I am am a Certified Domestic (Family) Mediator with 16 years’ experience helping families — especially divorced and remarried (step)families resolve conflicts and build ways to communicate and cooperate. As a stepfather since 1994, I have experienced both the internal struggles and challenges of remarriage, and the external through nearly two decades of working intimately with hundreds of couples as they discover the secrets of peaceful co-​existence.

I offer private mediation sessions, as well as, personalized marriage coaching for families who are experiencing difficulties coping with their relationships. Whether you are newly divorced or remarried, or you have struggled for years, my methods can help you rebuild trust and cooperation. I have a 90% success record with breaking and broken families, teaching and assisting them to discover methods for working together successfully.

History

Established in 1996.

Following my own divorce, I married a divorced mom, creating a stepfamily. After many struggles, we founded a local support group to learn how to survive in our own family. What we learned not only saved our own family, but started me on a career path of helping others. Following intense education, I earned certification in Domestic Mediation.

Since that «baptism in fire» beginning, I have worked with over 1,000 families. I have helped remarried stepfamilies understand their particular challenges and develop methodologies for successfully creating new dynamics that allow them to succeed.

I have specialized in meeting privately with married couples to guide them in re-​building their relationships; I teach groups, from small to large, how to stabilize their marriages; and I have also authored a series of guidebooks for stepfamilies which allow them to learn more about their own specific needs on their own.

Bob Collins is a professionally trained and Certified Family Mediator, an experienced family and personal coach, a licensed minister, Founder and Director of STEP-​Carefully! for Stepparents, a non-​profit ministry for stepfamilies and divorcing couples, and a stepdad.

STEP-​Carefully! is the largest faith-​based support organization for stepfamilies in the world, and is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bob has spoken on national television, on radio in various nations, and in numerous international publications teaching families ways to succeed. He is a respected public speaker and the author of several stepfamily guidance books, he directs STEP-​Carefully! for Stepparents! programs, and his articles on stepfamily dynamics have appeared in local and national publications.

Bob teaches remarried couples («stepfamilies») how to build healthy new homes from past broken relationships, stepparents and stepchildren how to get along, and ex-​spouses how to work together for their children’s’ sakes.
