I understand Caché has closed down their restaurant section, and is a latin nightclub these days. They might serve snacks, but that’s about it. Too bad because the food was inexpensive and tasty. We used to get the«Executive» Lunch which was Roast Pork served with Plantains and rice & beans for $ 6.95. Seemed not as tasty as what one can get in Miami, but don’t have to drive all the way there either. Where can one go in Fort Myers for good Cuban — or Puertorican — food? Don’t want to have to go across the Caloosahatchee River for this! I discovered a Cuban Bakery in Cape Coral, «Casa Rojas» which has excellent, made-in-house, square(never seen this shape before) Cuban Crackers, a bag for $ 1.50, and the usual assortment of yummy Cuban pastries. I got some Guava, Flan and a «Borrachito»(«Little Drunk» — drunken with Sugar Syrup), and Cuban Sandwiches($ 5.95, ½ for $ 3.95) right on Del Prado Blvd. The Cuban Bread was as good as the ones in Miami, much better than those from Publix or Winn-Dixie. They also had business cards for a «Rincon Cubano» also in Cape Coral, which has received good online ratings.

Great Cuban restaurant near Edison Mall. The serve large portions and the dishes are flavorful. Black beans are great. Like their cuban coffee too.
