Cattywampus Aquatic Adventures

Unbelievably awesome!!! Went on the Fireworks cruise last night and got to see some amazing dolphins and amazing fireworks in the Destin bay which the shoot off every Thursday night. This is a must do!!! Tony and Rita, the staff on the boat, were great! Loved every minute of the cruise!!!

Fun day !!! Chilled on boat w awesome views and good beach music ! Got to the snorkel spot and played in the water a while ! On the way back they had a hermit crab race and water fight for the kids ! Super fun ! Awesome crew !

This is our third year to enjoy the day and evening trips. The snorkeling trip is good entertainment for children. The times we have gone there have been hula hoops and water balloons. The front of the boat is an awesome net to hang our in. Thumbs up for the captain! Really good value for the price.

We picked Cattywampus because of the great reviews on here and it was an excellent decision! We went out on the 5:30pm-8:30pm boat. There were 6 in our group and one other couple with there baby. That was it! We had this HUGE catamaran to just the 9 of us! The netting on the front is the greatest. You can just lay on it and watch the clouds and sunset. We took a short ride then snorkeled for 45 mins then back on the boat to find the dolphins which were in the harbor dock area then a longer ride and relaxing till docking at 830. Our younger girls hulahooped and danced with the on board disco lights. We all would have preferred to snorkel longer and shorten the boat ride. The captain was very friendly, deck hand was friendly to us, (not rude by any means) but could have been a little more interactive/​talkative with the kids. Every tourist trap boat that came around us in the harbor dock area was PACKED FULL!!! Skip them and pick Cattywampus! ! We will do this every year now!

Great way to spend the afternoon. For $ 35 you get 3 hours of fun, you can’t beat that. They have a good itinerary for the family so the kids will never experience a dull moment.

Excellent way to spend 3 hours. We were able to enjoy a nice boat ride, snorkel for hermit crabs, and see dolphins– including a baby! The crew were personable and made the ride fun for the kids with hula hooping, water fights, and hermit crab races. Able to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy. The boat was also not overcrowded like many of the tour boats you see out. Highly recommend!

Had a great time on the Cattywampus. Great for families. I liked the relaxed atmosphere of the catamaran over the more touristy boats. Snorkeling, dolphin watching, hermit crab races, water fights — all great family fun. Captain Tony and Josh made this a very enjoyable excursion!

Capt. Tony is funny, and his first mate (don’t remember his name) plays along nicely. This is an outstanding family outing. The vessel is clean and roomy. Tony is cool like the other side of the pillow as he takes his passengers to find hermit crabs (make sure you bring a couple back on board for the races) and dolphins. This guy is very good at this and the 3-​hour tour was worth every penny. ~ Make sure you bring a few extra bucks to tip his assistant. If you don’t, you’ll feel guilty by the end of the tour.

Great boat and great crew. Every other snorkeling or dolphin boat we passed was way crowded or looked difficult to move around in. Not so with the Cattywampus. For a mere $ 35 we got a 3 hour trip to cruise, snorkel, and sight dolphins. It was exactly what we were looking for! I loved how the stairs go down into the water and they provide nets and snorkel/​masks for exploring the landing and a hose to shower off with when you come back onboard.
The crew was very friendly and laid back, and took the time to chat it up with everyone one on one– «where are you from, are you having a good time», etc etc.
There is a bathroom onboard, and you are certainly allowed to bring lunches and drinks.
All in all, it was a very good value and I would love to charter with them again!

Captain Rex and his team made our family catamaran cruise delightful! We will definitely be using their services again. We hired them for a 3 hour afternoon cruise, wine, and cheese. The guides were personable, and made sure we were all safe! Thank you again for a great time in November 2013!
