Went here at an off time on a Sunday afternoon about 2:30. We asked to sit in the bar so we could catch the Cubs game. They sat us in a booth that had no TV’s within our vision — need more TV’s in this area. We ordered 2 appetizer combos with 3 choices each. Both of us chose French onion soup as one of them. One would think these would be brought out first — nope. All three came out at the same time — and it took QUITE a bit of time for them to come out considering there weren’t many people there at the time. The soup was ok, however the cheese was not put under the broiler so it could get ooey gooey and browned. The pretzel sticks were good, as were the mozzarella sticks and boneless wings. I did not care for the cheeseburger wontons. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but the service could have been faster and the food should have been better. I don’t see a reason to rush back.

The food was decent, nothing bad or exceptionally good. The waitress was another story. After beginning really well, her service plummeted. She began by taking our order which was OK. When she brought the appetizer, everything was OK. But when she brought the entrée, she reached across the current food to place down the new food instead of waiting for an open area. After that, we were only halfway done with our food when she asked us about dessert. We told her what we were going to order. Within 3 minutes she wad bringing out the dessert, even though we clearly had not finished our main courses at all. The alcoholic beverage i selected, Bahama Mama was also very subpar. It was not a bad experience but definitely my what I’m used to in the service industry.

The good, the bad, and the red. A typical Friday night for me does not include a stove. I decided to treat my go to guys to a dinner out. The good: the atmosphere is friendly and engaging, seating is plentiful, and the staff is pleasant and it meets my budgetary constraints. The bad: it hoping, ok popping more like it, on Friday nights. I suppose that is to expected. No one wants to use the stove on Friday night, if you do, pipe down Sparky, I’ve got enough issues. The red: I like my meat the same as my laundry, well done and without sauce spots. My quesadilla burger came out medium rare, dude I saw red, and heavily sauced. Well, there went my Friday night lights excitement. I just ate my fries and envisioned a better burger and a world without sauces.

I had high expectations of this AppleBee’s, due to the fact that many friends of mine had praised this place many times. However, I wasn’t all that impressed with the food or the service. My family(group of 5) went at 10:30pm, and the restaurant had only two other small groups in it. We had to wait more than 30 minutes for our food(4 entrées) and the food was below par. Nothing special. The food on the 2 for $ 20/$ 25 menu are so bland and could’ve easily been bought somewhere else for less. The service was friendly though.

It’s over priced for the food that you actually get. They keep giving you less food the more times I go there. It’s honestly a waste of money. When you order a sandwich they hardly give you any fries, etx. The salad that I got was just huge pieces of lettuce. Also the food isn’t the freshest.

After waiting a few minutes to be seated(no one was there to greet us at the door) the manager came up to help. We were seated at Jamie’s table. Jamie was a very pleasant and professional waitress. We received our drinks right away and our food in a timely manner. It was hot and good though the three Cheese pasta penne was a little bland but it was edible.

This is your average Applebees with the normal feel. It is a more sport sports bar with TVs that show the game in a bar to enjoy drinks. There are also many murals of sports around the outside. The service here is always great. We come here often enough to where people know us in servers already know what we will get. The food itself is pretty good as well the only bad thing is sometimes I feel like their portion size is a bit small for how much the food costs. Also sometimes I feel like their drinks are not strong enough either.

I’m not sure if you can give less than a one star. Anyway, we didn’t even make it to our table before deciding to leave. The host greeted us when we walked in the door and muttered something that I couldn’t understand. We stayed waiting at the host stand. He came slinking back and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. The place was near empty. I told him that we wanted a booth. He said he needed to wipe one off. There were dozens of booths. He slow paced it back to us and we said enough is enough, left, and drove down the road to Longhorns. Bottom line is that the host had zero motivation and didn’t want to be at work that Sunday afternoon. I’m not going back.

I have dined here previously and have found their staff courteous and efficient. I like their riblets especially. They are fall off the bone tender. The garlic mashed potatoes are a mouthwatering treat. It seemed family friendly and yet accommodated a rather large business lunch crowd. Kudos!

