 feet too early. Accused us of trying to sneak past traffic onto the island. With four kids in the back dressed like pirates it should have been obvious we weren’t going to the beach. Never coming back to Ft Myers.

Five of us, nana, papa, mom, dad and 4 year old (3 generations) thoroughly enjoyed this 90 minute pirate ship cruise. the actors are talented and convincing and kept the kids and parents entertained.
The pirates interact and entertain the kids the whole time. Face painting is included and every kid goes home with pirate treasure like rings, treasure maps, coins and jewels. The ship is large and there’s plenty of room to move around with upper decks on both the bow and stern. The center area of the boat is where most of the entertainment takes place and you can see everything from any spot on the boat. The kids are christened as full fledged «pirates». Great entertainment for all ages. Highly recommend this voyage.

Actually not able to provide review. We were supposed to have granddaughters birthday party and when my daughter called after making reservation for 10 they said they cancelled cruise. Never called her or anything leaving her to try and find a place for a five year old party. Very poor service level from that standpoint. P. S, weather not a factor, beautiful evening.

It was amazing! Was thinking that we would just be sitting on a boat watching a pirate show but it was so much more than that! They actually sailed out a little ways into the Gulf of Mexico and had a bar wiith drinks for the adults and kids on the ship! So worth the money, my son had a blast and so did we!

We are in fort myers for a family beach vacation with our 1 year old and 5 year old And decided to check the pirate cruise out. The Marina is 12 minutes from the pink shell which is where we were staying so that was very convenient. Right from the start the crew is so fun. They really go out of their way to engage the passengers. My 5 year old had a blast! He danced, got his face painted, played limbo and won pirate treasures. Drinks are super cheap! $ 4. They accept credit cards but don’t forget to bring cash in case you want to tip at the end. Overall I think it was a super cute experience for my son. We all had a great time!

Great time with the family. Pick Pocket Pete was fabulous with my kids. We all enjoyed the entertainment and the cruise out along the beach. All the people were great. They do free face painting and get all the kids involved. They pass out pirate treasures for the kids and they have a bar for the adults. This was our second time doing this with our kids. We took them on this cruise a few year ago. They changed it up a little and my kids really enjoyed it both times. I would highly recommend you this if you have kids 2 – 14.

Great afternoon with the kids, my dad planned this for my girls so the 4 of us took to the high seas.
My girls loved it, face painting was a hit. They were crazy over the treasure & games. My 6 yr old said 5 stars my 4 yr old said 3, so 4 it is. They do have a full bar and the prices aren’t bad, $ 4 a beer, 1.75 for lemonade & $ 6 for mixed drinks.
If you are looking for something different to do with the kids one afternoon, this is a good choice

This review is for the Adults-​Only Friday Night ‘Pirate’ Cruise.
I put ‘pirate’ in quotations because the theme was scarce. Of the seven or eight crew-​members/​actors, only one (Mad Mike) had any sort of piratical character. All of the other ‘actors’ were simply young people dressed up as pirates with ZERO pirate personality. The acting left much to be desired. Most of the time, the actors talked over one another or mumbled off into their mics, making their jokes hard to hear. Speaking of jokes, the timing was poor, and punchlines were missed by the audience. Very few jokes had anything to do with pirates. And the actors seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves or with members of a party onboard that they seemed to know on a personal level. There was very little mingling with the guests.
The boat left past sundown – it would be nice if they left earlier in the winter time so that guests can see the sunset and their surroundings.
The games were fun, and the bar had a decent selection. Those were some good points. Firing of the canons was a nice touch. Music was okay – they really ought to consider playing some ‘Alestorm.‘
Still, we had a good enough time for the price we paid for the tickets. I just wish there was more ‘pirate’ in this pirate cruise and some better talent. Sounds like I will have to go during the day for the kiddie cruise to get that.

Inside the main cabin is a full bar so parents can enjoy a cocktail and at $ 6 the prices are very reasonable. They also sell some pirate items like swords, hats, etc. also reasonably priced. I bought my son a nice plastic pirate sword and it was only $ 4. The staff go out of their way to make sure everyone has a great time.
After the cruise they give you a coupon for a free kids meal at the restaurants at Salty Sam’s Marina. They also have a great pirate gift shop that has anything your little pirate could ever want! My 3 yr old son had an awesome time and we’ll be going back again for sure!

Took 7 year old grandson. Found it tasteless and offensive… Bathroom humor and Lindsey Lohan jokes were not at all what I expected as entertainment for children. would not recommend…

We went for new years eve. I didn’t care for it. for $ 30.00 a person they didn’t give you anything. Not even a champaign toast or party favors or even 1 complimentary drink… the pirates are ok. They could of put on a better show. I wont be back. Its basically a boat ride.

Good value for a great time. Perfect for kids without a scaring them. Nice ship with plenty of room.
Free Face painting, skit, games, educational story time, lots of prizes, they even take a family picture of you before you board. ($ 10)
Even though it never went to open seas, I get motion sickness and was glad I took something.
There’s a small shop to buy sunglasses, last minute needs at the dock.
Perfect for Birthdays and groups.

Great family fun! We took our 9 and 4 year old sons and they had a blast. The «pirates» really involve the kids. I would suggest getting their early and boarding as soon as you can so that you can get a good seat looking over the main deck.

This is a great family adventure with something for everyone!
Kids are entertained by the pirates and their shenanigans while mom and dad, or grandma and grandpa can enjoy a nice easy boat ride, with a cold beverage. Very entertaining– these people truly enjoy their job, and entertaining people. For us, this was a true treasure, and something we will do on our next trip down! Very reasonably priced, and for repeat riders you get half off!

The whole family had a great time here! There were adult drinks, kid fun and a journey for everyone.
This is a family outing. There are games and prizes and face painting for the kids, while mom and dad can have a drink or two. The folks do a great job putting on a show and keep the kiddos smiling and there are even a few jokes that only mom and dad will get.
I highly recommend this outing!
