Bistro 41

Great service. Good-​sized portions. Delicious meal. I will be back for the outdoor seating in the winter!

Decided to drop in for lunch today. Seated outside at a for spot. Nice table and well-​shaded. I had a dry martini with Kettle 1 vodka; excellent. My wife has meatloaf and I opted for the Prime Rib au jus. Both our meals were excellent. Shared a bottle of Newton cabernet on recommendation of server; good, but overpriced. Overall, good, but not great.

Matthew was a fantastic server, very knowledgeable and made our date night a great one. The food was excellent and great wine list. Deal running gave us 50% off the bottle. The restaurant ambiance was very relaxing and tranquil.

The service was great! The food was mediocre. Very disappointed in the way the handle their coupon offer. When they offer you a bottle of wine for half price, they fail to tell you that you can’t use the coupon for the dinner. I didn’t see that stated on the coupon itself. The only thing the coupon says is that you must be seated prior to 6 pm to use it. Also the first bottle of wine we ordered was spoiled. The management even agreed it wasn’t right. The next bottle was more expensive. One would think, you’d be given the more expensive bottle for the price of the original one you ordered.

Mothers day brunch was very good. Specials were well thought and the quality of the food was great. A minor bit disjointed on the service, but very personable and got the details right.

Came here for a business dinner. The service was good, and the atmosphere was excellent as usual. Alas, the food did not follow suit. It was mediocre at best. The chef special looked much better on the menu than on the plate. It was dry, bland, and expensive. The filet was well prepared and moist, but again poorly seasoned. Hint: if you call it the chefs special, make sure it’s actually special.

It was a lovely day for lunch outside at Bistro 41. I normally don’t like to go to The Bell Tower because it gives off such a «Palo Alto Pseudo Silicon Valley Vibe» — it’s a California thing … Regardless, you certainly get great service at this place. We started with wine and I had a nice rose from Aix-​en-​Provence. We didn’t get a little bread platter with an olive oil dip until our meals were served, and it would have been nice with the wine. The dipping sauce was full of rosemary. There was not another flavor, so overpowering was this herb. We both disliked it. But the bread was delicious. I ordered the Bistro 41 meatloaf which came with mashed cauliflower and sautéed spinach. The meatloaf is absolutely delicious and mashed cauliflower is much tastier than mashed potatoes, in my opinion. The sautéed spinach was slightly bitter. The menu mentioned a port wine gravy would accompany the meatloaf but to me it seemed more of a ketchup sauce. It was OK, but sweeter than I expected. Overall, the food is quite good and the ambiance enjoyable.

We went here while on vacation in Ft Myers. Our waitress was very kind but perhaps could have checked in on us a few more times. I got the pork and would have loved to ask for extra Marsala sauce but went ahead and ate because it would have gotten cold… It was almost gone before she came back. The environment was nice! We sat outside. The food was pretty good but didn’t completely «wow» me.

This is decidedly a mixed review. Good food, ambivalent service.
We took my father for a «significant» birthday, and the restaurant nicely took notice in advance. We were greeted and seated cordially. Drink orders went smoothly.
When ordering dinner, I asked if I could get a small slde Caesar salad, which the server noted when she took the order. I was brought, however, a full dinner size salad, with the explanation that the restaurant did not have small side salads. The salad itself was chopped iceberg lettuce with lots of croutons and only the dressing to make if a Caesar salad. Not a good sign.
On the positive side, the Grouper special was excellent, and the restaurant did a nice job of substituting the side dishes for one of the party who did not want garlic in the food.
I had asked in advance for a chocolate cake for the birthday boy. Well, they don’t serve chocolate cake, but insisted that the chocolate bread pudding was a close substitute. So, after the entrees were cleared, we were presented with a single serving of chocolate bread pudding with ice cream and a candle for the dessert. However, one serving of bread pudding does not serve a table, so we had to order another one, which came later. We asked for plates to split up the dessert as best we could, which we received, but we never received the additional silverware that we asked for, and had to use our coffee spoons.
The restaurant was fairly empty during the evening, but our server seemed to be responsible for a number of tables both inside and outside, and seemed decidedly inexperienced.
Another positive note — the Unilocalseat reservation process worked smoothly.
So, not a terrible evening, but a bit awkward in spots.

