During my all of my years as a Hoosier, I was one of those customers that made good use of the Blondie’s cookie punch card: Buy 8 get 1 free. Funny thing is, I’d never been to this location. As often as I am in Glenbrook Square now(only about twice/yr…lol), it never occurred to me to look for Blondie’s in this particular mall. Please don’t ask me what I was thinking. I just happened to venture beyond the store of my addiction and happened to run right into Blondie’s. Buyer beware: If you are sensitive to changes in your blood glucose level then you may want to reconsider(or take your meds or commit to just one bite — that is hard to do). That said, if you are looking for a diabetic sugar coma then this is the place for you. If you can’t satisfy your sweet tooth here, then the problem isn’t your sweet tooth. While the treats at Blondie’s are super sweet(and pricey), they are pretty(to look at) and über delicious. The gourmet treats(cookies, brownies, etc.) are baked fresh daily. Typically, there is a sampling tray on the counter that contains nibbles of whatever selection the employees choose to put out. If you ask to sample something, usually they will put a sample out for you. When available, the day-old buys are a good deal as the cookies are usually 2-for-1. There isn’t a huge selection of day-olds because what isn’t sold that day is donated to local charities each night. The service at this location was quick and the employee was very nice. I tried the fall pumpkin cookie and got my beloved chocolate chip cookies from the day-old stash. Still as good as I remembered. This is a sugar coma done right! Kudos to this location for being the location selected for being aired on Shark Tank.

I moved to the west coast for five years and always had to stop at the mall for a frosted sugar cookie when I was home for holidays. YUM!
