Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina

I’ve stayed at the Pink Shell many times over the years when I visited my parents. This time we stayed in the Captiva Villas. What an incredible room, incredible views. The suite had an enclosed patio on each side, in room jacuzzi, kitchenette. I loved waking up to the beautiful beach, yet the room was quiet and peaceful. Very happy again with the Pink Shell! The best at Fort Myers Beach!

For spring break vacation, we stayed at this property for a week In March and found the staff, room, overall property and amenities of resort to be first rate!
From the mid afternoon ice cream sundae bar for the kids, the live entertainment during the evening sunset festival, and delicious food and beverages, we would absolutely return for another stay and recommend it for those vacationing as families with children.

Amazing — highly recommend to any single man or woman, couple or family! Views, rooms, food, amenities are amazing ! Best family vacation ever. We happen to stay in a friends place which is part of the resort. They happen to own a unit that they rent out throughout the year. From personal kayaking tours, to jet skiing, dolphin viewing and sea escapes was amazing. I highly recommend it!

This resort was super clean, inviting, and beautiful! It’s vey family friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the pools and surrounding areas were great and lots of fun! We won’t go anywhere else in Fort Myers after visiting Pink Shell. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable!

This is one of the best resorts we have been to! My husband and I brought our four boys here to celebrate their birthdays, and it was everything they had wished for & more. We enjoyed the 2 bedroom suite with the Sanibel view. The room was comfortable and everything was provided so that we could choose to cook, eat-​in, or go out to eat. First two mornings, we ate at Jack’s Restaurant at the resort. The food was delicious. The first morning they offered a variety of foods including an omelette station with Belgian waffles. The second morning they made our favorite; eggs Benedict! The suite also came with a washer and dryer so we were able to leave our vacation comfortably! It was amazing. My children experienced kayaking and paddle boarding during our stay. There was always something new to do everyday whether it was playing in the sun, relaxing indoors or checking out their indoor arcade. We were able to fish from the marina and the beach; moreover, we caught a variety of fish including snapper & catfish. Some local places that we enjoyed were The Beached Whale & The Mermaid which was less than a 5 minute drive from the marina. The staff was friendly and attended to our every need. We had so much fun and my boys are already asking to return… So excited to return next year.

Just got home from a 5 day, 4 night visit to Pink Shell. My wife, myself and 2 small kids had a blast! We started looking for resorts on Sanibel Island and ended up here after a bunch of searching. We are soo glad we found this place. It was awesome.
With 2 kids, we had a 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen. HUGE benefit having the separate bedrooms and kitchen… Stopped to get groceries on the way down and that was great for some meals. We used the grills for dinner one night, and ate by the pool which was awesome… It was also great and easy to cook up some food for lunch, instead of constantly eating out.
Regarding on site food (Jacks and Bongo’s) it is everything you should expect… Jacks for breakfast is a buffet and very typical. Some days were better than others, and the food was mediocre, but normal for buffets.
Bongos was cool. Drinks are expensive, but remember, ITS A RESORT! The burger and some of the other food was much better than what we expected.
They had a bunch of kids events through the days, the beach had free kayak and paddle board rentals and the place was clean.
Yes, there is some wear and tear, and its not brand new, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is that they were doing construction on Friday and Saturday int he room above us. I am in the construction industry and completely understand the need; on Friday it started on around lunch… and inconvenience, however nothing to be to upset about (after all, it has to happen at some point). However, they started construction again on Saturday morning! This is not acceptable. Yes, I have kids and i am up early, but the is not F****** ok! You do work during the week, but not on the weekend.
Keep in mind, as much as it was annoying, we didnt plan on staying in the room, and never complained about it — instead we went to the beach.
We would definitely go back and recommend this place to friends and family!

