After communicating with the owner of McGregor Glass, it seems my experience was an outlier and that my estimate was simply lost in the shuffle. She stated they have been extremely busy and apologized for the miscommunication. While I did not use their services, I feel confident that their apologize was heartfelt and sincere and that they were just too short on staff and too busy to give proper customer service at this time.

Horrible. I left a deposit for shower glass, 2 mirrors, beveling on another mirror and installation of some glass shelves. I also had someone measure for another property/​job and left a deposit on that. Throughout the process of trying to get an installation date, I could not get anyone to return my phone calls. When I finally got someone, I was told it would be installed (I believe) 6÷16÷15 or 6÷23÷15. When it came close to the date, I was told they could not do it because a couple people quit and the owner got into an accident. So, I was patient. I was told it «probably» be the following week, that someone would call. They did not call me. I called back, and again, was told to wait. Then, I was told they lost the measurements for the other job. So they came back out and re-​measured. This week, Monday 6÷29÷15, I called to find out when I would be installed. I was told that I would be called back. I was not. I called the following day, late afternoon, and left a message. Basically, if they cannot get it installed, refund my money and I will go elsewhere, despite waiting over a month. I was told it would «probably» be Friday. I asked «probably»? or «will be» as I don’t want to wait any longer, I had been patient enough and if I were at least kept in the loop, it would be different, but nobody ever calls me back. I was told it would be Friday. I called back a few minutes later to confirm since 7÷3÷15 is right before July 4, and I did not want to get a call at the last minute that it cannot be installed.
They arrived today. Several times, I asked them to be careful with the ceiling fan (brand new) that was installed. One of the guys kept telling me «don’t worry». They stood it up on its side and hit my fan and damaged it. As they put the glass in the shower, they damaged the drywall on the ceiling. One of the guys came out and said «I told you we wouldn’t hit your ceiling fan». I replied, «actually, you did» and pointed out where it was damaged.
Someone in the bathroom overhead and said something to the effect of «you got a large piece of glass and you are complaining about the fan»? And I said, «well, yes, because I told you to be careful and ½ inch more to one side you would not have hit it. Should I not be upset about the drywall damage either»? He came out and said «you won’t be happy with anything, you’re just an @sshole». I asked him, «what is your name?» as I was planning on calling the store and complaining to the owner about how rude his employee was. His response «I am the owner». I said, «and you treat your customers like this?» Apparently he did not hear me, thought I said something else, charged up on me with a puffed chest right in my face like he wanted to fight and screamed «what did you say»!!! I repeated, that I cannot believe you would treat customers like this. He said «I am not doing anything else for you, ever». I replied «good, and you can cancel the other job». He replied «oh, that is already done». He acted as though he did me a favor bringing in the shower glass and I should accept whatever damage he wants to do («let the f@ck!ng painters fix it, your house isn’t complete anyway»). Which is not the point of whether my house is painted or not completely. Drywall damage is TEXTURE not PAINT and I paid to have glass installed WITHOUT damage, not have to have more people come back and fix their work because they can’t walk ½ an inch more to 1 side where there is plenty of room or push up the ceiling drywall slightly harder to avoid issues. You have 5 guys there, 4 on the glass, one guy could actually DIRECT to AVOID issues.
He left, did not complete the job, and has my deposit on another job he will not do (nor would I let him in my home after his threats and profanities).
Apparently, I will have to go to small claims court. His attitude was unfounded. He nearly hit me in my own home. His problems with employees, accidents, etc. is not MY fault. Don’t take out your problems on me. I can certainly understand why his employees are ex-​employees.
Save yourself hassle. Go elsewhere.

I just had a shower door and three windows installed by McGregor Glass. I have to say I was so pleased with the guys who did the installation. They were neat, organized and did an excellent job. I would have given the company five stars except I had to call them about scheduling my installation. When I called supposedly the windows had come in the day before it was almost an 8 week wait. But I guess good things are worth waiting for. Special kudos to Bobby.

Just used McGregor Glass to replace my shower enclosure at my condo in Fort Myers. The people that I dealt with there (Lauren, Dan) were great. They took time to make sure what I purchased matched my needs and also were very conscientious to get it done right. I would strongly recommend them if you are looking for honest and reputable people who truly care about satisfying the customer.
