Specialties

We are part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. We are a biblical, missional church dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of God through truth and love. New Hope offers a variety of spiritual education programs for all ages. Join us Sunday for either Traditional (8am and 9:30am) or Contemporary (11am) worship services. Pastor Eddie Spencer preaches reformed theology with grace and an authentic love for all who walk through our doors.

History

Established in 2008.

We are a young church with deep roots. Many of us were part of another reformed church in Fort Myers, which was part of the PC (USA). After grappling with the denomination over issues, such as the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture, in early 2008, our congregation voted overwhelmingly to request dismissal from the denomination, at the cost of losing the church building and property. On Easter Sunday, 2008, 1600 worshipers celebrated our first Sunday together as New Hope Presbyterian Church, now part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. We meet in a rented facility and share space with a local Brazilian congregation. In 2011, we paid for 20+ acres of land and are preparing to launch a capital campaign to build our new church facility. Our founding senior pastor, Dr. Bill Stephens, courageously led our church family through this difficult journey from 2005 until 2011. Our new pastor, Reverend Eddie Spencer began his ministry at New Hope on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
