Campbell County Public Library Ft. Thomas

So much noise! Like walking into an out of control daycare. If you are quietly browsing you will be run down by out of control children and their rude parents. Poorly managed, checkout staff are not friendly.

I love libraries and CCPLFT is a nice medium sized library serving the residents of Ft Thomas. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The library’s collection is diverse with something for everyone, be it actual books, DVD, CD, and magazines. There is a drop box for quick returns and the parking lot as plenty of spaces. And of course, there is free WiFi. I think there is also a meeting room which can be reserved ahead of time.

The Fort Thomas Library is conveniently nestled between downtown Ft. Thomas and Southgate. The library has two entrances and a large parking lot. The structure is modern with new carpet and mahogany furniture. There is a large row of public computers in the main room, as well as tables for reading or paperwork.
The books are well organized, and the shelving makes sense. Topics are arranged in a practical order for patrons to find with ease. The librarians are friendly and will recognize frequent visitors.
There is a large meeting room off to the side which hosts monthly programs for adults and children. Some national acts have come through here, as well as many local authors and presenters.
In 2010, Fort Thomas Library hosted Art After Hours in the summertime; a large festival displaying works for purchase from local artists, a stage with folk musicians, and an entire room full of free food and wine. It was a very elaborate and entertaining event for the community.
The Fort Thomas Library goes above and beyond providing quality services and outreach programs for the surrounding neighborhood.

The Ft Thomas branch is a great place for families and their children, they offer tons of programs and gave a great selection. When the power in half the city ran out I headed up to the library and did my homework.

Another surprise today! The Ft. Thomas branch library is in a residential area and looks plenty nice enough from the outside, but when you walk in, it seems kind of small. Then you notice an entire newer addition that more than doubles the size, I believe. A plaque states the addition was made in 2001.
Neat, modern library with plenty of public use computers; some are even designated for children’s use. I found the library catalog computers and completed a search for the book I was looking for.
The lobby area is inviting and filled with plenty of public use type information on local programs, events, etc.