A great vacation spot!!! This is by far the best place to stay. It’s great for couples, families and those traveling alone.
There are so many different room options, but I favor the building I stay in each time I visit. I stay in the Sanibel View studios. It’s great because they have two queen beds (or 1 king-​depends on your needs), fridge and full kitchen! The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, glasses, plates, etc. Also, they give you paper towels, dish soap and a dish towel. It’s a great way to save money. In addition, you can’t beat the view while enjoying your meals. It looks over a large pool and the Gulf.
So the property? Well, there are three beautiful pools. One pool has water that cascades over this large octopus and provides a great massage on your back. Near the pool is the bar. If you get bored they have ping pong and other games. Some nights they even have live music. The second pool is deeper and quieter. You really get the best of both worlds! Then they have a pool which is for kids.
Beyond the pool lies the beautiful Gulf. Here the resort provides free beach chairs, large beach towels, umbrellas, kayaking and stand up paddle boards. Oh, don’t forget if you’re thirsty or hungry to raise your flag for immediate service!
The spa is wonderful. The masseuses know how to massage well. There is a men’s and women’s locker room. In each locker room is a sauna, showers and lockers. They have specials each month so always check their website.
Pink Shell also has an arcade and some sort of babysitting program.
The free perks are a huge plus. They provide two free adult breakfasts. The made to order omelettes are delicious. They’ll even make them with egg whites. The freshly made waffles were delicious too. They tasted delectable with homemade whipped cream and fruit. The buffet changes every morning. The stuffed French toast was another favorite of ours. Besides breakfast, you get two huge bottles of water from Norway, two drinks at their bar and a beach bag. The perks alone make it worth the stay!
Parking is easy. There is even shaded parking. There are a lot of staff members throughout the resort that always wear a pleasant smile and will provide any necessary assistance.
I highly recommend this resort!!!

Best resort on FMB. Property was immaculate and the service was excellent. Paddle boards, kayaks and jets skis available for guest. This is the only place I’ll stay again while in town.

Great place to get away for a couple a days and just a short drive from Miami. Rooms are very well kept with kitchens, there are a lot of things and activities for the kids to do on the property, and the area has a lot of local places within walking distance. The staff is also extremely friendly.

Spending an amazing long weekend in fort Myers beach. We visited this resort many years ago and while much as changed, much remains the same. If you get here early, don’t worry, the staff will hold your luggage until your room is ready while you can begin your Vacay! With that said, the bell men are amazing — BOB gets 5 stars for sure!!!
I took away 1 star for one reason only. The patio furniture in our room is a little dirty and while I can accept sandy because we are on the beach– dirty doesn’t get a pass. Just the same, can’t wait to come back. Amazing time had by all!

Every time we go to fort Meyers we stay here. Great, clean resort right on the beach. Very family friendly. Ha a nice kids playroom and two splash pools. Every room has enclosed porch which was beautiful to watch the sunset nightly. buffet breakfast was include and it was not disappointing ! Everything from chocolate chip pancakes to French toast to every kind of omelette u could dream up. Worth every penny. Will be back !

Im a fan of this place… if you have to be on the Gulf in FL, this is where you should stay. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. I have stayed in all the buildings, they have something for everyone. On-​site restaurants… could be better. This is a good resort for families as its definitely geared towards young families. Fitness center is meh, it overlooks the water, and is always vacant which is nice. Spa is decent. Its location on the beach is perfect.

Phenomenal experience!
After reading reviews prior to booking our vacation stay, this place seemed like a good fit for what we were looking for. Though a tad pricey, it’s money well-​spent.
First of all, let’s get the negatives out of the way (mind you, these are nit picky and no way will reduce a 5* rating).
— They forgot our room service (mixed up the room number), but they made our order even after the kitchen was closed and didn’t charge us!
— A lot of the dishes in the condo/​room were dirty.
— We bought eggs and bacon to cook for brinner, but surpisingly, there were no good pans or any plates that were microwaveable (or convention ovenable?)
— The DVD player in the room was an old LG piece of crappola that would crash every time you tried to get Netflix or YouTube up.
— The two free drinks/​$ 15 credit that came with our stay was never reflected on our bill at Bongos.
…and that’s it folks.
Now for the GOOD stuff!
— Immediately upon arriving we were welcomed by a wonderful front desk attendant, Simona. She was so happy and helpful. She really set the tone for our stay. (Giver her a raise *cough *cough)
— Parking was kind of confusing at first, but we later found that there was also a lot across the street.
— The room was beautiful! We had the luxury of getting ¹⁄₆ rooms with two balconies. It had a great layout with a gorgeous shower and a Jacuzzi.
— There were towels, chairs and umbrellas that came with the room for the well-​kept beach.
— If you’re not into sand/​ocean, there are pools outside each building.
— The wristbands were a nice touch for getting into your room/​access to other areas.
— The fitness center is pretty solid for a resort: a couple cardio machines, multi-​use cable machine, exercise balls/​mats, and free weights.
— Jack’s breakfast is complimentary and decently stocked. You can have an omelet made custom or choose from mounds of bacon/​sausage, pancakes, eggs/​veggie mix, and potatoes.
— Souvenir shop is very well-​stocked as well. From wine/​liquor/​beer and snacks to swimgear and memorabilia, you should be able to find what you want if you don’t want to go out. Nikki was very wonderful in helping me pick out new trunks!
— Checkout was super easy. You just drop your bands in the bin outside the elevators (extremely dramatic elevators. Ha!) and go. They’ll email you the cost breakdown.
— Lastly, I can’t say enough how great service was here. Whenever something did go awry, they were overly willing to make up for it and make sure it didn’t affect our stay.

