Scotty’s Auto

I’ve only spent a year in ft Myers, and that’s plenty for me. I can say with all honesty that I trusted the staff at Scotty’s more than I’ve been able to trust any other auto repair shop I’ve been to. If something was wrong they’d tell me, but also say «there is no hurry to get it fixed now, but I wouldn’t go another 6 months.» I will truly miss having a shop that was so honest. It’s a pleasure to sit in their well kept waiting room. And I can’t forget that awesome coffee machine they have. Just a great place to be.

First time I needed my car fixed in Ft. Myers. I chose Scotty’s because it was convenient to my work and had good ‘curb appeal’. Definitely the right decision!!! I brought my 2003 Jeep Wrangler in with an ignition problem and I had not made a reservation. I came in @ 08:30 and was out by noon. The staff was courteous and extremely knowledgeable. I consider the $ 142.00 spent for a new ignition a fair price and am confident that the work was done properly. I can highly recommend Scotty’s Services with confidence.

Honesty is by far what they pride themselves on!

I used to do a lot of business with Scotty’s. Not any more. The last time I was in I had what I was sure was an out of balance tire. They supposedly balanced and rotated the tires and did an alignment. When I went to pick up the car Phil told me I needed new front A arm bushings and it was better to just put in two rebuilt front axles at $ 531 apiece and since I had high mileage I should replace all four shocks/​struts and he could have it everything in stock tomorrow so I could just leave the car overnight. I paid $ 120+ and with Phil still talking at me about how ball joints work, I left. I got in the car and the vibration I was experiencing was worse. No alignment was done — the car still pulled slightly to the right as it did before the service. I took it to Jerry’s Tire and he found that I had a tire that was badly out of balance (which is what I thought all along) and for $ 42 the problem was fixed. Never going back to Scotty’s.

These guys are the best! I was visiting from another state when my car overheated on arrival in FL. I took it in to Scottys and they went to work on it right away. Diagnosed a leaking radiator and faulty coolant switch. Both were replaced and 2 weeks later, the new radiator started to leak. Took it back and Phil arranged to have the radiator replaced at no charge to me, not even for the labor. Took it in again to have some side marker lights replaced and they would not charge me for the labor, only charged for parts. You really don’t find customer service like that very often. Both Phil and David really have their customer’s interests at heart. I can strongly recommend them for both know-​how and customer service. It just doesn’t get better than these guys!