Recommended restaurant by Avis representative at Ft Myers airport. This restaurant was by far best place we ate at during our stay in Fort Myers. The filet was delicious and cooked to perfection with peppercorn sauce, spinach, and cauliflower. We were dressed from being at a ballpark and weren’t dressed appropriately and we still had great service.

We have gone to bistro 41 many many times and have always enjoyed the food and the service. We have had lunch there, happy hour, and dinner on many occasions. Excellent service staff and excellent food. And I dearly love the two for $ 41 special

Just had the happy hour apps amazing flavor amazing price! Not sure why the reviews are low. The portions were huge. People are your taste buds dead? This place is very pretty and at ½ price it’s amazing. For the size I’d pay full price.

Excellent bar scene and patio. Our waiter Harrison was very good and gave very good advice on the menu and made the evening fun. Mahi on the menu was great and my husband had the scallops. We enjoyed the Cloudy Bay sauvignon blanc. We will definitely return when we are in town!

Wow really was disappointed. Had the Filet mignon and ordered it well done but I did not expect it to come out burnt. Claamri was good and the spinach salad was good. I think next time I want to spend that kind of money. I will go out to bistro 841 out in Naples.

Always a great meal and great service at the bar with Caitlyn. She is friendly, fun and every drink is perfect. Wouldn’t be Sunday without the Bistro!

Located in a posh plaza in a nice neighborhood yet not meeting the standards of high end bistro… You’d assume the food would be quite tasty, served in an interesting way, with menu offering choices for all kinds of diets and restrictions… Well… No.
It’s very basic in its selection. Doesn’t offer many choices for vegetarians and gluten free eaters.
The food presentation on the plate is plain and simple like at a diner.
The taste of good is veeeeery disappointing. Again, not much different for me whether I ate at a corner restaurant/​diner or here.
Also, my dishes weren’t served the way they were described on the menu. They were missing ingredients. Preparation was also very poor.
And by the looks and location of this place I thought I’d have a decent food experience… Oh well…

We went here just for drinks, so no comments on the food. Bar is small and atmosphere is just meh. It is in a good location and has a cool outdoor couch area that may be fun for a group to hang out with drinks.
But for me on this late night — I was turned off by the attitude of the employees and management. They just came off as very inhospitable. It could have been an off night but that was the impression it left on me so I will probably not got back to dine there.

I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of food from Bistro 41. Their staff is always nice and attentive. They have a fairly extensive wine list to pick from and a fully stocked bar. A nice place for a date night, but not somewhere I prefer to frequent regularly.

I’m giving this place a 3 not because I didn’t enjoy my food because I did. I had the almond crusted Mahi Mahi with Creamy Curry Fettuccine, and It brought me back to my Jamaican days in Ocho Rios when I would order Curry Steamed Fish with Rice and Peas. My favorite dish in Jamaica:-) it was really good, but I have to say expensive. Especially the divers scallops for the portion. I’m no cheapo, but 3 meals for $ 100 (not including tip) that come with no additional sides is a bit too much for me. Maybe, just maybe. I’ll go back one day, but at lunch for the specials.

So disappointed Ordered the special strip skirt steak med rare. Came out well. It was tuff and tasted like they had defrosted it. They did a balsamic glaze but put so much on the steak that until I scraped it off that’s all I could taste.
Mom had the petite filet. 4 – 5 ounce. Defiantly 4 ounce. Cooked Med rare. She ordered rare.
Broccoli was tuff. Aldente has a whole new meaning. It needed a couple more minuets.
The service was fine.
I was very disappointed. They usually have great food. Maybe they are off because it’s out if season.
