Amazing museum. Learned alot about military history. Great place to take the kids as they have really cool hands on stuff. Take your time here and truly absorb the amazing history of the Navy Seals and what they are all about.

Great… Inspirational and informative museum. It is really a rather small museum, but the collections are really good. Was lucky to get into a group with a docent who was actually a SEAL during the Korean war, or at least the equivalent of a SEAL. The stuff these guys do is really impressive.

Amazing museum that does a great job educating you about the history of the Navy SEALs. They have a video room when you enter that has a documentary about the history and some of the things the SEALs go through during training, and beyond. There are some really cool interactive displays where you can go inside a helicopter used to rescue two hostages, as well as the escape boat used Captain Phillips (portrayed by Tom Hanks in the movie).
What really impressed me was the display where you could pick up replicas of some dozen or so firearms that the SEALs carry. They are heavy! No wonder these men are so physically fit. They also have a display showing the amazing dogs that are vital parts of some SEAL teams.
Outside they have a training course, and many models of various boats and crafts they have trained with. Very cool Museum! Thank you to all that dedicate and sacrificed their lives to serving our country, and their families.

I have been wanting to go here for years, These are my Poeple and my boats. Made friends in both the teams and Boats I will never forget.
Seeing the SDV’s Again, The PBR’s etc made me smile from ear to ear…
I am Disappointed the SEAL/​UDT Museum only concentrates on themselves and Uses our Boats to amke money on, and show no acknowledgment towards Boat guys, It has always been that way but the peronal relationships between UDT and BOAT GUYS has always been one of mutual respect.

A friend of ours stopped by the museum a few weeks ago, enjoyed it and recommended it to us. So we went to the museum the morning of 3 February 2015.
Parking was a breeze, and plenty of it. There are many craft exhibits walking up to the front door, but we didn’t tarry in order to get the inside scoop. After paying our entrance fee, $ 8 pp adult, with no difference for seniors or military veterans, we were told to start in the room to our left which was all about WWII. One of the docents said he would be in in a few minutes to talk with us about the displays in that room. And he did. Some great stories and a look back as to the beginnings of the Navy Seals. After about a 30 minute orientation, we moved on to other exhibits, which moved along a timeline to today. And along the walls between exhibit rooms was an arsenal of weapons.
The last room brought us more or less to today. There was an exhibit that showed how Bin Laden was found and disposed of. There were several modes of transportation, wheeled wise, and the life boat where the captors of Capt. Phillips were shot by Seal snipers.
We then went outside where several boats used by the Seals in Vietnam can be found. Some can be boarded. One had a powerful movie going on that seemed to romanticize war. Kind of a John Wayne rah rah movie. Well filmed, but there is nothing romatic about war from my perspective.
If you were ever in the military, regardless of the branch, check it out. And if you weren’t in the military, learn something about the men and women who protect us ²⁴⁄₇.

Had a great time today visiting the museum. Everything displayed is amazing with all the history you need to know about it. So much to see inside and outside and plenty of pictures to take. They had an American Bald Eagle which was breathtaking, they have obstacle courses for the kids, and they had Food Trucks and Music. A great place to spend the day during an event like today.

This is a fantastic museum, well worth the 5 hour round trip from Ocala while we were visiting from San Diego. The Adult admission of $ 8 is very reasonable. The museum is incredibly well thought out and well presented. The exhibits are very informative, beginning with the Seals origins in the NCDU and UDT’s of WWII and continuing through Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, the Persian Gulf and up to the war on Terror, including the Maersk Alabama and the raid to get Bin Laden. There are lots of weapons, vehicles, and boats.

Well worth the money. the place is clean and well lit. very informative and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. great for all ages. handicap accessible. exhibits well maintained.

For anyone interested in military history or history in general it just doesn’t get a whole lot better than the UDT Seal Museum. Not only tons of cool information but all kinds of displays, exhibits and stuff to look at.
Of course the star of the museum now is the actual tender from the Maersk Alabama, the ship that was taken by the four Somalia pirates that were later killed by Seal marksmen. The story was made into a great movie called Captain Phillips. The movie takes a few liberties with the real story but it gets the idea across.
Besides the tender, lots of guns, vehicles and all kinds of cool and ingenious equipment used by the Seals and navy frogmen are displayed and explained. Outside there are several gun boats that have been used over the years.
A very cool museum that is very well presented. Not a lot a patriotic verbiage and rah rah stuff. This museum represents the facts of what and how the Seals do the incredible things they accomplish.
A wonderful museum that is fun, educational and inspiring. A great little peek into a dark and shadowy world that few people get to see.

this a place that is well worth the visit, even if you are not a military history fan. the outside area is great. they have a bunch of boat exhibits to see a long with one that you can actually board. they also have a semblance of an obstacle course outside that will keep kids and young adults busy. pretty cool. I wanted to try a few things but I am too old. to go inside it will cost you 8 bucks for an adult. it is well worth it in my opinion. the place is well laid out with tons and tons to see and read. I could go on and on but it’s just easier to say go in and see for yourself