We had a marvelous vacation at Pink Shell. From the lovely gal who booked our reservation online to our last meal at Bongo’s, Our vacation at Pink Shell was lovely. We can’t wait to return!

The customer service at this resort is remarkable! Every single employee from the bellman to the waitresses to the gift shop clerk to the managers was exceptionally helpful, kind, positive, and hospitable. The first night there, my husband felt little bugs (the infamous noseum of Florida), so a manager came the next morning and inspected the room. Even though he didn’t find anything, he moved us to a different room, followed up with a «check up» call the next morning, and even sent a gift to our two sons: a stuffed animal alligator and manatee wrapped in a beautiful resort bag. The host and waitresses at the restaurant were so nice to our sons and played with them and even let them pick out little toys from the toy chest.
The pools and resort beach were fun and family friendly and the bracelets and towel return were very convenient. The gift shop even had a movie dvd rental for $ 3, which was great. It was only a 0.7 mile walk into town, and we enjoyed running to the pier in town and back. What a great trip! The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 was because I thought the rooms could use a deep clean, particularly the bathroom. We would absolutely stay here again. It was so comfortable and relaxing!

We stayed on the 4^th floor of the Sanibel View building. Our room was recently renovated and was really nice (except for some wear and tear on the bathtub). We had a screened in balcony overlooking the Gulf, ceiling fans, kitchen, and super comfy beds.
Instead of a room key, you’re given a wrist band which gives you access to your room, the three swimming pools, and let’s you charge and food or drinks from the restaurants to your room account. It was very convenient and it was nice not having to worry about losing room keys or where we were going to put them.
The layout of the bathroom was great, with the sink/​vanity area separated from the main room and the shower/​toilet area by a door on either side. That way, when you take a hot and steamy shower, you can shut the door to the shower area behind you and all of the steam will be sucked out by the fan while you dress and do your hair in the vanity area with a mirror that remains steam free, yet you still retain privacy from anyone who may be in your main room area by the door on that side. Brilliant design.
We loved that fact that beach chairs and umbrella were included in the cost of the room as well as paddle board and kayak rentals. Two free drinks and a free beach bag also made us happy. The beach was very nice and it was a little over a mile walk down the beach to the Ft. Myers pier. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the reasonably priced food and drinks from the poolside restaurant. A free daily breakfast buffet was also included in the price of the room and that rocked too.
Overall, it’s a great place to go for a little sunshine and relaxation. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Incredible views, we had two balconies, one with a hot tub! Full kitchen was a major plus as well. Clean. The only downside is that it’s a walk from the town and has a very generic resort feel.

Amazing view, awesome access to the beach and water activities. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Clean rooms, kitchens, lovely smell in the lobby, great pool. I could go on and on… The main highlight was finding live sand dollars and starfish in front of our hotel

Total experience is great.
Unilocal and other sites gave this really high ratings. When we first checked in, our first impression wasn’t jiving with the high marks. They put us in the older (I’m assuming it’s the oldest section) hotel, the Sanibel View Villas. It’s basically a glorified, old Best Western. The room is not worth the $ 325 a night. BUT — the next morning when we go out on the beach, it kinda makes up for the room. Beach is first class. The family even mentioned over lunch (At the hotel’s Bongo’s which is fantastic food — we loved the flatbreads) that this beach is actually better than any of the Hawaii beaches we’ve been to. The free beach chairs and umbrellas and the activity hut being so close… well…these other things are really nice. Hotel service people bring drinks and stuff which is wonderful.
Hotel service is great. Beach is great. Hotel food is great. Beach loungers and umbrellas are free, and that’s great. Activity hut was really close and that was great.
Room would be about 2 stars (especially for the price). Everything else is 5 stars.

July 4^th fireworks were great on the beach — however — was told the $ 21 buffet had «more food than one could eat». We did the buffet. Well it was hot dogs and hamburgers. Yep. $ 21 buffet with hotdogs and cold buns. They did have some grilled chicken and fried fish filets too, but for $ 21 a head I expected more. I was being polite with the original 4 star rating and couldn’t let this slide.