This was a disaster. Hands down worst service I have ever gotten from a supposedly nice sit down restaurant. We only had a party of two, and the appetizer took at least 20 minutes to arrive. The food was not good quality. I had the double crunch shrimp with a side salad. The shrimp was pretty good, but it took a good 10 minutes to flag down the waitress to get some cocktail sauce, which was supposed to come with my meal. The salad was sub-par and not fresh. I was surprised when my refill of iced tea came with a lime instead of a lemon. Our waitress never brought us any of our food; it was all various staff members that seemed to be waiting on us. It was also a surprise when the waitress split the check down the middle without asking first. She kept making excuses and thanking us for our patience, because apparently a few big parties had come in. I asked for the check as soon as possible, and it still took 20 minutes just to ring us up. This restaurant is understaffed, poorly managed, and at one point I heard a vacuum cleaner. Clearly not eating here again.

The food was greasy and the service was slow. We waited to be seated 20. Minutes we waited for a waiter 10 minutes we waited for our order 45 minutes. This was the worst experience I have had with this chain, it is slow and the food I not worth the price. Avoid this one

I’ve given this Applebee’s several chances to prove that my first experience in there was a fluke. It wasn’t a fluke. Visit #1: My husband just deployed the day before, so I wasn’t feeling like cooking for my children and myself after church. We stopped in for lunch and it was D.E.A.D., so I was expecting better service than usual. Not the case. The server was not at all cordial. We all ordered something easy and light, my kids got applesauce and grilled cheese, I got a BLT and tomato basil soup. ALL of our spoons were FILTHY. I politely requested new ones. We waited for ten minutes for new spoons because, per the manager’s words, «instead of just grabbing new ones from the clean silverware, the server ran the spoons through the dishwasher again and polished them.» Really? By the time we got them, our food was cold. I wasn’t happy at all. My kids were all getting antsy by the time the bill came. It ended up being free because of our wait, but that still didn’t change the poor service. Visit #2: My mom took me out to lunch for my birthday. We ordered margaritas and they were incorrectly mixed. It was pretty much straight tequila and a little ice mixed in.(We ordered on the rocks.) The server was not all there and ordered the wrong sides for my mom and the wrong lunch combo for me. No apology, no correction, no offer of something else. The manager stood at the bar the whole time, didn’t even come to the table. Visit 3: After being cooped up in the house for a week after the big snow storm, my family and I ventured out for a break and some fresh air. There was a 10 minute wait, but the place had plenty of servers and 3 tables sitting. My children and I sat and waited. Mind you, my kids were very well behaved for having been cooped up in a house for a week, but we were put in the VERYBACK table with very little lighting. Our server passed by our table and made eye contact without even saying anything. A «Hi, I’ll be with you in just a minute» would have sufficed. But, no, she bussed two tables and waited on a table that was sat AFTER us first. She finally made it to our table, ordered our drinks and dinner, since we were ready to order, and disappeared. Dinner came out for my husband and three kids, but not for me. I ordered my usual BLT and tomato basil soup. My husband ordered a steak, my kids ordered chicken tenders, Mac n cheese, and pizza. Her excuse? «So sorry, the kitchen is making it now.» And she ran off to a server station to put it in. I watched her order it as I casually walked by to go to the restroom. Again, no apology, no offer to bring something else out while I was waiting, no manager. Needless to say, I won’t be going to that Applebee’s. I’ll go to the one on Clinton and Parnell or out by Chapel Ridge.

Although the food was good, it is overpriced for what you get. Our server was way too out going with his jokes and did not appreciate his sense of humor at all.

I have decided to post an update. I received a phone call from the Manager at this Applebee’s and he was really nice. He apologized for everything that happened to me. He assured me that this was not how he wanted his restaurant run and that he was going to make sure that nothing like this happened again. Guess What I learned from the Manager? The Applebee Sliders on the Appetizer Menu really do come with fries! Thanks to the Bartender for lying to me. He is really a jerk in my book. Who does that? Isn’t the customer always right… not to mention it but it was printed in the menu that it came with fries. Okay I do not want to get mad again. Thank you to Applebee’s Manager at the Fort Wayne, IN for calling, listening and apologizing for what he agreed was unacceptable behavior at his location. You have renewed my faith and I will give Applebee’s a chance again!!! Please read my review below to learn all of the fun things that happen to me when I ate dinner here two nights ago!!!
